We spent a very enjoyable week here. The site is adult only, spacious and sheltered by tall trees with generous pitches,a few hard standings but mostly grass which is cut after each departure. An amenities block with two private rooms for ladies, one with toilet, basin & shower & the other with basin & toilet, oodles of hot water & the shower was 50p and the hot water seemed to last for ages, it never ran out on me. The gents (as my OH tells me) has two toilet cubicles, a shower & a basin. All kept very clean with ample soap & paper towels. There is also a portacabin with a washing up sink, washing machine, microwave & ironing board & iron. Plenty of local information, a small lending library, a freezer with ice cream & a selection of provisions, pasta, sauce, biscuits, shower gel, shampoo etc.,etc. All paid for using an honesty box. We were delighted to find a collection of freebie DVD's (from a newspaper), the TV reception was not good on our side of the site but we watched a selection of these films which whiled away a hour or so at the end of a day.
Pam & Billy were perfect hosts, friendly & chatty but not intrusive. They were there to help if needed, we had a fuse go in the van two nights running, Billy found us a spare on the first occasion and on the second time although we had bought some spares by then, he lent us some pliers to remove the old fuse which was melted into the socket. All this in the evenings and no complaints about our disturbing him.
The site is very well situated, around a mile or so from Cromer on the coast, half an hour or so from the Broads and within easy reach of several National Trust properties.
We really enjoyed the area & are keen to return to see more & also stay again at a great site.

Very warm welcome and helpful especially as we needed it being first time users of a motorhome. Site very clean and peaceful, plenty of room between pitches. Shower block very well kept, No shop but general items for sale in hut with honesty boxes. Pub opposite campsite (food excellent), bus stop at entrance to site very convenient. Will definitely return.

A warm friendly welcome from hosts Billy & Pam.
Toilets and showers immaculate.
Beautifully kept site level ground and plenty of space between caravans.
An ideal location to tour North Norfolk. Half an hour from the Broads, 5 minutes from Cromer and the beautiful North Norfolk Coast.
Get there in the fruit picking season and have strawberries and raspberries delivered to your door.

This site is highly recommended, the site is well kept with plenty of room between caravans. Toilets and showers are very clean, there was a cabin with a sink for washing pots, washing machine, freezer with ice cream in, basic provisions and information. This is a nice site for peace and quiet but plenty of places to explore if you want to get out and about. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We booked for seven days but we enjoyed it so much we stopped for ten. We will be returning again.

This is a small and well looked after campsite and one of the best that I have stayed at. The small but adequate toilet / shower block was spotless. It has a small shop for basics, washing facilities, information hut and large pitches. The location is great (close to beaches and towns as well as quiet country lanes for walking and cycling). The owners seem very helpful and friendly and have worked hard to set up this site, we will be back!

Got back from here a couple of days ago after a relaxing time, I back up all that the other people say, how Pam and Billy make you welcome at Poppylands It's well placed for touring the local area, including Cromer and the coast. The facilities are spot on. You certainly know you are in the country with the early morning cockerels calling each other! Will be back great place.

Stayed here for four nights and found it to be an excellent site. So much so we have booked again for August. Its a relatively small site and is well screened and very well maintained. Toilets and shower block is small but adequate and well looked after (clean!).
A 'homely' portacabin provides wash up facilities, freezer, washing machine (small charge) microwave and TV plus leaflets, brochures, walking guides etc pretty much everything you need in the way of local information. The overall experience was well benefited by Pam and Richard, the owners, who went out of their way to ensure our stay was as pleasant as can be. Well recommend.

This is the first time we have used this site and it definitely will not be the last! It is absolutely first class if you want a clean, friendly, well maintained, quiet adults only site.
The owners Pam and Billy are very welcoming and helpful. The site is sheltered, level and well drained. It is surrounded by shrubs and trees which makes it very cosy. The grass is neatly trimmed and whilst there are no panoramic views it is ideally situated to cycle, walk or drive to the many areas of interest close by.
The toilet / shower block is kept spotlessly clean. The shower is only 50P and you get about 15 minutes worth of hot water (my wife loved this as she has long hair and needed the time to wash it!) There is a small cabin that is also kept clean that serves as a meeting room / library / information centre/ shop. It stocks most bits n bobs that we tend to forget when packing. There are some lovely nostalgic framed prints there too and a washing machine, micro wave, freezer. Also there is an indoor sink / drainer and free hot water for washing up! The whole site is small and friendly . It is uncrowded with plenty of space between pitches. It is extremely dog friendly but owners must not leave there dogs unattended and must clean up after them.
Even the rubbish is segregated for re-cycling, general waste and newspapers are collected to aid the local church. This site has ample electric hook ups too. It has a very friendly ambience with much trust being shown by Billy and Pam in the honesty of their patrons.
Geographically we found it ideally situated to be far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the coast yet within minutes of it.
The Poppyline North Norfolk Railway which has a museum and renovated Steam / Diesel engines and lovely carriages and period stations is nearby. It is a cheap day out. It serves a practical purpose and is also a working piece of history that is a true testament to the love and hard work put into it by its past and present volunteer workers.
Historic Cromer (lovely Crab sarnies!) and Wells are close by, plus a wealth of other attractions. There is a great Farm shop nearby and an excellent Pub (the Suffield Arms)within walking distance. Excellent real ales and hand drawn Beers! Good grub too.
Without a doubt this is the best site we have visited too date.

A pleasant and very tidy campsite. Owners very helpful ,toilets immaculate, washing block superb. Nice flat pitches grounds maintained to a high standard. A good rail link good for days out save having to drive, a good pub by railway station only down side pub and station are a mile and a half from camp site.Otherwise a superb location. All pitches are able to have electric hook ups,the site is quiet and pleasant with a mix of wild birds to keep you entertained in the mornings.

Due to go to Cornwall on Saturday. However on the Friday night the weather forecast was not good at all. Decided to look for better weather elsewhere, settled on North East Norfolk, now to find a site. Using this web site and looking for adult only sites we came across Poppyland. Phoned and spoke to Billy, site owner with his wife Pam. Arrived on Sunday, stayed for 7 nights and had a great time.
The weather was not as bad as the South West for a start and the site was just perfect. It was quiet with plenty of space and we were well looked after by the site owners.
Loads to see and do on the North coast of Norfolk, but from here we could also go to the East coast and the Broads.
Billy went to a great deal of trouble to ensure that the site was always looking good and the toilets and other facilities were well maintained.
We will definitely be back to Poppyland as it felt like home for the week we were there. Nice touch with the honesty boxes in the cabin,(washing machine, freezer with ice creams, and other food stuffs you might forget).
