What a wonderful site, stunning views, well drained, very good toilets etc. We stayed at this site over the 2006/7 new years with the UKCampsite.co.uk Members Meet. The weather was extreme, but the site dealt well with the massive downpours. We had use of a metal framed barn complex for the new year it self and that was a god send. The village of sixpenny handley is a very pretty one and there was a very friendly pub that served good food reasonably priced less than a 5 min walk from the site. There was also a well stocked local spar type shop a min further on from the pub. All in all a very nice little site and we would have no problems returning, but in better weather.

Stayed at this site during horrendous weather at New Year, the very well drained site was flooded out after the amount of water that came down. The toilets were spot less and warm there was brilliant facilities for clothes washing and drying. The site owners were wonderful what a brilliant couple who went out of their way to help and even let us party for new year in their barn, and pull the caravans off the land with their tractor. We were supposed to be tenting but that wasnt to be. The static caravan we were very lucky to get was brilliant warm and very clean, again the owners couldnt do enough to ensure we were settled in and comfy. I will be back there like a shot to take my tent and take in the stunning views of open countryside, there is also a kiddies play area in the centre of this massive site. What a great camping spot and very resonably priced.

A very nice site ideally situated for Ringwood Forest, Cranborne and the beautiful North Dorset countryside. Owners very helpful even though we arrived after 9 pm due to awful traffic. Stayed in the donkey field, which owners apologised for, as not fully fitted yet, but was ideal anyway. Facilities were very clean and not too crowded. Breakfasts are served on weekends and are very good. Excellently located for a short walk into town, limited but adequate shops, highly recommend the butchers W S Clark and the pub was good too. Playground on site which was gratefully used by many.

Lovely open site, on a hill (so there often a nice breeze!). The Saxon church on the edge gives it a village green atmosphere, and the kids playing on the playground in the middle adds to the pleasant vibe. Owners were helpful & amenable. One shower each for men & women didn't present much of a problem, unless you have a timetable, - and they were large and FREE - great! All the buildings are modern, clean and rustic. Village shops & pub were great, although advise to book early for the pub, as many found all tables pre-booked.

Nice quiet site, very well spaced out with small childrens playground onsite and a bigger one offsite behind the church, very friendly. They do cooked breakfasts weekends and bank holidays which is a nice touch. Within comfortable walking distance of the village which has a good mix of shops (Butcher, newsagent/grocers, Post Office/grocers, hardware/garden shop and a pub) which are well stocked and enough to stop you driving the 13 odd miles to the nearest supermarket (bliss!). Hookups and water supply were trouble free, the showers are free and there is a disabled shower as well, both in the new block, there are also more showers and toilets in the old shower block/laundry. There are numerous footpaths, bridleways and byways nearby which link up easily to make some great walks/rides.

Church Farm is located in the small village of Sixpenny Handley. You go up a winding gravel driveway to access the site, coming across rather oddly an industrial estate and Upholstery business on your left and a new build road of houses on your right, which all seem to be located within the campsite! Once past this, reception etc is signposted on your right, and you follow the path down around the corner to the owners bungalow, there are alot of cats around!
We were able to have our choice of pitches, as there were only about 8 or 9 units there during our visit, the bigger field we decided to pitch in felt very empty, with just 2 other units (nice if you like to be alone!) The main field is dominated by an old church, which chimes on the hour, and the site has stunning views to the surrounding Cranbourne Chase.
The toilets are fine, and kept clean, the only problem is that I could only see one shower in the Ladies block, and my Husband only saw one in the Mens, so if the site gets busy it will be a long wait for the shower!
The site is bordered by a what appears to be a Public Footpath, and we witnessed many non-campers using the camping field as a short cut, with their dogs off their leads, and also local boys bombing around the site on their motorbikes, sadly I had a shock to find some of them sheltering in the toilets also. We left after one night as this made us feel uncomfortable. Overall a nice site, but a shame about the issues mentioned.
