An excellent site. Had a pitch by the river, stunning views, great for wildlife spotting and very quiet although the site was quite full.
Very clean facilities, toilets, showers etc.Plenty of sinks for washing up too with very hot water. Bins emptied regularly and site kept spotless. Couldn't fault it.
Fish and chip van on Friday. Good fish and chips. Tesco nearby. St Neots town 20min walk.If you want to go further can recommend Cambridge Park and Ride.
A lovely site if you just want to chill out and stay put.Good walks along the river.

I've just written a review only to notice that my travel companion Lyn as just posted one and pretty well covered the lovely experience we had at this site.
It was my husband's first experience of towing a caravan, and the site managers were very understanding and helpful both in not minding us being a bit late + really helpful with helping hubby park & set up.
Wonderful location, very pleasant and peaceful and the river views (on site!) absolutely stunning. Terrific for children too as great playground right by and also a really good child changing room. Even with posters!
The only downside we saw was that the water pump couldn't quite keep up with the drinking water tap closest to our pitch during peak times.
Even so, would happily recommend this site.

This was a first trip in our niece & nephew in law's caravan.
The site managers were really helpful in helping us reverse the van & didn't mind at all that were were late but we had rung them.
It's a funny approach to the site through a housing estate but well worth it.
The facilities are fantastic & I even saw one of the managers cleaning the ladies at 10:15 p.M.!
I was really impressed with the vigilance of the wardens especially on Saturday when they watched a group of young locals & without saying a word they merely left.
The setting is lovely & the site whilst very busy coped with the amount of people there.
One to go back to definitely.

Had a great Easter at St Neots a lovely site I can highly recommend. A little water-logged over the Easter but lovely walks along the river and across the Park into the town of St Neots.
Excellent toilet block and showers, adequate shop and friendly reception. Plenty of leaflets and information. Some great pitches right next to the river which we couldn't use due to the rain.
Very many pretty villages, St Neots, St Ives and many more. Graffham Water nearby for walks and sailing. Cambridge 45 minutes away.
Fish and Chip shop nearby and a visiting van on some days also doing fish and chips.
The nearby park is a childs paradise with a skate park and playgrounds, loads of space and a tea rooms.
Well worth a long weekend.

This was our 2nd visit to St. Neots (see previous review) but this time, the weather was not so kind to us.
The site was very muddy and pitches closest to the river were not in use, the land was just too boggy to pitch a van or tent. This was not the fault of the wardens, who did their best to accommodate everyone, given the difficult conditions. Apparently the site had been completely underwater not 2 weeks before our visit.
We had a pleasant stay, as expected, until the day before we were due to leave, when 'someone' paid a visit to our awning in the early hours and borrowed one or two small items without any intention of returning them. Not a nice experience. However, the wardens were more than helpful, insisted the local police were called, and were most concerned - it turned out we were not the only ones who had been visited in the small hours. The local police were helpful and considerate and followed up the theft after we returned home. Cannot fault the site or the police.
I suppose this kind of thing can happen anywhere and in all fairness, the site managers handled the situation extremely well. It would not put me off returning to the site and would not wish anyone else to be put off from using it, having read this review - just be aware that there may be a problem with leaving anything of value in your awning.
Such a pity that our Easter break was spoiled at the last minute by this unplesant incident as the site is very good, the facilities 1st class and the location ideal for a long weekend - with us being in the Midlands. Would still rate the site v. Highly.

We visited this site on a Saturday in October and were really surprised to find it fully booked. In fact we got the last pitch (next to the toilet block). As we were only staying for one night we were not allowed to “book in advance” and phoned up on the day.
The popularity of this site is well deserved, with pretty river-side walks and only 10 minutes for the town centre. The site is very quiet / peaceful and well looked after and is of an open-field design with reasonably well-spaced pitches all with hook up.
We were greeted with by the efficient staff, but who weren’t very forthcoming with general information.
The facilities were generally good, although given the site price (£23 for non-members!) we were expecting more. The showers although being clean had a head that didn’t seem to get you very wet!
After parking up we ventured into town for some food, however choice was mainly limited to a couple of Indian restaurants and takeaways. We eventually found an Italian restaurant called Il Girasole Pizzeria and thought we had struck gold. However we were disappointed as although the setting and service were generally good, the food was very average and we thought very over-priced for what it was. Maybe we should have had pizza rather than pasta as there was a dedicated pizza oven with chef in the main-body of the restaurant.
Overall a good site that we would consider returning to, if we could book a pitch next to the river and it was a bit cheaper.

One of the best sites we've ever been on. In a lovely setting beside the river.
The town of St Neots is a 20 minute stroll through a beautifully kept park. The park paths are tarmac, so easy going for disability scooters or children on bikes. There's a children's play park and cafe just before you go over the bridge into St Neots town. The cafe do nice sandwiches and even better puddings.
Park has a one way system and a speed limit which was adhered to all the time we were there. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Toilets are clean with excellent showers. NO shop but Tesco's is only a short drive away - a bit too far to walk though.
Turning left and following the river along the towpath (rather rough in places) brings you to an interesting weir and a very nice pub serving meals. You can sit outside on picnic tables or inside for more comfort. There were 10 of us so we booked just to be sure.
Daily papers are available at the post office down the road. Not far on a bike but the first time we stayed on this site I walked every day and got very fit as a bonus.
Thoroughly recommend this site for a relaxing break.

We don't usually weekend in the school holidays, but met up with friends at this site. It was a late booking but the staff still managed to site us next to our friends on level hardstanding with electric hook. The site was full as it was an exceptionally warm weekend and school holidays, but we still felt we had plenty of room. There was a warm welcome when we arrived and shown to our pitch. The site is very peaceful and we walked along the river into St Neots.
Despite being very busy the site was very quiet by 10 p.M. Three ladies showers which were very busy but didn't have to wait long. Staff very helpful in letting us stay until 2 p.M. On the Sunday so that we could watch Motor GP on television.
Definitely recommend.

Unusually wasn't too keen on this campsite though think this is more a personal thing as I don't like the playing field type camping field and this was when I joined the C&C club that day. That said agree with most recent reviews on the cleanliness and peacefulness of the site and the wardens were very efficient. The pub about 10 mins away by walking southwards along the river is called The Riverside tavern,is open all day, does food and serves real ale. Being flat cycling is a possibility, we cycled to the nearby nature res. of Little Paxton (about 3 miles) along a designated cycle route and through the park. Being a busy weekend on this visit would only return to this site mid-week / out of season with the chance of a prime pitch by the river.

We have just come back from a lovely few days at this site.
It is situated next to the river and a 10 minute stroll across a lovely park to the centre of St.Neots.
The site is large, with grass and hardstanding pitches, and well spaced apart. There are 2 clean toilet / shower blocks, with washing up facilities.
The site wardens were all lovely, helpful and very welcoming . They take pride in how often the grass on the site is mown.
There is a very basic shop, although we did not use this.
St Neots and St Ives are both lovely towns and the weekly market is good.
A 24 hour Tesco is near by which is handy.
If you visit Cambridge, the park and ride is excellent value for money.
As with previous reviews, do not be put off by the housing estate that you drive through, because the only time you see it, is when you are arriving or leaving.
We would definitely visit this site again.
