A big thank you to the owners for our very first overseas camping holiday and we couldn't have wished for a nicer site. The pitch over looking the lake was fantastic.
The showers and toilet block were always clean.
I would gladly recommend this site to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque haven.
We'll be back

This lovely site should be kept a secret between the lucky ones who have found it. We arrived on a wet Sunday to find a fairly water logged pitch (chosen by us) After some efforts to get the caravans onto the chosen pitches, we decided to leave things as they were and go for a well earned meal in the restaurant(excellent food thank you Sarah) The following day, still damp the owner (Peter) offered us a choice of different locations around the site which may be somewhat less damp. Spots chosen, Peter promptly mounted his favourite toy (sorry Tractor) and moved us to the new location, getting a touch damp in the process. All was well for a few days until we heard the news that our granddaughter had been rushed to hospital in the UK. Explaining the situation to Peter and Sarah it was decided that we would return home without the caravan. Sarah arranged for our dog to attend the local vet, 10 minutes later job done. Peter offered to store our van if we could not get back to the site to continue our holiday, Thankfully granddaughter is on the mend and after traveling almost 1000 miles in 3 days granddad is also recovering. The site has all the facilities you could want clean and well maintained. The restaurant is excellent and the owners are without doubt the most caring customer conscious We have ever come across. If you want a lovely site in a lovely area of France with helpful caring owners you cannot go far wrong with Forest view. If you want swimming pools and discos and noise don, t bother. WE WILL RETURN

We stayed here for six nights at the beginning of our trip around France and were made so welcome by the owners Peter and Sara, that we returned for a further six nights at the end of our trip. We were treated like friends from day one and by the end we were friends, a lovely couple who deserve all the best of luck for the future, we will certainly be back. With regards to the site, not for people who want lots of activities but great for the fisherman and those who want a nice relaxing holiday. Pitches are a good size, some a little sloping but nothing to worry about. There is a super market 10 mins away. Sara does some lovely meals for those who do not want to cook all the time and Peter runs a good bar (hic)all in all really worth a visit. Roger and Angie

Just visited Forest View campsite and it is beautiful, relaxing, peaceful and has lovely surroundings.
The owners were incredibly welcoming and really helpful throughout our stay.
On our first and last night they invited us to dine with them and a few other campers, which was a really lovely touch. All sat round a table together, chatting and getting to know each other and sharing tips about camping and what to see and do in the area. The food Sarah cooked was amazing and she was more than happy to cater for vegetarians and rustled up some lovely dishes.
The toilet facilities were very clean and very new and had everything you would need. The actual campsite has various areas to camp depending on your requirements and a beautiful fishing lake. The walks around the local area were really stunning and there is a supermarket just a few minutes down the road.
During the evening you can either visit the main house and have a few drinks or sit and watch the amazing sunsets. There is a lovely terrace area which is a nice place to sit and relax and there is free wifi available if you need it.
All in all a perfect break with lovely hosts. Will definitely go back!

We just returned from Forest view we arrived by chance this weekend. The site is great, well located with a nice lake in the middle. Peter and Sarah are excellent hosts and were very helpful during our stay. Despite the season a little chilly in April the camp is very well equipped and sanitary hot shower. It is conveniently located up near the green cast to explore the region by bike

My husband and I and our 7 year old daughter spent 5 nights here in half term. I cannot praise the site and the owners enough. The site is incredibly beautiful in a rurall location. The facilities are very well maintained. Peter and Sarah are excellent hosts. Sarah's cooking is delicious. Nearby there is a cycle track that has been made on a disused railway that you can cycle about 60km without any traffic - excellent for cycling with children.
We shall definitely be returning

Visited in March, met by the owners who were very helpful and friendly. The pitches are very sloping so kept my unit on the hardstanding driveway area, do not believe I would have been able to get it level.
As it was out of season the main facilities were closed so unable to rate these though the building appeared to be new but unfinished.
Wifi is inaccessible from the pitches meaning you have to go up to the bar/terrace to connect which is not always convenient.
Due to the bar/restaurant not being open on our visit thought that the price charged was a bit steep for just a pitch and the use of the disabled toilet/shower.
A nice quiet site with a bit of road noise especially in the morning and evening.

Arrived after dark on a wet January night on our way back to Calais. Had not booked but had found this site on the internet. We received a warm welcome from the owners and was suitably sited on a hardstanding pitch for the night.
The owner even invited us for a meal, Thanks again.
Next morning we were greeted with a superb view of the lake and surrounding countryside.
We wish we could have stayed longer but are keeping this site on our list of sites to visit.
Facilities were closed for the winter so cannot give a rating, although the shower block did look impressive.
If you are looking for a stopover en-route to the sun I would recommend Forest View. (Sites are hard to find in this area at this time of the year).

This was our first time in France and wanted to check out what it was like before taking our touring caravan so stayed in the apartment it was very nice. The site is very pretty with the large lake, the toilet shower/block was new and very clean the pitches where nice with different areas to suit all tastes, quite rural but supermarket just down the road which stocked all you would need. Peter and Sarah the owners were very welcoming and friendly as were all the campers on the site, will be taking our caravan next year and plan to stay for longer could not fault it.

My husband and I and our two small pooches visited this site for only 2 nights on our way back to Calais at the end of our 2 week holiday in France. We received a very warm welcome from both the owners. We had pre-booked our stay via email with no problems at all. We also pre booked our evening meal the same way, with the owner checking our foodie likes and dislikes, and went on to produce a wonderful meal for all 15 people sat together in the dining room. Great atmosphere, and a great opportunity to meet people. The site is beautiful, and our pitch (number 1) has a great view of the lake.
Our pitch sloped a bit, so levellers are recommended. The hook up was nearby, so no need for any extension leads. The very new facility block had everything needed. Even though it is still a work in progress (heating and floor tiling in the toilet/shower block will just finish it off a treat). The 'free' WiFi connection in the lounge was brilliant (can't comment on any other area as we only used it in the lounge).
We aren't fisherfolk, but there were plenty of people taking advantage of the fishing on the lovely lake at the site. We didn't have any children with us, but there was a playground and plenty of space for kids to run around in. The owners were great hosts. They made sure that we didn't want for anything, and gave great advice on places to visit/eat in the local area. We look forward to returning to Forest View in the future. Thank you.
