My 1st time camping for 20 years and what a site to do it on. One word sums up our weekend - excellent. In fact one word is not enough, new clean shower blocks, ultra friendly wardens and wildlife in abundance.
I could go on and on but you get the drift.
It is a new site so its still developing but its peaceful and I came back totally chilled and relaxed - will be returning soon.
My over whelming memory will be sitting outside the tent with my son watching the bats hunt overhead - magic moments

What a lovely site!
We chose this site to give our Labrador pup his first taste of caravanning. It's close to home so if we had problems it wasn't too far to travel. Needn't have worried, he loved it!
We went midweek so it was fairly quiet, having asked about disabled access in the booking email we received a very prompt phone call to discuss requirements and on arrival the warden ensured that we were pitched right next to the disabled facilities. The wardens were extremely helpful and friendly throughout the stay.
Shower blocks/toilets were in pristine condition. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the development of this site. There is still development work going on but this in no way impacts on day to day life there. Woodhall is just a very short drive away; although we didn't use the Kinema (dogs not allowed)we do use it on a fairly regular basis and can recommend it.
We'll definitely be going back just for the peace and quiet, though I imagine weekends and holidays are much busier.

We stayed 3 nights in a Conway Cruiser Folding Camper so were on hard standing. We didn't put up our awning as it was a short stay, first time with unit, and rain forecast. (I have dried a soaking wet awning indoors once before!)
Beware using satnav to get you here based on post code: took us down narrow lanes and ended up at a different campsite! so annoying when the lady tells us so confidently that we have arrived at our destination when we hadn't!)
The lady on reception at the site was really helpful on the phone in guiding us to them.
On arrival we were shown the pitch they had allotted, and because it was mid week, we were shown around so we could select another if we preferred. We stayed on the allocated one getting full sun, and no danger of tree sap dropping on the canvas.
They are strict on how you locate on your pitch (I like sensible rules being enforced!) The roads and pitches are topped with large angular stones. Every pitch has its own electric and water hook up, plus its own disposal point for grey water and for toilets.
The site was immaculately clean. There are three toilet and facility blocks, and because there were so few people on site, only one was open, until the weekend. No problems: I have walked further and uphill before now! The facilities are brand new (obviously) and kept lovely and warm and very clean.
We had a problem with a button spring that disappeared inside the bed support leg of the camper, and we got immediate help from the site warden, who went out of his way to sort it.
On our last night it rained from about 3pm until 7. 30 in the morning and the site was not waterlogged or anything.
We will definitely be back. I hope that they get more custom, as they will then be able to stock the reception shop with fresh milk etc. It is only a couple of minutes to Woodhall Spa to the supermarket to get what we needed.
The adjacent pub the Village Limits has won Taste of Lincolnshire awards and we had delicious meals on two evenings in lovely surroundings.
We also had afternoon tea at Petwood hotel but the place has seen better days. However, the Dambusters museum in the little bar is very interesting and very moving.
We also enjoyed the plane stunt flying practice above us on one day, and a Spitfire fly past that skimmed the tree tops. If you go on the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight web site you can check if there are any flypasts when you are due to stay.
Lots of birds, including a bird of prey and an owl.
You can walk from the site through the woods to the Kinema and the Tearoom in the Woods and on to Woodhall Spa.

Only our second outing in the new tent and had a lovely couple of days at this site.
Very friendly staff, given freedom to chose pitch on arrival and plenty of space to do so. Site is set in a nice wooded area just outside Woodhall, plenty of space for the kids to run around, and the centre of Woodhall Spa itself a gentle 15 minute walk away.
Didn't get a chance to try the Pub next door but comes recommended, Petwood hotel (10 minute walk) did a lovely lunch and the kids loved exploring the gardens.
Facilities were all new and very well kept.
Overall a lovely site and would definitely recommend.

The site is so nice, the staff excellent, the toilet block and shower units first class, the best I've ever seen and was lovely and warm
Pub next door very friendly, the town centre about a mile away, we only stopped the one night, a test run on a new tent, and it did stand up to some very strong winds.
We was in the wooded area, so didn't get any sun, but some chose a bit better spots and did get some sun.
Will definitely return, highly recommend.
Had a nice surprise, a couple two tents away was a friend I used to work with, he said the same as me, will most definitely be coming again.

We have just come back from Woodhall Country Park and what a lovely site. Toilet blocks ans showers were all immaculate and well kept.
The site was clean and tidy. The site was quite busy but you still had enough space and were not penned in as you sometimes get on other sites.
The pitches were large and well serviced. The village of Wodhall spa was a short walk - about 15 minutes with our 5 year old with plenty to do and see.
As in previous reviews the wardens were all very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. There was no play park for the children but our 5 year old made his own amusement when he discovered a pheasant hen bird nesting close by.
A very nice site and we will be visiting again soon.

Visited woodhall between the two bank holiday weekends at the end of April. Our welcome was very nice and we were shown to our pitch within a few minutes.
All of the facilities were shown to us and the keyfob access system was clearly explained. The park and its facilities are spotlessly clean and new, even though we got there just after the Easter weekend when the park had been full.
The location in the woods is great for kids to explore and enjoy, we lost count of how many different animals we saw during our stay, but you are only 10 to 15 mins walk from the town centre which is great. There is also a pub within 5 minutes walk if you want to use it.
Overall a very enjoyable stay on a site that we would recommend you to give a try.

Wonderful! Bit dubious going anywhere over an Easter Bank holiday but took the plunge and so glad we did. This site is a joy.
It still has time to mature as is very new. Huge pitches, wardens very pleasant and helpful. Even though practically full, didn't feel hemmed in.
No play area for children, but agree with others, there is so much to do it might spoil the site and there is a large play area just down the road (we took our six year old and she didn't miss one).
Very environmentally friendly. Fishing lakes, lots of geese, plenty of open areas for kids to play. Would definitely return.

Just come back from Easter weekend at this site, and all we can say is fantastic
Wardens extremely helpful always around if you need them
The setting is fantastic, pitches very well maintained with your own water waste hook up and TV Aerial!
The surrounding area is beautiful and the park has lakes and set in woodland.
The park was busy and a real buzz on the site, everyone seemed happy and I'm sure other reviews show this
Above all yes its a new site, but don't let this put you off, we shall be returning, one, if not the best site we've stayed at

We arrived late in the day having decided to make the most of the bank holiday. The staff on arrival were very helpful and showed us to our pitch, and also helped us align our van.
The site is very well designed, clearly marked pitches and most if not all were 'fully serviced'. The park is obviously quite new and still needs some time to mature but don't let this put you off. The woodland setting is very peaceful and safe for children.
Most of the pitches were level ( we camped with three other friends, all with touring caravans).
The toilets and showers are well looked after and kept clean. (The facilities were very new which was great). The blocks also had family shower rooms which were a real bonus. Our only comment would be that at times there was no hot water to the showers, don't let this put you off as we were told that the issue was being fixed. The staff could not do enough to make sure everything was right. The site was clean and tidy.
Although no children's play area, this didn't matter as the surrounding area and woodland provided plenty of areas to explore and cycle. If you want a loud, busy and over crowded campsite then don't go here. If you want great scenery and plenty of places to explore in a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere then go to this site. We have visited many sites over the years and this beats most hands down, even 'caravan club sites'.
The site has a small, well stocked shop, including cycle hire. Good spot for fishing for those that like it, if not just enjoy the scenery and setting.
The staff were always out and about making sure everyone had what they needed and asking for feedback which made it personal and professional.
We have re booked already.
