March 2005 Visited over Easter for 9 days. The pitches for caravans are hardstanding. But its the white chalky gravel type which covers the inside of the car. Reception is excellent. Childrens play area very good Shop good. Showers and toilets spotless. Food excellent value we ate most nights in the restaurant and ended up taking all the tinned food back home.
If you visit over the Spring bank period there is a charity fun day which is extremely popular. The bar area is reasonibly priced and a couple of pool tables available. Unfortunately the restaurant is NOT no smoking so be careful where you sit to eat. We will be visiting again

August 2005 just returned from 2 nights at Jacobs Mount, we took 3 children aged between 6 and 8, in our motorhome. The pitch was extremely spacious and level. The showers were lovely, clean and hot. the children enjoyed the play area. we walked into scarborough approx one and a half mile down hill all the way, taxi back was £4. would highly recommend this site peaceful, yet we found central enough, having a motorhome we had to walk and enjoyed it so did the children. didnt use the bar..too tired. good security with coded cards to enter site and showers.

May 2005 Just arrived home from camping at Jacobs. very secure sight (swipecards for barriers). Camping area very quiet, bar on site not large enough for all (smokey and lots of children in 2 areas, 3rd areas for adults too small. Toilet/showers very clean and secure (swipe cards to enter). FREE SHOWERS . A few miles from Scarborough so not within walking distance. Owner - biker friendly (motorcycle) Gave a discount for mentioning motorcycle so please state if booking. Accepts rallies for motorcycles and will give a good rate ! Will recommend and will return. More caravan orientated but very friendly site overall.

aug 2002 The site was very nice and quiet facilities were very clean, quite a way from Scarborough but most sites are not on the door step of the main town. The club/pub was adequate but too many children hanging around outside. Dog walking area could have been bigger, but overall would rate the site quite good.

August 2002 The site is mainly for caravans, tents seemed to be an afterthought!!, pitches far too small, no room for the kids to play. The site in general was okay, facilities clean, and a small clubhouse. The location was right at the top of a hill and completely away from Scarbrough centre/beach etc and you definitely could'nt walk anywhere.

July 2002 Nice site clean toilets etc but mainly caravans. Field not very level for tents. Club house on site OK but nothing special, acts appear on Saturaday nights a bit loud for us sleeping in tents. Generally a nice site shame it rained while we were there.

Excellent site, mainly for touring cavravans but with little pockets for tents, good clean toilets and showers, easy to get to.
