We have just spent our first two nights under canvas in year's and what a pleasant little site we were lucky to find. Although the toilet block and shower's are old they were more than adequate.
Adrian the owner is very relaxed about collecting fees, he just ambles along when you have set up and at £12 with electric hook up or £10 without per night they are good value. Pitches are large and there are a good mixture of grass and hardstanding available.
Alongside the shower and toilets is a little room which contains books and puzzles and also available are a fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Cuckoos Nest is a great spot for touring with Hereford and Leominster just down the road, other places such as Haye on Wye and Worcester are easy to get to as well.
The nearest eatery is a village chip shop 'have to say wasn't really impressed with their award winning fish and chips, the batter was a little to well cooked'. There are pubs within driving distance and if you are desperate a little chef is on route to Leominster.
The only real fault as other's have commented is the A49 which runs along the field in front of the campsite, however you do get used to it and when only paying £10 a night as we were, you can always bring ear plugs.
We will definitely be visiting again.

We spent 5 nights on this lovely little site. The amenities although a bit dated were very clean and adequate. The pitch was a grass one but flat and well drained and although close to the busy A49 road did not disturb us.
The owner was very friendly and helpful and on hand if needed. The free range chickens were fun and added to the delight of the site
We would not hesitate in recommending the site to anybody and will definitely return at some time.

The site is in a good position for the bus into Hereford and a good selection of local walks from the site -
Our pitch was a good size but being winter it was very wet and muddy -
I am trying to be positive but I have to say that the facilities were in an ancient static caravan and were very dated and for and all year round site, absolutely freezing. I think that they are in need of updating, very disappointing,
No pub nearby but apparently a good fish and chip shop, which we didn't try.

A site well worth going to. Spent 3 lovely days there. When we arrived we set up and pitched the awning, about an hour later our host came to make sure everything was OK and to let us know about the amenities on the site. Also informed us about what’s going on in the area.
There is not many loos or showers, Quite basic. No kids. Miles and miles to walk with the dogs, beautiful countryside.
The chip shop is quite close – nice fish and chips. The village inn had a friendly atmosphere, the ale was friendly enough too. The post office was just yards down the road.
Hereford about 3 miles away and the cider museum
Probably go back again

Really enjoyed our stay here. It's a central point to main cities and towns and plenty to see and visit near by. The site is clean and tidy, although dated, but everything works and the showers are lovely and hot!I didn't need to queue for them ever.
The 'little library' area is great with scrabble, monopoly and lots of books to borrow. There is a handy fridge to use if you are a camper and a microw wave. The owners are friendly and let you settle in before coming to see you and make sure you are ok and have everything you need.
Its a really pleasant site with chickens that roam free and come and say hello and rabbits gallor at dusk! One thing I will say is that if you are VERY sensitive to traffic noise then may not be best to come here but I'm a light sleeper and after the first night it didn't bother me at all.
Complete value for money!
Make sure you visit the Weir Garden, its beautiful, The Swan Inn - top notch food! and Hampton Courtd for a great adventure in the gardens!
Will definitely come here again. Thank you to the owners for a great holiday.

Visited this site last week, easy to find & pitch number shown on post into campsite. Intimate site with good size pitches. Toilets & showers are very old fashioned but work well & very clean. There is also washing machine & dryer facilities as well as fridge freezer & microwave. Chickens & rabbits running around which was quite nice although one chicken tried to gatecrash our tent!
Tried the fish & Chip shop on the Saturday night pre- ordered the food over the telephone & just popped over to pick it up, good service & reasonable fish n chips although I wouldn't say award winning. Would definitely use this site again especially as they don't ask for a deposit. £10.00 per night for non electric pitch, can not go wrong & no screaming children to wake you up in the morning.!

We book sites throughout the UK where we can access towns and cities easily and conveniently by public transport. Cuckoo's Corner fitted the bill perfectly.
There is a good mixture of tents, caravans and motorhomes on site. The owner was very relaxed when we booked saying that he would come round during the weekend to collect our fees.
The facilities supplied are basic but clean and although fairly busy we never saw anybody queuing.
The site has a slight farmyard feel to it with a pen holding ponies and donkeys alongside the tamest chickens I have ever seen! One hopped onto our motorhome step and with the slightest encouragement would have joined us on the sofa!
At only £12 per night for such an ideal location along with HUGE hardstandings + electricity we shall be using again.

The only real description I can use is 'OK'.
Nothing special.
Very close to a very very busy road (think its the A49) which continues to be reasonably busy throughout the night. Neither of us are light sleepers but got no sleep for the first couple of nights. After that, I'm not sure if we got used to it or it was just less busy.
No real good dog walking area. Just a large ploughed field to let the dog off first thing in the morning, but lots of other dogs on the camping field, and definitely not all friendly, so our over friendly spaniel had to be tied up the whole time to prevent him being 'eaten'.
Showers and toilets disappointing. Very old facilities in portable cabins. They were always clean and had supplies of handwash and toilet paper, but the showers and toilets really need replacing.
The plus side was that the lack of children on site (as its adults only) meant that come 9pm the campsite was very quiet. Apart from road noise and the dog barking (once one starts they all start).
We wouldn't return due to road noise and poor washroom facilities.
But. It was only £10 per night. Guess you get what you pay for.

Stayed here twice, the 2nd time during the Hay literary festival and the site was full, requiring the occasional wait to use the toilet/showers. I was booked onto one of the hardstanding pitches + EHU (£12); there are also grass pitches without EHU.
The owner was friendly and didn't rush to get the fees; he kindly sorted out a longer cable to help me out with EHU. The chickens were friendly too. Just mind the droppings!
Free wi-fi was a bonus.
The main toilet/shower block and washing-up area were basic and a bit run-down but did the job. There was also a washing machine and clothes line.
Hereford is about a 5 minutes drive away, while Hay-on-Wye is about 20 minutes in the other direction with a good farm shop and the Weir NT gardens along the way.
There is a good fish & chip shop 5 minutes walk away in the village the other side of the main road.

We have just arrived home after spending five days on this site we would like to compliment the owners who keep the site very tidy.
The pitches are so long you can park vehicle and caravan in line and our`s being a large twin axle on level hard standing and room for awning and chairs to sit on grassed area.
As this is an Adult only site it is quite peaceful no kids.
On entering the site there is a notice board with your name and pitch no. on it, so you can park up and in a while some one will come to greet you. If the weather is bad there is a room adjacent to the toilets were they have book`s and DvDs to borrow to take back to your van.
We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning
