This is a really lovely site - there is easy access to the beach, the shop is not too far away and there is a lovely pub also within staggering distance.

I can't comment on how good the tv reception is - basically we go away to get away from televisions, computers, telephones etc!

There is a gentle stream that runs down the site, the first part of the site if for caravans and motorhomes, although to be honest, when we take the campervan there I would rather be on the quieter tent field.

The pitches are well-spaced and maintained. The owners were lovely, helpful and available. This site is clean, tidy and in a wonderful setting. We will be back!

This is a lovely site! Beautifully maintained. Relaxed layout. Friendly approach by the owners. You could describe it as tranquil. Showers have a good layout and plenty of hot water, four hooks on the door, wow. Freezer available in wash up room.

Close to a really unspoilt shingle beach. Excellent shopping at Woodbridge, Aldburgh has an interesting main street. Walberston is a lovely village.

One word of warning, this site does not allow ground sheets in awnings. With our small classic 70's camper space and storage are at a premium and we use the awning to live and keep most things. We didn't notice the signs about ground sheets until the third night and we went home next day. Sorry Run Cottage

We booked this site before reading the review re: dog walk however we found it fine for the morning and evening constitutional, watch out if your mutt goes into the stream it's dirty and smells we discovered too late!

The owners are really helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We were unable to get a TV signal so they said if we went and got one and it was not suitable or we just didn't want it they would buy it can't say fairer than that can you. However we ended up with no TV for the whole time we were there - much to the other halfs upset as he missed all the footy news!

I'd advise anyone going to make sure their ariel is up to the job - the man next to us had the avtex one and it worked great. The site itself is lovely, very peaceful surroundings.

The facilities are excellent and even though it was very busy and there are only two showers (excluding the disabled one) I never had to wait.

The owners were always around if you needed them. The pub in the village is great and the landlord is obviously considers customer service to be his no. 1 priority. We enjoyed our stay at Run Cottage very much thank you (I've scored 9 as overall rating due to the TV issue sorry!)

Two of the Fishes Three plus pooch have just come back from an overnight stay in a tent at Run Cottage with our friends who were in their motorhome. One night isn't much but it was enough to know that we will definitely be going back!

We can thoroughly recommend the Ramsholt Arms pub at Ramsholt Dock, a ten minute drive away.

(Mr F was miffed to learn that we were leaving just as the site was filling with a group of ukulele enthusiasts who were descending on the site for the weekend!)

Really lovely site, with very clean facilities. The whole site is very nicely maintained. As a dog owner, there was not enough access to safe areas to walk the dog.

To their credit they have a specially maintained dog exercising area which is ideal for that morning stretching of legs but to get to anywhere meaningful you have to walk along unversed roads which traffic travelling at speed at times.

The owners of the site were great, very helpful. It was an extremely windy weekend when I went and areas of the site were particularly exposed. Would recommend to non dog owners, even though they have a dog walking area.

We have just returned from 16 nights at Run Cottage and had an absolutely brilliant time. The owners are really friendly, are there to greet you when you arrive and are always around checking the site without being overbearing like some caravan club sites! The toilet block is kept very clean.

There are no rules and regulations and they are very dog friendly having a wonderful dog walk! The pitches are really big - we have a British built Fifth Wheel and there was plenty of room for that and the Navarra. We stayed on one of the hardstanding pitches but the grass pitches are very hard and seem to drain really well.

The site is very level and kept to a very high standard. The pub is about 1/2 mile walk and sells real ale and 'pub grub' type food. We did some great walks from the site - it is worth buying the local map from the owners.

The village shop is well stocked. Orford (which is about 10 miles away) has a great smokery where we bought smoked chicken and smoked fish - lovely.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Run Cottage and as previously noted it is a beautifully maintained site with a lovely stream running along its edge and a wildlife pond. Absolute peace and tranquillity but this also meant no TV reception for us despite the owners loaning us an extra Arial and very little radio reception either. Although some people had no problem with this.

Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who sited everyone personally.

The drive down to the site from Wood Bridge was magical, each time we saw different wildlife including groups of deer and rare breed sheep.

The walk to Shingle Beach was lovely as was the lack of people when you got there, like having your own private beach. We too bought the local book of walks from the site owners and this was really good.

Another lovely sandy beach was at Bawdsey just 3 miles away at the mouth of the estuary, also a foot ferry there to Felixstowe and lots of sailing boats.

Very convenient for Sutton Hoo but the best trip was to Orford Ness, currently only open on Saturdays and accessible by Ferry. Great for military history but remember a picnic as the only facility is a WC.

Overall a really good site for a traditional seaside holiday.

We visited this site after collecting our first caravan from nearby. The owners were very helpful and more than happy to help us park our caravan !. Nothing was too much trouble.

The facilities ie Toilet Block & Washing Up area were spotless, and the whole site was immaculate and very well kept.

The dogs were more than welcome and had a lovely area to run about in.

As we were only staying one night for the purpose of collecting our caravan, we did not have time to go sight seeing but were informed of lots of places to visit nearby, there is a shop within 5 mins walking distance, and a good pub even nearer.

We would recommend this site and hope to visit in the future, even though 3 hrs from home !

Lovely site, very dog friendly, nice new toilet block Cushelle toilet roll and some lady things if you needed any. Seem to be very friendly owners who are always around, either walking dogs, emptying bins, assisting people to their pitch. Good value for money, 1/2 mile walk to the pub, Shepherd and Dog, nice clean pub, but a bit disappointed with the food. Shop in village has eveything you may desire. There was no defined time for toilet cleaning, but I must say they where pretty clean, I think the owners just popped in to check them at numerous times.

Great site, plenty dog walking nearby.

Everything you read about this site is true we stayed the weekend this drought ridden area had a month's rain in 3 days but still enjoyed it. Immaculate grounds and plenty to see in the local area. Try the Pier at Southwold Different! Food at the pub is very good value. Toilets were very clean but don't wallow in the shower, the lights are on a timer, I had no problem but my wife did!
