Just returned from my first every camping trip and we couldn't have picked a better site for our first camping experience, together with George the spaniel. Weather was fantastic, which helped. The grounds are kept lovely, with the pond and wildlife. Although the cockerel waking you up at 4.45am was a little anoying at first at it seems to set off the dawn chorus. The shower block was lovely and clean and always lots of hot water. Downside was that there was no hairdrying facilities in the shower block area, so dependant on electric hook up and we were in 'the garden', so no electric available. Apparently the owners have only just opened up 'the garden' and so it was just ourselves and one other tent in there. Lots of space for George to run around in. Lots of historic sites to visit within a 30 minute drive, some as close as 5 minutes down the road. Local shop was fairly well stocked but Woodbridge village had a lovely selection of shops for wine/beer, bread etc. We also found an excellent butchers / smokery within a 10 minute drive and bought the most fantastic sausages/meats for the bbq. Would highly recommend this site to campers who like a 'get away from it all' experience.

A little gem of a campsite. Warm welcome from owners. Only 20 pitches (electric hook-ups) but felt far more spacious, modern clean toilet block with hot showers (no washing up facility). Easy cycle to Woodbridge / Orford etc, nearby shingle beach, no end of walking in vicinity, Public Transport. Pub serving food within walking distance again a very warm welcome. Dog friendly site with dog walk within easy reach of all pitches. Excellent.

A group of two tourers and two tents with 7 adults and a child stayed 21/22 June 2008. We were sited beside the stream and near a small pond. The site was clean and well organised. The shower/toilet block is clean, has hot water and warm. The only critisism is there is not an engaged sign on any of the doors so I witnessed people stood waiting outside empty toilets! The owners were welcoming, friendly and gave advice based on our interests. This included hunting ground for barn / tawny owls and where to spot the local wildlife as well as general tourist information. The owners' dogs were friendly too. The local shop/post office catered for tourist needs and the pub is within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be going back. Beware though the dawn chorus was 4am with cuckoos from 5am immediately above us. No UFOs - they were in Wales that weekend!

Spent a week from 14th June at this site. We found he owner to be very friendly and welcoming. The site was very clean & tidy, there is a separate dog walk area. The toilets and free showers were pristine and always were kept so. An information room is available which has good information including walks nearby. The site information leaflet given on arrival had good info, including pubs etc. There is a pub 10 minutes walk away, which does meals from 6 to 9 every day except Monday, we dined there on Thursday, enjoyed it. The landlord & landlady were very friendly. A shop is 2 minutes further away from the pub. It opens every day until 8, and has an wide selection of goods for sale. There are other pubs within a short drive away. We will go there again if we go to Suffolk.

We stayed here for 2 nights and we will be returning. The site itself is small but perfectly formed, toilet and shower block were fantastic. The owner showed us to our pitch and it was beautiful, right next to the small lake which our puppy jumped straight in to, mainly to investigate the fake ducks bobbing around on it, thankfully the owner did not mind otherwise it would have been the shortest camping trip on record!
There are no washing up facillities and if you are in a tent then there are no hook ups available, but it does state this on the website so don't be surprised when you turn up.
Nice dog walking area, good pub close by with a well stocked small village shop just past it. Not much around for kids, (no bad thing) and it is more for adults.
No gimmicks, well presented site and I would be very proud to own it.

We stayed at this site for 2 nights, booking at the last minute. We were met by the owner and shown to a lovely pitch near the pond with lovely views. The showers and toilets were spotless, hot and free.
The pub is easily within walking distance, although there is no path for some of the way and no lighting, so take a torch.
The site is very tidy, quiet and the owners were maintaining the roads and the grass while we were there.
Nice dog walking area.
There is a very useful tourist information area. The only thing we could not find was a washing up sink( perhaps we did not look hard enough) not a hugh problem for us, but might be tricky for campers with tents.
Handy for visiting Woodbridge and Sutton Hoo, try Shingle Street too if you like remote shingley beaches which are unspoilt and no signs of any commercialism.
We would certainly recommend and look forward to returning.

Wonderful site. We stayed for 4 nights over Easter and had every kind of weather possible, including a blizzard! The facilities were always clean and warm despite the climate. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The local village (walking distance) had a shop which sold everything you might need. The dog walk area was very useful bearing in mind the weather. Only down side was TV reception which was very poor. We were offered a choice of hard standing or grass pitch on our arrival, we opted for the hard standing and the hard standing nails for our awning worked well. Certainly a site we will return to.

Stayed at Run Cottage for two nights last weekend. Great site, very quiet, very clean toilets and showers, very friendly owner - would highly recommend. Lovely area to tour around as well. The pub in the village, only 10 mins walk, was excellent - no need to drive further afield! Sutton Hoo well worth a visit too. Unfortunately ran out of time to explore everything, but will definitely visit again. Thanks!

Excellent site. Very picturesque, nice meadow with mature trees and a pond, next to a stream. Very welcoming and friendly owners and immaculate toilet/shower facilities.
This was our first time in Suffolk, we were attending a company Summer Ball in Ipswich.
Loved the area, especially Woodbridge and Southwold.
Would definitely return.
