Fantastic Little Camp site next to a fishing lake, Karen & Pete are very congenial hosts.
The site offers painting activities, meal nights, both of which I recommend.
Crazy golf, and a small paddling pool. Its very quiet perfect for a stop over & walks with the dog or fishing. We stayed longer and loved it great for visiting the Loire, Disneyland or just enjoying the local rural quiet.
Ideal for people like us in their forties no kids who want quiet peaceful rural setting. Supermarket 5 mins away with nice little resturants nearby.
We are staying in the Gite in the autumn and taking the van for a few days again this summer.

Spent 3 nights on this lovely site in mid March. Had a warm welcome from the owner.
The weather was wet and windy but that didn't spoil the fishing which was excellent. No luck with sweetcorn but worms great.
We were on a gravel hardstanding close to the lake due to the amount of rain that had fallen over the past month.
The toilets and showers (two of each) were very clean and the showers were supplied with loads of hot water.
There is a handy Intermarche close to the site about a kilometre away.
Would definitely revisit this site in future in warmer weather to explore the area.

After visiting Forest View, for two months last year. We felt the impulse, to post a review of this site. The owners Karen and Peter, made us very welcome. The site was spotless and well tendered. The scenery was idylic and tranquil, and as for the fishing it was good sport, with the brief interupution of the numerous wildlife.
The surrounding area and countryside also provided many miles of beautiful walks and scenery. We would without hesitation recommend this site to any touring visitors, knowing once they have been to the venue. Would do as we have and book for the next year. Paul and Barbara

Just spent the most enjoyable 3 nights here, Forest View. Karen and Pete are exceptional hosts, only to happy to help, extremely friendly and site itself is in top condition, poor pete spends hours on the mower!. A peaceful and relaxing site situated by a large lake surrounded by wooded and open farm land. Clean and well managed toilets and showers, electric hook ups available, A small shop for the essentials, wine, beer the usual, 2 splash pools to cool off in, mini golf, and fishing gear hire, the locality is good with small to medium towns close enough to the site, and a good size supermarket just 3 miles down the road, paris is only about 2-3 hours by car from the site. We used it as an overnight stop on our way down to the atlantic coast however we cut it short and returned to Forest view for 3 nights instead of the 1 overnight and are so glad we did, it really finished off the holiday. Try Forest View, you wont be disappointed

A beautiful, peaceful, looked after site, we camped in the orchard for ten days, made to feel extremely welcome throughout our stay. From the photographs it looked quite small.not at all! We had the large gently sloping field to ourselves! There were electric hookups on the orchard field, and all around the lake. Most people without young children camped around the lake. We chose the orchard, as it is set lower than the lake and its fenced in. There isn't any noise or light pollution nightime, so you can see the stars, and have a friendly BBQ with the other campers, as we did. The toilet block (I think converted stables) was ALWAYS spotless, clean, and campers would mop the floor after using the shower etc. Clean towels, nice anti bac soap and toilet rolls. It had new sanitary fitments, no 'french' toilets. A tip for campers, hang a towel over one of the shower room doors, as one of them is a little warped with age, so there's a little bit of a gap, this is only when you are getting dressed, as the shower has a curtain. We spoke to Dave about it, generally chatting, and suggested a shower/door curtain drapped across, would solve the problem. Knowing Dave, he has done it now! But a towel will do. The dressing areas in each shower are big enough that you can have a stool, your children, their clothes and yours without getting cramped! The splash pool was great, theres a small play area and crazy golf opposite the farmhouse. You can dine at the farmhouse on a sunday and wednesday, home cooked meals ordered in advance. Dave printed off directions for us to get to the rail station. Paris was only 1 1/2 hours by rail. Beautiful chateaus and dont bring food. There is a fantastic supermarket, a 2 min drive from the site. Cheaper than the uk, stocks all foods and some camping gear too! I recommend the pizza van on the Friday night, parked in the supermarket car park. You wont be dissapointed, we will return.

This is a very welcoming lovely green and peaceful site with a great lake for fishing. (Large Carp) There are nice pitches by the lake or in the orchard. It is an easy day's drive from the channel ports. The area is very rural and unspoilt, free from traffic, not touristy but interesting. There is plenty to do locally, a nice town nearby with a good market and places to eat. You can also get to more well known attractions such as Paris and Versailles. The gite is very large and comfortable and ideal for out of season.

This is the perfect campsite if you like total peace and quiet, away from it all in the countryside. Lovely well kept pitches and clean toilets and showers. The fishing is excellent. This is real France with few tourists in the area but plenty of interesting places to visit. Paris, Versailles and Monet's Garden are good trips but the main reason for visiting is the lovely surroundings and that peace and quiet.

What a brilliant place! Everything we needed and more. The splash pool was a plus, and lots of space to run around in for our toddler. We even caught a fish! The whole camp was well organised and thoroughly clean. We enjoyed peace and the quiet of the countryside, and had access to a few good cycle routes too, even with the babies on the back! There are lots of small villages to visit and dine out in,and we managed a day trip to Paris too, only an hour and a half away by train. Great ! Our best camping trip!

On arriving to the site we were shocked! We expected a rural place, but the location was beautiful! We had the orchard to ourselves which was ideal for the toddlers. The shower/toilet blocks were newly painted and immaculate,e.g hand soaps and towels changed regularly. People mopped the floors after each visit due to respect.
The hosts, Pete and Karen and their adult children and extended family were a pleasure to converse with and made our stay perfect. I would recommend it to anyone;indeed, we were warned that we wouldn't want to go anywhere else after we'd stayed there, and it was true.
