April 2005 Immaculate, attractive site on the riverside. Very friendly and helpful managers. We went in a small motorhome but didn't leave the site for our whole stay of 4 days because there was so much to do immediately surrounding the site on foot. Seemed very popular with dog owners as lovely walks from site where dogs could be let off lead. Despite site being full it was very peaceful and quiet; no road noise.
The surrounds of the site very peaceful too and yet only 2 mile walk from town centre. Riverside Park which is adjacent to the site and leads you into the town centre, is fantastic. Featuring many peaceful, menadering walkways, waterways and bridges to wander through. There are also playgrounds on Riverside Park for babies through to adults and great fun was being had by all ages. There is an excellent chinese and chip shop serving larger than average portions only 5 mins walk from site.

23 july-25th July 2004 A lovely clean site with very helpful staff. We had a large tent (sunncamp xp12) and before charging 2 pitches they asked us to pitch to see how big it was. We didn't get charged extra as it fitted neatly. Road traffic could be heard in the distance in the early hours of the morning (2 kids awake at that time )but otherwise peaceful. Fish and chip van comes every Friday and we had a large prtion of Haddock and chips for a reasonable price. Playground just outside the campsite was wonderful for the kids and they loved the river and feeding the ducks.

April 2004 I had this cunning plan with a 7 month pregnant wife and two very young children. "I said that I would take the two small children on some camping weekends over the summer so that she can stay at home with the new baby and have a more quieter weekend. So after buying all that a camper needs I decided to try out this new equipment with the two children. So decided to book a club reasonably close to where we live. On arriving we had a little wait until a kindly man on a bike showed us our pitch. After struggling with the tent I finally got to explore the site with the children. Clean toilets clean showers nicely mowed grass. It was not long until we got to explore the playgrounds. St Neots was blessed with three good childrens playgrounds all within walking distance of the site, but not to close to disturb the peace of others. The river runs next to the camp which I believe is used as a flood plain in extreme weather conditions. The children loved watching the boats go by and shouting "ship ahoy" in the hope that they would get a friendly wave back which more often than not happened. St Neots town is a pleasent walk along the river and not that far at all from the site. There is a fish and chip shop near the site and also in the town. What else can I say a very well run, clean site, Perhaps my only complaint is that it was hell trying to shower two children. But thats a small point.

August 2003 Camping and Caravanning Club site , and appeared to be up to their usual high standards.
Large recently built toilet block with free showers - very clean. Number of strip washing booths as well.
There isn't a kiddies playground on the actual site , although there is one on the road leading to the site. Because of this the playground wouldn't be suitable for younger children , they'd have to negotiate two roads to get there.
It's a large site , with nice spacious pitches , the best of which were alongside the riverbank. You can fish , and if you're brave, swim I suppose in the river.
There is small newsagent and corner shop within about 10 minutes walk , and a large Tescos supermarket a 10 minute drive away. Turn left alongside the riverside path to get to the Mill pub , serving nice food , and with a lovely riverside location - about 10 minutes walk. Turn right , and you can walk into St Neots , with a selection of pubs , restuarants etc - about 20 minutes walk.
The only thing I'd say watch out for is the approach roads. You need to drive through a residential area to get there, with cars parked on both sides , so watch out for single lane streets if you are towing!

St Neots C&CC is situated on the banks of the River Ouse in cambridgeshire. The fishing is Free, The ouse has plenty of good fish including quality Chub, Pike and Perch. And within one mile from site I'm told good barble can be found.
The site is a short walk from the town center. And when taken via the riverside park is extremely pleasant. It's a pretty town that as grown up slowly over the last thousand years or so.
Electric Hook up is available. Prices are reasonable.
