Lovely site, toilet block very clean and heated, lots of hot water. Site was very well maintained, children's play area, spacious grounds. I did not use the cafe but it looked great and serves cream teas. The village is so handy, I walked to the paper shop each morning and picked up any bits I needed. There is also a little cafe/post office in the village and everyone is so friendly. I will be going back next year.

Great campsite.
Toilet/shower blocks very clean. Best I have seen on a campsite. Pitch large and flat. Very quiet site. Grass well maintained. Washing up facilities good - plenty of hot water.
Good location not a long drive to New Forest - went to Go Ape and the kids (and dad) loved it!
Fish and Chips on site on the Friday night were great as was the cooked breakfast we had as a treat after putting the tent down on Saturday morning.
Would highly recommend and hope to visit next year.

On of the friendliest campsites that we have ever used. From the minute we arrived to when we left, the owner and his staff were as pleasant and welcoming as anybody could want.
The pitches are large and not overcrowded and the whole site was so peaceful.
Good location on the Wilts/Dorset border so close to Salisbury, Blandford Forum and Shaftsbury (for that Hovis feeling!) with plenty of other options in-between.
The Village is a short stroll away and has a number of lovely shops including one of those everything but the kitchen sink type village stores.
The campsite has a new “Shed” which houses a large café offering a variety of food, with the friendly smile of the owner behind the counter. We had fish and chips on the Friday evening and their great breakfasts on Sunday Morning. The shed also houses a new toilet block, which is large and airy.
Was recommended the Inn on the Chase (rather than the pub in the village!) for Saturday night and was not disappointed. It has just had a major refurbishment and we found the staff friendly and the food was excellent.
Only minor disappointment was that the playground was a little bit outdated and not really suitable for small children, but plenty of open space so that we could play with frisbee's etc. However all in all a great campsite, which we hope to return to.

WHAT A GEM! Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of daily life but an absolutely fantastic touring base to explore the rich and varied attractions in the surrounding area. The reception and facilities block are all brand new and are really great,on arrival we were greeted by the friendly and very helpful owners.
The pitch was level on grass and overlooked the childs play area though you are far enough away to allow the younger ones a feeling of independence(only word of caution the site is crossed by overhead electricity cables so would not recommend flying a kite !).
The facilities block had just opened when we visited as had the on site cafe etc (good breakfast and good value). The toilets/ showers are absolutely spotless (as you would expect with being new)and should the owners choose to read their reviews a couple of gripes from the ladies in our group regarding the showers add an extra hook per cubicle and somewhere to put your soap etc in the actual shower.
Went to Monkey World about an hours drive away only to leave disappointed was very very busy and felt on the point of being overcrowded, lesson to be learned is choose your timing me thinks.
Several good gastro pubs in area ate at a couple and food was excellent.
Nearest big Supermarket is Sainsburys in Salisbury approx 20 minutes away though you can buy just about everything you would want in the village and it reasonably priced too.
At just over £ 20 a night for our party this site is excellent value and yes we will be going back in the future

We stayed for a few days and were very impressed with this site.
The toilet blocks were excellent - they were kept spotlessly clean, despte heavy rain, and were cleaned several times a day. Steps and a baby bath were provided for young children, all making our life much easier.
There was always hot water and the washing up area was great. We particularly liked the book borrowing area - a lovely touch.
The cafe looked nice - it's only open at weekends as the Post Office serves breakfasts (slow!) in the week.
The pitches were very large and there was lots of space for the kids to play. The play area was limited - it would be nice for some equipment for younger children.
The children particularly enjoyed counting the bell chimes to find out what the time was, but you had to listen carefully as they weren't loud.
Overall, a lovely site that was obviously cared for. We will return!

Situated on a hill but the site is flat. Mist rolls in quickly! Lovely views. Well kept grass and hedges dividing the fields. Very clean at the beginning of the season. Really friendly owner. Proper office and booking system - very structured. Loos and showers super clean and accessed by a keypad. 'The shed' (a big corrugated barn in the middle of the site) provides campers breakfasts and afternoon meals available but it does give the impression of being more 'managed' (an observation not a criticism). Two sinks for washing up - in a small room - clean but had to queue even on a wet weekend. Small climbing frame and two swings in the centre of the field. Busy and noisy if you are pitched opposite. Lots of families with young children. Caravans tended to locate away from tents. Pretty quiet at night - nothing rowdy (apart from the church clock bells which rang all night). Village nearby - shop selling all your basic requirements and good opening hours. Good walks from the site.

Stayed here over night with 3 other families with tents. Had great time very quiet no road noise. Stayed on family field. Toilets were best ever seen in campsite. Had large family wet room and also lots showers and separate area in shower to sit and take cloths off without everything getting wet. Breakfast looked good, seemed good price. Looking forward to the bistro opening up later in year.

Stayed for a weekend as part of a UKCS meet and this is a good site on a lovely area. We had a lovely spacious pitch. The site is nice and quiet, clean toilets/showers. I cant comment on the new block as wasn't given the code to get in (coded door entry) as we were asked to use the older block as on the meet. The village is lovely and would definitely stay here again of in the area.

I have just come back from this site and was very very impressed.
They have obviously put a lot of thought into what campers want and need. Separate areas for those without children, and for those that have like me, there were extra special touches that make it so much easier. The wash rooms each had a toddler stool so little ones could reach the sinks, and in the family bathroom, they even had a baby bath, so my little one who doesn't like these big showers could get clean as well.
The kids play facilities were my only real concern, as the swings and climbing frame are very tempting for the younger ones, but not suitable for under 5's. My elder daughter thought they were great though.
I would definitely go back, especially at weekends for the lovely breakfast for sale in 'the shed'.
Another thing to know is that I had no mobile signal the whole time I was there, not just on the campsite, but for miles around, so it's a real get away.

We stayed here for what was hoped to be a few days in sunny June.
The site was lovely and the facilities were better than first class!Very clean, spacious free showers and toilets.
Only downside was the pitch was slightly unlevel and we were only given the option of staying in the large family field close to the playground, even though there was a lot of space elsewhere. With no children, this was a little noisy and did put us off, from what was, an excellent site.
Unfortunately, had to leave early due to ill health.
