What a great small site, extremely well maintained with immaculate facilities. The toilets and shower suites are to a very high standard putting many larger sites to shame.
Owners are very friendly giving a warm welcome & available to help if needed at any time.
Local shop very well stocked & not overpriced.
Located close to Hereford & a fairly short run to Leominster. If going to Leominster visit Queenswood wood on the way beautiful walks with arbouritoum & amazingly free parking.
Will we go again? You bet we will so please don't overbook.

I'm afraid I don't share the general view of this site. The pitches are fine, with hard-standings, and there is water, electricity and a TV point at each one. The two showers are very nice, but too few in number at busy times. The Wi-Fi was virtually non-existent during our visit, even in the reception office. Above all, we found the road noise unbearable from very early in the morning and throughout the day.

Just returned from a five day stay at this site, our third visit in two years. Excellent value for money with free Wi-Fi, EHU and TV points. The facilities have improved each visit and the new shower block is excellent. Adrian, the owner, has always been friendly and helpful. Location excellent for Hereford etc with bus stops at the site entrance We shall certainly be going again.

We found Cuckoo's corner a well set out site and very handy for exploring Hereford, although there is a new toilet shower block there but only two showers and in the mornings people were waiting outside to use the facilities. Very quiet site some road noise but it didn't bother us. There is not very much lights on site when it gets dark so just as well we had a torch as we needed to take our dog out. The price to stay here is very good £90 for a week, all in all we found it very good and would stay there again.

We have literally just returned from six days on this (adults only) site and having read the previous review thought I had to comment.
We found the site to be well placed for visiting Hereford and the surrounding area with good sized hard standing pitches all with their own EHU, TV socket, and water supply. The site is close to the A49 and as reported in previous reviews there is some traffic noise but the level did not affect us one bit.
The site is very busy and all the pitches appear to be full most of the time and having spoken to a number of visitors quite a number are repeat visitors, which says a lot!
The new amenity block is very nice with two private shower/toilets/WHB which we found were kept very clean with level concrete footpath approaches as it is to the waste water and grey waste areas.
There is also a small information Kiosk attached to the new amenity block which is packed with information on local places to visit plus books, DVD's and CD's to borrow.
The price of £14 per night or £90 for the week includes for everything: excellent wi-fi, awnings, dog, electricity etc and the only item you are required to pay for is the Washing machine (if you need to us it).
Didn't use the local pubs/shops but did have two excellent meals in Weatherspoons in Hereford (The Kings Fee).
All in all an excellent site at a very reasonable cost.

The positive thing about Cuckoos Corner is that it is in a good location to use as a base for visiting many places of interest, however, we found several areas of concern i. E. The TV aerial socket on our pitch was not working nor was the one on the next pitch so we had no TV for our 9 day stay, the shower rooms of which there were two were new but not exactly luxurious as many days the water was only just warm or on many occasions stone cold! They were not always cleaned on a regular basis either with the floors being muddy although the weather was not too inclement. The showers had no suitable non slip floor coverings so were extremely dangerous when wet, as I have mobility issues grab rails would have also helped purely from a Health and Safety perspective. After dark there were no lights anywhere on the site other than in the toilets and reception making it impossible to walk dogs in the evening other than just outside the caravan door. The road traffic was constant even during the night heavy lorries thundered past making it difficult to sleep on occasion. There are a few dog walks in the surrounding areas which were substantial. Each pitch had its own water pipe and waste water disposal was reasonably nearby to our pitch. The local fish and chip shop was good value and good quality, as were nearby pubs that served food and some were dog friendly. We will not be returning.

Cuckoos Corner is well placed for being able to get out and about to many areas of tourism, but is far from being as good as it looks! Being adults only it is peaceful enough despite the road noise if you are on pitches 6 - 20!
The hardstanding pitches are a good size and have pea shingle for awnings, all pitches have fresh water and aerial socket but both the socket on our pitch and the neigbouring pitch did not work (fortunately our tv picked up a signal!) The free broadband is hit and miss, depending on how many others are using it at the same time and is therefore fairly slow!
The shower block is new but showed distinct lack of cleaning (glass filthy, and hair trap so full it wasn't draining), floors slippery although a mop is provided for use on the floor this does not mop up the excess water and the floors are left dirty and slippery, no mops/cloths to clean the shower trays, hot water was hit and miss and if the shower next door was also in use at the same time then the pressure was so significantly low that it was impossible to rinse soap off properly and had to wait for the other shower to stop! No grab rails for disabled users and had more than one near miss of slipping in the shower due to the nature of the cubicle as no non slip flooring in the shower at all.
Dog walk is through a farmers field on a public footpath which is great but as a conscientious dog owner found that others deem that as it is a public footpath there is no need to pick up their dog mess and you have to walk looking at the floor to prevent you walking in left behind messes, which spoils the walk. Site is dog friendly but they must be kept on a lead at all times when on site.
No lighting on site after dark so if you prefer to use the toilet block then make sure you carry a torch to light your way!
We will not be returning here.

We used this site as a one week 'journey break' on our way home from Cornwall - it's almost exactly halfway between Mevagissey and home. As others have said, a warm welcome from the owner, generously sized pitches, and well manicured grass all give an excellent first impression. Do make sure you take cash to pay your fees, as the owner has no facilities for cards of any nature. We had our own fresh water tap & TV point (you do need a good long, 7 or 8 metres fly lead!) on our pitch and there was excellent quality (free) broadband too. The new loos/showers are absolutely superb, and I believe that two other older cubicles are being upgraded to a similar standard this year, which should help any capacity problems. A little bit of traffic noise, mainly it would seem, from mad motorcyclists at night, but certainly not enough to disturb you. Hereford is NOT an easy place to get in and out of - we encountered quite long traffic queues at most times of the day and restricted our visits - to Asda for supplies! It's a nice central point to visit Hay (and Ross!) on Wye, both of which are well worth seeing. Only a few miles up the road are Queenswood Country Park & Arboretum and Bodenham Lakes - which are both free to enter and offer some splendid countryside walks. Definitely a site I would have no hesitation in visiting again.

We liked this little adult only site, the showers are new and excellent, with water and electricity on every pitch, and with free Wi-Fi that covers the whole site.
There is a grocery shop and a very good fish and chip shop in the village about a 10 minutes walk.
There is a good dog walk, just a shame that the farmer has seen fit to plough over the footpath making it impassable.
There are lots of places to visit in area, but the traffic in Hereford was a bit sticky.
I'd like to think I will visit again one day, and hope for better weather.
All this and only £14. 00 per night
