Just made the acquaintance of this brand new for 2014 site - and added a new name to our small list of 'favourites'. Spent five nights exploring East Northampton and Rutland countryside and towns - what a hidden gem! Great to see Red Kites flying overhead.
Staff and owners very friendly and like to talk to the users; pitches large with hook up and own water and drainage. Good facilities always spotless. Site not extensively used this week, after a busy Bank Holiday, but wider circulation and recommendation will rectify that in a year or two. Venture certainly deserves success. Farm shop and 'bistro' on site, although opening hours of the latter a little restricted. Also wi-fi available in its vicinity.
Close to Stamford and Burghley House, the Nene Valley Railway and Peterborough, Kirby Hall is worth a visit, whilst Rutland Water and Uppingham are close. The Collyweston Slater Inn (5 miles towards Stamford) does a nice meal at reasonable prices in pleasant surround. No public transport. Found TV reception to be poor.
Prices average for this type of site. It IS Adult only - and as a working farm this is understandable and a bonus for those of us who don't want others undisciplined kids racing and yelling all around. Long may it continue! We'll be back next year if it remains so.

This campsite is in a beautiful part of Northamptonshire, the description of 'mini-Cotswolds without the tourists' is apt, with some lovely villages around. We stayed here for 3 nights, really enjoyed our stay, and intend to return.
It's a new site for 2014, but the owners have obviously put a lot of thought into how they want the site to be. Fairly near to the A43, and although you could hear traffic it wasn't disturbing, there are plans for planting to improve this further. Pitches are good sized and flat, and even though we stayed over the August bank holiday, it didn't feel packed.
The facilities are housed in old farm buildings, well restored with exposed beams inside, nicely modernised, and heated. The pot wash/laundry room boasts a freezer for ice blocks, washing machine, iron and ironing board, and big sinks. The showers are good sized (which is important as there is no screen/curtain) so that your kit can be kept dry. Plenty of hot water, although showers are on a timer button, nice hand soap. All frequently cleaned.
There is an adjacent dog walking area which is nicely done, with several paths mowed through the longer grass. A dog mess bin seems to encourage owners to clear up after their dogs well.
The on site farm shop is well established and appears to have a good reputation in the area. It boasts great fresh local produce, meat from the farm, fresh veg', great cakes, etc. We didn't use the cafe, as it didn't appear to offer gluten free options, but it appears popular with campers and locals alike.
The owners, wardens, and staff in the shop are helpful and very friendly, and add to the pleasure of staying here. With it being a new venture, the owners are keen on feedback, to allow them to see the site from the campers perspective, to ensure that they have got everything right, and it shows in things like the comprehensive welcome pack, free wifi (near the facilities block - doesn't reach furthest pitches), copies of maps for local walks in the reception room, etc.
Definitely comfortable camping rather than back to basics, all-in-all a really lovely site.

We have just returned home after ten wonderful days at this site! The staff and owners could not have made us more welcome. The farmers breakfast in the bistro was a great set up for the rest of the day, Simon & Sarah, the owners, offered us coffee when we arrived after a long journey from Northumberland and also gave us some lovely crusty bread from their shop on the Sunday evening. On the Tuesday more than a hundred vintage cars arrived on their events field, a hog roast had been prepared and we were invited to take a look at the cars and enjoy a lovely hog roast sandwich. Toilet block and facilities were all brand new and spotlessly clean. The Queens at Bulwick is well worth a visit, the food was very good but there are plenty of pubs doing food in the surrounding area. We will definitely return to this site and would like to wish Simon and Sarah very best wishes in this new venture.

We visited this site in august of this year. Staff were all very helpful. Owners very easy to talk to and listened to what we had to say. If you are there on a Saturday please say hello to a grand lady simons mum staff love her as much as we did. Toilets clean and tidy. Some trees and extra lighting may help to give some shelter. But the only problems we had could not be blamed on site. Excellent breakfast in cafe. Will be back next year

After picking up our Crusader from the agents we wanted to try it out, it was the Bank holiday after all. We read up on a few sites and decided on New Lodge Farm, wow, all the reviews were spot on. The site is perfect, grass pitches in the center, hard standing around the perimeter. Toilets & shower blocks out of this world.
The farm shop is a wonder, all the veg, fruit & meat that you would want. This site is well worth a visit, even for an over night stop.
In the evening we went to the Queens Head just up in the village, the steak was the best we've had in a while, so all in all a great return to camping for us.

Beautiful, clean, spacious site. Friendly welcome. Showers/loos very nice indeed, clean and well kept. Found one walk near to site, in nearby village of Bulwick but otherwise not a lot in walking distance to do. Near to busy A road, so you can hear the noise of traffic a bit. Not child friendly at all, no kids allowed. Ok for us, but they would do much better to allow kids, as site pretty empty. Cafe/farm shop on site very good, but only open at weekends full day. Otherwise I think only the shop is open till 11am week days. Wifi available if you sit near or in the cafe (or on the loo!. Overall I would recommend this site. Oh, and you must go to the village shop in Bulwick, the most amazing preserves are to be found there. Called The Pickled Village, brilliant cafe too,

Beautiful campsite in rural location with Red Kites and local farm activity.
Positives, Amenities were excellent and all wardens were first class and helpful, Ian the butcher was most helpful and very friendly. Showers and toilets were always spotless. The dog walking area where you could let your dogs walk off lead was a big plus. Autumn plating to take place to help with privacy between pitches.
Negatives. Sadly the road noise was intrusive, especially after midnight. Maybe this was due to ongoing road works??
Our biggest issue was the grass cutting which although necessary left cuttings which clung to the bottoms of our shoes and went everywhere. T&C'S stated no Sign written vans, and only 2 dogs. Both rules were not adhered to. No problem with that, but why put it in T&C'S.
We enjoyed our stay but will endeavour to find perfection, it maybe an impossible task.

What a lovely site. This is our 2nd visit and we plan many more. The shower block is spotless, didn't use the wash up area but had a look and its also spotless. The wardens are the best we have ever met. Friendly and would go above the call of duty to help you I'm sure. We don't have a dog but took a walk along the dogwalk and its a nice stroll. There is a farm shop, can recommend the fresh bread and bacon, and we couldn't get enough of the coffee and walnut cake. Its adults only site with lovely views of the fields, the sheep and cows let you know they are there, and as its new this year its quite open but speaking to the owners and wardens, there are plans later this year to plant tree's etc to offer some protection as they mature. We had a lovely meal at the Collyweston Slater, about 10 min drive. Think this is going to be a popular site as word gets around, its what Northamptonshire needed.

We had noticed this new adults only campsite a while ago and have been trying to find a weekend to visit and this weekend we managed it and how impressed were we.
A lovely spacious campsite with fantastic views, extremely friendly helpful staff who met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know.
We were allowed to pitch where we liked and hook up to the electricity, we already had friends staying here in their van so it was nice to be able to be close to them even though they were on hardstanding. Lots of room for everyone.
Toilets and showers were spotless - great lighting, lovely size showers that were nice and hot, a stool to put your clothes on and a couple of hangers on the door with plenty of space. Showers are push button but thankfully they lasted longer than the normal 10 seconds that we seem to encounter elsewhere. A lot of thought has obviously been put into the shower and toilet facilities.
Lots of great walking from the site, we visited a few beautifully tranquil villages and admired the countryside along with the red kites.
Even though there were quite a few people on the site there was a lovely tranquil calm feeling about it - its just a shame that a couple of idiots had to spoil that by having their music boom booming at midnight on Saturday night but that's not the campsites fault!
We didn't use the café but we may well do on another visit and yes we will definitely be back - we stay on lots of campsites and this was one of our very few favourites.
Just make sure you get the code for the barrier, unfortunately they forgot to give us that piece of information but we managed to obtain it from our friends when we came back in, it wouldn't have mattered though we could have just left the car in the car park over night. It wasn't an issue - and that's how this campsite made us feel - very chilled out about life. Thank you

We spotted this site a while back when we stopped at their excellent farm shop and bistro (highly recommended, particularly the Aberdeen Angus Burger - yum yum) we had a walk round the facilities and were very impressed, so when we bought our first caravan this was just the site to try it out as it was not far from home and the access was really easy for a learner at towing! so we booked in for two nights, the wardens met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the site and letting us choose our own pitch, they also gave us a really useful book if local and site information with pub menus, walk maps and areas of interest.
The site was very quiet, as we come to expect with Adult Only sites, and it was very relaxed. There were experienced 'Vanners' who were happy to assist us if we wanted it, the wardens were really friendly and had a walk round the site each night making sure everyone was ok and a chat was had if welcomed.
The facilities are excellent and were kept extremely clean and there was always hot war water 24/7 which catered for all needs, the site was not full but it was busy and the facilities were always available when we wanted them. The bistro on site is very handy if you don't want to cook from breakfast till tea time at weekends.
The site is next to the main road but as it is above the road the noise was not a problem and I am a light sleeper.
It was lovely sitting out and enjoying the red kites swooping and soaring around, and there is a nice little walk down by the brook area with benches to sit and relax.
Obviously with the site only having opened in April the planting has too mature and this will add to the character of the site.
Would definitely return to this site
