We have stayed at New Lodge Farm twice now. It's a lovely site, well kept, and the facilities are top notch (the site is only a year old though, so they're all new)
This time, the site was busier, as it should be as word gets around. The other occupants were quiet, and friendly. No children allowed. The only minus points were that we were initially charged at the caravan rate, despite the owner being aware we were in a tent. Upon querying this with the warden later, he made it sound like it had happened a few times before. He reimbursed the excess, but I wonder how many people don't bother to query the over charge?
Another minus is the grass - it's never picked up after mowing, and it gets everywhere. Please get a mower that picks the cuttings up as you go, it would make the whole experience so much better.
The noise from the main A43 around 100 yards away is a bit intrusive, but not so bad if using a camper or caravan.
The tea room on site is very pleasant, although we were plagued by flies. We had a coffee and a pot of tea, and it came to a whopping £5. 20!
Take your own milk too - 95p for a pint, when it's 45p in the supermarket. I'm all for making a profit, but a bit excessive really.
All in all, though, I do love the site, and I would definitely go again

Just had the May bank holiday here and really enjoyed it. Good sized serviced pitches with pleasant views over open countryside. The shower block and toilets kept very clean and water always hot enough.
The wardens and Simon the owner always very helpful. There's a farm shop on site that appeared to be well stocked with a cafe that serves meals. They sell a few basic caravan/camping essentials in reception just in case.
On the day of our departure we were told not to rush off and that we were welcome to stay the rest of the day if we wish. (Nice one guys but we had to get back).
All in all a good experience and we will be back.
Your all doing a good job at New Lodge Farm, keep up the good work.

What a great site! friendly welcome, you choose your own pitch. The toilets & showers were spotless, plenty of hot water. For dog owners there is a separate dog walking area. Whilst we were there there was a vintage car rally, as we were staying on the site we were given half price vouchers for the hog roast. Great farm shop & cafe on site as well.
Overall this is one of the best sites we have stayed on.

This is a great new site. It's adult only, which suits us fine having no children and with one of us being a teacher it's nice to have some peace and quiet during the school holidays! There is however road noise from the A43 but this can be zoned out easily enough and replaced by the more relaxing countryside noises. The pitches are generous and all fully serviced. The facilities are nice and clean (although the water temperature in the showers fluctuated a little). The added bonus on this site is the farm shop which sells a whole host of produce and well worth stocking up in. There is also a café within the farm shop which seemed very popular. The village of Bulwick is a 10/15 minute stroll where you can visit a friendly/dog friendly pub. Rutland Water is nearby where we spent a lovely afternoon. Overall this is a great site (not necessarily the cheapest for this time of year but I understand that the price remains static for the whole season at £25. 00 all in - there are no hidden extras). I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a child free relaxing site.

What a brilliant site. Visited for the Easter weekend, and whilst the weather was not the best we had a very chilled weekend. Lovely views over the neighbouring farms, and saw a bit of sheep herding courtesy of Simon, his sheep dogs and a quad, entertaining for us town dwellers. The wardens Steve and Lynne made us very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. And Sarah and her crew in the bistro what a fantastic job they do. The food is brilliant, my husband recommends the hot pot, and I recommend the lasagne and harborough curd cake, home produce and affordable. Shower/toilet block exceptional and a credit to those who maintain them. The dog walk is large and adequate for all sized dogs and well maintained. A short walk to the local village of Bulwick and a visit to the Queens Head is worth the visit. We have no hesitation than to visit this site again and the bonus is it is adult only, so would be brilliant for the school holidays. We will be back lol

Just returned from a lovely relaxing time at New Lodge Farm. A new site and it shows in the fixtures and fittings. The shower block was spotless and very roomy.
The wardens were very welcoming and friendly with lots of information given in the handbook.
Lovely views from all the pitches, either the sheep or the cows in the farm fields (it is a working farm) and lots of sightings of red kites in the sky above. Lovely dog walking area although some people don't 'pick up' even though it is requested! Maybe a sign at the kissing gate to remind people who haven't read the information brochure!
The Dome is the farm shop cafe and the lunch was wonderful, the girls who work there are lovely too. Next time we will buy the steak but this time was tried the sausages, they were great, as was the bread and cakes and biscuits.
There was no rush to leave on our last day and as it was so relaxing we stayed until late in the afternoon. Highly recommend and we will be back.

What an absolute joy of a campsite this is! We stayed here to try out our first caravan and fell in love with the site. It is close to home but it will become our bolt hole. We also want to bring our other camping friends here. The facilities are beautiful & apart from the short time for water on the press button showers are perfect. They are so clean too! The attached farm shop is first class with wonderful produce & sublime cakes & meat. The pitches are super pitches & casting an eye over the camp field there were EHUs available as well as non EHU. There is a little cafe which doubles as a seating area where you get WiFi free. The icing on the cake are the wardens. So welcoming & helpful. I got loads of advice about our caravan & was so impressed to see them give a camper a fan heater as they had been cold the night before. All in all a place to come if you want a first class experience!

Fab site very welcoming and friendly wardens, shower/toilets excellent very clean, pitches good size with great views over the farm and surrounding countryside.
Enclosed dog walk allowing dogs off the lead for a good run, unfortunately a couple of large dogs set about a smaller dog owners didn't have the manners to apologise!
Had breakfast in the Bistro, food excellent and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming.
Will definitely go again.

This is an excellent site, very peaceful even though you are right near the a43 you wouldn't know. The only thing I would have criticism over is not all dogs are on leads and I feel this should be adhered to as you are on a farm with animals there is also a great walking area for the dogs which allows you to let your dog off its lead. The owners need to be stricter on this rule as I feel it will cause problems in the future. The toilet and shower facilities are excellent and recycling points all over the site is a great idea, we used the farm shop too and I have to say the Aberdeen Angus steaks and minted lamb burgers were excellent and the cake shop was good too. All in all this is one of the best sites we have ever been too but please keep your dogs on leads. I would have rated this site 10 but the loose dogs is not acceptable so therefore it loses a point.
