Excellent location, with sea views from many of the pitches. Pitch area is very compact, though mainly flat. It can get very busy and a cramped. Showers hot, but basic, shop useful, and a great base for the cliff walks nearby. Short walk to the village pub as well. Not much space for the kids to play in, so you have to be especially careful driving around.

It was a joy to stay here. We virtually had the field to ourselves and had a peaceful time undisturbed by anyone! We camped on a little raised hillock, sheltered by trees and bushes, and enjoyed the back to nature feel. Because it was so empty we were able to have a disposable BBQ and discreet fire (in the BBQ foil container, raised off the grass), but I am not sure that this would be allowed in peak season. We had tried to camp here once before but found it chocoblock during a Bank Holiday.I don't think I would stay here during peak times as it does
get a little crowded. The facilities were all we really require (shower-shop-freezer pack hire). Beautiful views on a clear day good base for walking and touring.

Arrived Saturday midday and got on just before site got full. Despite site being full, it did not feel overcrowded. Toilets, showers and wash facilities are adequate, and always had hot water. The toilet/shower block is a bit old, but it was clean and tidy.

Site is mostly on a slight incline, but most pitches are fine. Camp shop has good opening hours, 8am til 7pm, and stocks the usual camping stuff, including fresh bread every day.

Site is located in quiet fields not far from Swanage, and also the Dorset coast. The 143 bus runs from outside the campsite to Swanage, Poole, Wareham and is very handy for getting about.

Excellent coastal walks from the site, either towards Swanage, or for better scenery head the other direction towards Chapman's Pool and Kimmeridge Bay.

Stayed three nights. Would go back. Overall a nice, no frills campsite in an excellent location.

This was our first time family camping,
so we were really pleased to find this site, it's quiet & safe for children,
the amenities were clean with plenty of hot water.
There are some really great clifftop walks within easy reach & the local beaches at Studland were excellent, although the National Trust on beach cafe seemed a bit pricey, a short walk to the end of the beach found us the original wooden cafe which was a lot cheaper for coffe & sanwiches.

First time camping again after some years. Loved the position of this site. Sheltered but with lovely views. 1 mile from the sea, and Dancing Ledge : campsite right next to coastal path. 2 mile walk to Swanage along path, everything well signposted.
We had mixed weather and were pleased to be a bit sheltered. Campers at an exposed site at Osmington Mills lost a tent to a mini tornado the week we were there. No problems on this site. Obviously a popular campsite with families in the height of the season, but we found a place without a problem. Several small fields, some can be reserved. Facilities basic. Shower needs tokens, camping barn (old Nissen Hut) available all year round for walkers. Toilet block to be renovated in the autumn. Strict policy on quiet campsite after 11.45pm which is enforced. Great shop with everything you could want :looks after the vegetarian contingent with Veggie sausages burgers, tartex etc etc. Also sells camping equipment, kettles, stoves tent bits cups plates etc. Papers and bread delivered in the morning to shop. Tea and coffee can be made in the shop : take your own mug. Probably lovely and more peaceful out of summer holidays, but not a problem. Two pubs in village child friendly both do food. Woken in the morning 6am to the sound of sheep and one very loud song thrush ..but we`re not complaining. Bar B Ques for hire. Ice Blocks : deposit £1, and 20p a day to hire. Deposit returned after visit.
Very central for Corfe Castle, Swanage, etc etc. Camper vans but no caravans.
Very cheap for 2 of us with 2 man tent :£7.50 per night. We loved it.

 May Bank Holiday
2nd visit to the site on a bank holiday. First time loved it but 2nd time was very disappointed. Far too many children who were out of control and woke us up at 6am every morning. Tents were squashed together and it was very chaotic. We always liked the idea of the later quiet time of 1130 pm but now feel they should make it go through until later in the morning. This used to be a place to get away from it all but now it seems everyone has heard about it. I won't be going back.

A very well organised and popular site - we only just managed to squeeze in on the Thursday before he Bank Holiday. It has a great camp shop with loads of useful camping bits & pieces and a freezer full of ice packs for hire. The toilets/washrooms/showers are fine and we loved the fact that it had recycing facilities on site.Best of all was the layout of the site, whcih is split into little fields rather than one enormous one and the kids had great fun climbing trees in between the fields. It is in a really lovely location near to the coastal path and there are some wonderful rocky coves to the west as well as lovely beaches to the east.We also had an enjoyable evening at the local pub where there was a talented singer/guitarist.
