Just come back from a weekend at Poppyland. A delightful adult-only site. Small, friendly, clean and quiet. The new owners are doing a grand job! Everyone seemed to have plenty of space, as did we, and we were even asked if we wanted a paper in the morning. The site is well situated too and although nothing much to walk to, you are on the road to everything within minutes. We ate at the nearby Vernon's Arms on Friday night and although they were full, we were early and they squeezed us in - excellent food, surroundings, wine list, service. Thanks for the recommendation!
We've finally found a site we want to go back to!

One of the best campsites we have been on, the owners were very helpful, they took orders for the morning papers at weekend and even took orders for strawberrys when they went to a pick your own strawberry farm, they are ex caravanner's so they know what campers want. The facilities were spotless and although there is only one shower and two toilets for the ladies I never needed to wait and the site was full. There is a cabin with tourist info, basic provisions, freezer with ice creams, washing machine and all these are paid for by putting money in an honesty box. There is also free use of iron and microwave. The site peaceful but near enough to visit seaside towns, Cromer being the nearest. We cycled to Mundesley a few times which is a typical traditional unspoilt little resort. The site is level which makes it ideal for tents and campervans.

What a gem! We found the site through this website and booked for the following day. It was well situated for exploring the area. The owners are friendly and helpful and the site was perfect for a quiet getaway. The facilities were always clean and well maintained. The ladies have two lockable bathrooms, one with a 50p shower facility and the gents has one bathroom with two toilets and a 50p shower. The portacabin provided a warm dry place to wash up and also had games, books and tourist information as well as a washing machine and freezer. There is a pub across the quiet road from the site although we also visited another nearby pub on foot. We went cycling- following routes found on 'peaceful byways' website, hired a two person canoe on the broads for a few hours and visited many local coastal towns and villages. We especially liked wells-next-the-sea. We had a great time here and would love to return.

We stayed here for 2 weeks with our caravan, the electric hook ups are well spaced out so you are not on top of each other we really enjoyed it here. The owners Pam and Billy are very friendly and helpful and are there to make you welcome and help if needed
The site is well drained and the grass is always cut short. The toilets (2 x ladies and shower 2 x gents and shower) are always clean and well laid out. The portacabin which has the microwave, freezer and washer in also has a seating area where you can browse lots of tourist information and there is a section that has different foods for sale, that you may run out of and they are reasonably priced which is handy.
This is a lovely peaceful and relaxing site and we would definately use it again and would recommend it to fellow caravaners if you want to chill out. Only criticism is that you can have a problem getting a television reception (not always) but this is a general problem in north Norfolk wherever you stay.

Found this site as we were driving past from Cromer. We were the only unit on it. Level , clean, with numbered pitches around perimeter. No distant views as surrounded by woodland/garden hedges but well sheltered, peaceful at night. The small toilet block consisted of one lockable room for gents( toilet, sink, shower ), Ladies had 2 loos and one shower N.B. Privacy maintained by a curtain not lockable door. 50p needed for shower meter. The welcome was friendly from the owner and there was a pub/restaurant across the road.
