Just returned from 4 night here, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a 4 man tent with EHU. Only £15. 00 per night, bargain good size pitches and very clean, we never used the pub or restaurant so cant comment, showers and toilets were very clean, tokens available outside reception from machine. At times there was no hot water, but that's my only gripe, close to scarbourgh beaches and Whitby. Great fishing complex down the road through west acton. Would recommend and will definitely be returning.

I have just spent 5 weeks at this site and can't praise it enough. You would think that in 5 weeks, something would go wrong or find something to complain about. Not a bit of it. The management and staff couldn't do enough for you. Very friendly and welcoming, kept the place spotless. Really nice clubhouse, well kept ales, food outstanding quality and all at very reasonable prices.
This is a must site for families or couples alike when visiting the east coast. We have met some really lovely people over the past few weeks. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

Site is peaceful and friendly, staff also very helpful. Pitch sizes are really decent - we have our car caravan and and awning and a half and still have plenty room for sitting and bbq
Showers are by token 3 for £1 and last 8 mins which actually is way too long and I found then a little too hot but that may be the sunburn! Family room has a bath for 2× 50p which again gives ample water. The only thing that we found a downside was that it too hot in the family room, could have done with a bigger window or ventilation.
Will definitely be back here again. Site is not too far from beach or park. Found the Betton Farm park 2 miles on the left, has lots to do for kids, free play park, and small animals and honey bees, and a ceramic paint shop - and the cafe - well the food was fantastic and generous portions

Spent 4 nights here from 24 june. Cost only £58 which we thought was very good. Level good size pitches with water on tap and waste water drain. Quiet at this time but pub opened on Mon and Thurs nights. Nice pint at £2 80 but small bottle of wine was bit dear. Never tried food but looked and smelled good. Toilets ok, showers use tokens(3 for £1)and last for 8 mins. Two kids playgrounds. One is small but near pub. Did not see a games room and when pub is closed only outside play area for kids. Nearest bus stop is a steady downhill walk but coming back is hard going, but handy for all places by vehicle. People working there were all nice and friendly. All in all a good site which we would recommend and we will return.

We would highly recommend this site. It is set in beautiful surroundings. And wonderfully peaceful. The site was kept clean and tidy. The toilet blocks were also very clean. The site was very child friendly and the children's playground was great. The food was lovely and really well priced. There is a dog walk in the woods which was also kept clean. The squirrels and rabbits were a bonus. We loved this site. We are so going too become regular visitors

We stopped here for 2 nights
Tidy site with good showers which was operated using tokens
Washing Up Area
There was a family bathroom with a bath.
There was a club house which we didn't use other than changing some coins for a lady with a young child who was about to use the bathroom area
I would use this camp site again. The staff were friendly.
The swipe card for the entry system was a refundable deposit
Nice play area
This felt a safe site with decent facilities

Camp security good, pay £5 deposit for a gate/toilet block security card returnable on departure. Plenty of equipment at play park, which is situated outside the toilet / shower block.
This is the only toilet / shower block on site but was never full. Showers work by token, 3 tokens for £1. Each token lasts 8 minutes, the time started as soon as you put the token in so don't hang about! family bathroom was ok but floor was very wet and slippery when we used it! 50p's needed for meter for hot water for bath.
Food very good at pub on site, live entertainment at pub once a week we didn't go to see him but was able to hear him from our pitch a good distance away quite late into the night!
Would happily go back to site but would not want the pitch we had this time, it rained once, quite heavily but we found the rain flowed directly down the roadway into our pitch helped by the speed bump situated on the corner of the road!
We had water covering half of our awning, at one point, this didn't stop us having a really good time,
Scarborough and surrounding area has lots of things to see and do. Hope to go back another year!

Just returned from our trip felt a bit disappointed with the site,
the toilets were not always clean and some of the taps in the toilet cubicles were not working.
The play park was very good. We were on pitch 2 and our son daughter in law and family were on pitch 1, when it rained their awning flooded (there was water on both pitches when we arrived).
Location for Scarborough is very good and not too far from bridlington and other attractions.
The barrier is locked at 11pm we arrived back and 3 mins past and had to park our car near the reception which was a bit worrying.
The food in the pub is excellent and well worth the money staff were polite and helpful

We have just returned from this site from a two night break. We are new to camping so trying to narrow down the 1000's campsites is a bit of a mine field.
I settled on this one as it seemed to cover everything we needed, and wasn't far from Scarborough which I know well.
Found the place easy enough, and got straight in with a warm welcome. £5. 00 got me a security card which allowed car access in and out, and this was refunded at the end of the stay. Good for security.
Lovely pleasant site, very clean, nice little grassed area for our tent which was a flat pitch too. However I did feel this site was more geared towards caravans and motor homes.
The tent field was well away from the toilet/shower block which made life difficult for nipping to the loo and getting washed etc on a morning, especially with two young children. The showers work on a token basis (40p for a 8 min shower) which did all three of us fine, and they were well maintained.
The play area was fine and was right next to the amenities block, so due to the distance from my tent I was a bit wary of letting the kids go on their own.
The site pub was nice and served lovely food but only on an evening (from 6pm or 7pm on a Sunday) which is quite late for my two kids and as the shop choice was very (very) basic we had no choice of getting any breakfast or lunch on site without taking a load of food ourselves or going off site in search of food!
As we are new to camping and only go for one or two nights we find it easier to eat out rather than buying and taking bbq's and cool box's etc!
Overall we have really enjoyed our stay, ideal for visiting Scarborough, Def recommend the use of the park and ride. Sea front parking is a nightmare!
Paid £20 per night during the school holidays which I found ok, so next time we fancy a weekend at the seaside I would use this site again.

We have just returned from a 6 night stay at Jacobs Mount. We found the site spacious, well maintained, friendly and quite.
The amenities are clean and well kept, but there is a charge for the showers (says free in the description). We had a pitch with water/waste and electrics to hook up to, which was excellent and great not to have to fetch water or dispose of waste.
The on-site pub is good with entertainment and bingo. They also provide meals that are reasonably priced.
All in all, I would recommend this site and we will be returning later on in the year.
