We last visited New Lodge Farm in August 2014, and vowed to return in 2015. Well it's taken a little longer to return but the wait was worth it. In some ways little has changed - on the surface. Still 58 super sized hard standings with hook-ups and own taps; still spotless facilities in the old barn buildings. The 'Bistro' is now more organised and serves a Friday Night supper. Meals are available 0830 to 1630 on Saturday and Sunday. Shame no food at least on Saturday evening, but at least the bar is open. No draught beers, but the Marstons Pedigree is nicely chilled.
The Red Kites were a little conspicuous by their absence for the first three days of our stay, when the site was fairly full, but made many appearances in the latter half of our visit - despite the weather closing in - when the site was less populated.
Claire - the site manager - was very helpful and worked long hours - including in the bar. Fully deserves her Monday and Tuesday off.
Cannot guarantee when we will next visit New Lodge Farm - but rest assured that we will do so.

This is our third stay, had some friends come over, who stayed in our awning, at no extra charge. The weather took a turn for the worst, and the owners of site, were so good, coming round and checking we were all ok, due to having our sun canopy out, before the storm took, and no time me to safely put it away.
We are defo coming back this year, my favourite season site, love the area, farm shop, everywhere so clean. It's a gem, so relaxing, a pub 10 mins away too

A very nice site, lovely, friendly welcome from Claire and staff. Site was very clean and hardstandings were a good size. Toilet block was immaculate at all times. The farm shop was well stocked with tasty produce. Bistro bar was a gem, really nice decor and furniture. Prices very competitive. The appearance and low flying display by the red kites were amazing. A lovely place to chill out. Slight road noise from A43 during day but nothing to detract from a lovely stay.

A great site with everything you could want. On arrival you choose your own pitch grass or hard standing which are mostly level but we needed blocks on left of field. Great welcome and everyone was really friendly. Great facilities, Lovely cafe and shop which we enjoyed for coffee and cake or meal at weekend. Pity it wasn't open more often. Dog field good size and great for giving our dog a run. Quiet despite some road noise. Red kites circling overhead were amazing. Lots to do nearby. We will be back soon.

Brilliant site. Our second time this year and if they weren't closing at the end of the month for the season we would go yet again.
Easy access and hard standing pitches level. Both grass and hard standing but it is first come first served on what you can get.
Washrooms, warm and clean but helps it's an adult only site. Music playing while you have a scrub.
They have 'the Dome' which is open on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I believe some other days as well. Nice place to relax and have drinks, snacks etc. Nice that on a Friday eve you can have a burger, chips and salad or last week it was a curry. They are licensed so can serve alcohol. Very happy sheik and the ladies who serve you are charming.
The wardens are the best we have come across. Very happy and helpful and they work hard.
Dog walk is a field where dogs can run free but I agree with another reviewer that there is a gate one end that dogs could get under and there were sheep in the field. Perhaps that's something that needs looking at.
All in all a peaceful and clean site. You need to try it but leave room for us!

We spent 5nights here. A beautiful rural setting. Arrival was straightforward. We were allowed to save a pitch next to us for friends arriving a little after us. Hardstand and grass available. The facilities block is excellent and was spotless the whole time. The café is excellent. Would be even better if it was open more. Beautiful food available in farm shop too. This is a very peaceful site. Lovely dog walk area where you can let them off lead.
The pub is a good 20 minute walk away but was very nice. Friendly staff and good food.
We visited Stamford and Bundle both pretty market towns. Lots more to do in area but we were happy sitting in the sun chatting over a glass or two. Would definitely return.

The amenities showers toilet block, hookups are excellent even water and waste water disposal facility for each unit The friendly staff could not possibly do any more for you. The site is perfect, peaceful and so very well maintained and set up. The shop and cafe are brilliant (only downside to that is we were only there Mon to Weds and shop and cafe are closed Mon/ Tues) Did manage to try this morning absolutely brilliant. Well done and thank you New Lodge Farm We will certainly visit again

Just came back from this lovely gem of a site.
This was our second visit, the facilities are great but just a couple of 'niggles' that other prospective campers need to be aware.
WIFI this is only available in the shop, cafe and in the shower area, it is NOT available on the actual pitching area, maybe something the owners should look into as the mobile coverage in this area is not great and for some networks its not available. We did not bring a TV because we thought we would be able to stream off the 'WIFI' only this was not the case!
Be aware that when there are 'dog shows in Rockingham you will be disturbed by barking dogs very early in the morning but if you are early risers this will not be a problem!
Apart from this the bar area is lovely and would be even nicer if it closed maybe an hour later!
The Queens head pub is not a 10 minute walk from the site it's more like a 20 minute casual walk down a hill and into the village across from the Church and be aware that you will have to cross an extremely busy main road the A37 to walk into the village but the pub is very nice with a lovely garden and the food is excellent with an extensive menu and very reasonably priced.
Staff are very friendly on the site and the showers are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
This review is based on our visit and felt that we need to be totally honest,
We will definitely return next year!

A very easy to find site just off the A43, very slight traffic noise, but never obtrusive. Grass and hard standing pitches, all fully serviced with water, electric and a drain.
Showers that are really too hot, nice cafe and food shop, homemade fish and chips on Wednesday nights, a very helpful staff.
Do note this is an adult's only Tranquil site, you could hear a pin drop after 21:30 every night, even when full!
Red kites circle overhead, stoats play on the grass. Superb!
A great location for MANY stately homes, Oakham, Stamford, Rutland Water, Barnsdale, etc.
