What can I say other than to reinforce earlier comments. What a lovely little site. Caravan or Camping club members who are used to the higher standards on club sites will certainly not be disappointed. Well tended site, modern clean facilities, spacious pitches, huge dog walking area, friendly owners.

Thoroughly recommended for anyone wanting a quiet few days away.

This site was a delight to stay at. The shower and loo block was lovely and clean with the added bonus that the showers were free. The bin areas were carefully thought out with recycling bins and the lighting at night was in keeping with the surroundings. The grass was kept immaculate and the pond area was lovely. There was also a dog walking field with a bin for the poop! The caravans were well spaced out so didn't feel crowded at all.

I would say this is a site more for adults than families which suited us perfectly although the owners do say on their website that well mannered children are welcome! the site is well placed for sightseeing and although we didn't eat out we passed several eateries in the area. We were happy to chill out by our van and enjoy this fab site. Bazil our dog also engaged with the owners dogs who visited briefly each day just to make sure everything was ok! I am sure that there was a washing up area in the information room adjoining the shower block as the owner pointed out when we first got there.

Lovely setting - peaceful and tranquil. Pitches are generous and the grounds kept immaculate. Good dog walk on site and there are also plenty of good walks nearby. Shingle Street beach is good as it allows dogs all year.

Very nice shower block which is kept clean - although the only thing we didn't like was the showers being on a timer (10 seconds only!) and the temperature is pre set so you cant alter it. It was particularly hot when we were there and so we would have liked a cooler shower. Lights are also on a timer and always seemed to switch off when I was in the shower! This resulted in me waving my towel around furiously trying to trigger the sensor to switch the lights back on!

Jewel of a site and one that we would recommend for exploring the Heritage Coast or just sitting back relaxing and enjoying the peace and tranquillity.

Just returned home after spending 10 wonderful days at this site and felt that it would be unfair not to leave our comments.

We are long term Caravan Club members so we expect & demand certain standards and these were achieved and perhaps excelled in some ways.

We agree with all previous positive comments so there is no point in replicating these but would add the following:-

Washing up facilities are now available.

Best to use satellite for TV as aerial coverage seems poor.

Although the site was full for most of the period, the toilets & showers coped even though there are only 2 of each in both Ladies & Gents.

Superb cycling both Country lane & off road though a cycle carrier greatly increases your choice of route.

Local shop & Pub within walking distance although there is a large Superstore on the A12 near Woodbridge for most things.

Friendly & helpful owners.

Probably would not suit those with a young family when the weather isn't too good.

Best Beach that we could find is at Bawdsey where there is also a regular passenger & bicycle ferry to Felixstowe.

Overall we would award this site 10 out of 10 but remember that any site is only as good as its guests so please treat things as if they were your own.

What a wonderful site! If you are looking for peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings, this is the place for you.

The site is immaculately kept with an excellent shower block, fitted out to a very high standard.

The pitches are very generous, in fact, the owners could probably have fitted in twice the number of pitches, so well done to them for putting campers' comfort before a bigger income.

The dog walk in the field next door was good, with many super walks a short drive away.

I can't think of any negative comments to make, apart from the owner's dog coming into our awning and rifling through our bin while we were sitting in the caravan!

My son and I decided this year we wanted to spend xmas in our caravan, after looking for sites which are open all year I chose Run Cottage. On arrival Andy and Michele took us to our pitch and made sure that everything was ok, our tv did not work here and Michele lent us a tv and aerial for the week we were there.

The site was well looked after, shower block and toilets very clean and warm. A good walking area for dogs. Lots of places to visit round this area. Having 2 dogs with me there was lots of places to take them for a walk.

Local pub and shop I found very friendly and helpful. If you want somewhere to chill out and relax I recommend Run Cottage.

Would highly recommend this site to anyone who requires peace and quiet. The facilities are excellent, with pitches that are spacious and friendly owners who obviously take a pride in their site. We booked for 7 nights and stayed for 9 and that still wasn't long enough to do all we wanted to so we will return next year. The only slight downside was tv reception was not the best but the owners kindly loaned us an aerial and tv which did work when our state of the art digital was to put it frankly u.S.

Very clean and mostly quiet site. Toilet and shower facilities excellent, although if the grass has just been cut it's easy to traipse loads of cuttings into the shower! In spite of some heavy rain and wind one day, we didn't really suffer as the site is on sand and drains very well.

The pub and shop are okay. Pub food quite good. Would definitely recommend Shingle Street - wonderful peaceful place - and Bawdsey. The Boathose Cafe in Bawdsey is well worth a visit. Good quality fare and very good value. I got 4 cups out of my pot of tea for 1! Ramsholt is worth the trip if you like old churches.

This is a small family run site of the highest quality.

Around 20 pitches set in a small grassy area 6 are hard standing and all caravan pitches have EHU.

A small modern toilet and shower block serves both caravanner's and campers and is kept very clean, however there are no dishwashing or laundry facilities available.

The site has a large pond as its focal point and a number of tent pitches are set around this , there is a large dog walk and dogs are warmly welcomed by the friendly park owners.

The site is within walking distance of Hollesley village and there you can find the village shop and Post Office and The Shepard and dog pub which serves fine food and drink.

Woodbridge is the nearest town about 7 miles and is a very pleasant place a number of shops and pubs in the town along with a few tea shops make for a pleasant day out.

The area is a walkers paradise with a number of paths accessible from the site, slightly further afield is Rendlesham forest, scene of a well documented UFO encounter in 1980 and has numerous trails to follow cycle hire is also available.

This site is ideal for couples or families , caravans ,tents or motorhomes and makes a wonderful base for exploring the surrounding Suffolk countryside.

Arrived Sunday evening and was met by friendly owner who walked us on to site and showed us our pitch with the pond at the front and stream behind. Very quiet site, we never have electric hook up and knew that no washing up facilities from previous reviews. Showers and toilets very clean thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
