We've just returned from this delightful adult only caravan site after a lovely week's holiday. We and our dogs Meggie and Lucy were made extremely welcome by the owners Billy and Pam, who were on hand for anything we needed, but never 'in your face'. We found the other caravaners and campers very friendly, none of whom assumed you wanted to become their best friends. The site was immaculate, as were the toilets and showers and the information portakabin and shop was the best we have ever seen. The site is some way from a big supermarket but there are local shops and a splendid fish and chip shop just down the road at Roughley. We also used the camp shop and honesty box on several occasions. What a pleasure to have a peaceful week without children. Although the site is on a main road, there is no traffic noise - just some country noise like chickens and tractors, which never disturbed our peace. I had the best week's sleep I'd had for years. Well done Billy and Pam - hope you go from strength to strength.

We have just returned from a week at Poppylands and found it to be a charming and well kept little site, that was ideally situated for us to be able to explore this beautiful part of the country.
The site is situated in the pretty village of Thorpe Market and as soon as you enter the driveway it very quickly becomes apparent that this site is immaculately kept and oozes charm.
The amenities are kept spotlessly clean, with good sized pitches and there is even a well stocked shop that relies on an honesty box. There are freshly laid eggs available daily and Newspapers delivered free to your door.
The owners Billy and Pam are an integral part of the overall charm of this site. They really can't do enough for you.
We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and found plenty of coastal walks within a short distance of which details can be found on site.
Another must is a boat trip on the Broads from Horning. Although we would suggest you pre book during good weather. One of the highlights for my husband was a visit to Cromer Pier Theatre to watch Chas and Dave on their final tour!
We visited the Vernon Arms in Southrepps where we found the food to be excellent and reasonably priced.
In summary a charming, tranquil and well kept site in a beautiful part of the country.
We definitely intend to return to this site.

Arrived on site to find it quite waterlogged but owner kindly pitched the van onto the hardstanding for me with his 4x4. The site seemed to be very sheltered and the facilities about adequate for this small site but not heated. I had a paper delivered to the van each morning which was quite a nice touch and there was a small shop with a honesty box. There was a bus stop right outside the site but unfortunately the pub opposite was closed. We used the chipshop in the village nearby and had some of the nicest fish and chips ever, and across the road was a pub serving Asian food which seemed very busy. The site is only a short drive from Cromer and Sherringham and about half an hour from Norwich. It is excellent value for money and I will almost certainly go back

We have already left one review of this beautiful, immaculate site and have just returned for a second visit and it's got EVEN BETTER! Billy has been very busy and has installed ariel hoop-ups to each pitch - so no twisting the ariel. Checking where everyone else is pointed theirs and still getting no signal. Need I say more??? Just plug in and tune in! Billy you have saved our sanity!
We did not feel this site was at all 'clicky' as previous reviewer has said - Pam and Billy make everyone very welcome, but are not 'in your face' - - their friendliness rubs off on campers and everyone just talks to each other - it's a wonderful atmosphere. We certainly didn't know anyone before we arrived - but we do now!T his truthfully is the best site we have been to since beginning our caravanning 20 odd years ago!
So keep up the good work Pam and Billy - you aren't picky or clicky! Just really very good hosts and thank you for another lovely weekend!
Can't wait for Easter next year now!

Back again on our third visit this year!
As always, Pam and Billy are great hosts - very friendly and welcoming. Very peaceful with large pitches and sheltered by the trees around the perimeter of the site. There are plenty of sunny pitches on this site and you can even choose which way to site your caravan!
Good clean facilities and nice touches such as basic supplies (including ice-creams!) with an 'honesty box'. Two nice local pubs nearby serving excellent food (good value for money) which also allow dogs (lovely countryside walk to one of them - approximately 20 mins)
As with any excellent site, there are many customers who return time and again and there are always a few familiar faces when we arrive!
All in all, the best site by far we have visited - we will be booking for next year's hols before we leave!

We stayed here for the second time, we were here in September 2009 (Review left then.) We did not enjoy our stay as much this time, we too found, as another reviewer stated, that it was rather cliquey. There were some caravans that were obviously regular visitors and others staying for longer who broke their residency by going away for a few days & the returning to their caravan. This made us feel that we were intruding.
We also found that the overall cleanliness was not as good as previously.

Lovely neat site with a bit of a tight turn in off the road if travelling from the South.
Owner very particular and this reflects in the immaculately kept grounds with quite novel touches in the facility block (doggy loo seat!) - which are kept as you would expect - immaculate.
It's a bit of a cliquey site and everyone appeared to know everyone else which made some people comment that they felt a little uncomfortable. The walk to the pub is a bit rough and takes you through overgrown woods. The pub is a little expensive - the average meal is about £13 but the food looked good.
There are some lovely villages and places to visit in the area.
All in all if you can put up the clicky atmosphere and a picky owner you will have a lovely stay.

We stayed here for three nights, and what a lovely site. Very quiet (apart from the chickens, but that adds to the charm) and well maintained pitches, never any queues for showers or washing up. We also had a paper every morning.
The little cabin had loads of information of the surrounding area, and further afield. There was a very nice farm shop just down the road, where you can also get a great cream tea!
We didn't go on lots of walks in the area, but we did walk to the local pub (20 mins), which was fine.
All in all, a very clean and quiet site.

Just returned from a week at Poppyland, and may I say what a first class site ! The owners were polite, friendly and above all 'not in your face' The site is immaculately kept, generously sized pitches and seems to be run on a 'quality rather than quantity' number of pitches. Being an adults only site, it was quiet and relaxing, the way it should be. The 'shop' was stocked with a few of the essentials, with an 'honesty box'
All in all, a real gem of a site, a credit to Billy and Pam, long may it stay that way. The only downside,(which was our fault anyway for leaving it too late ) is that we couldn't get in for another stay because it was fully booked.
We will definitely book again

Nice helpful welcome and although the site was full there was the most peaceful atmosphere we have ever experienced. Pitches well spaced and attractive surrounding trees and shrubs. Good dog walks.
Toilets and showers adequate and clean - 50p gives more than enough time. Virtually all you would need in shop / info / laundry / washup / TV hut. Very little road noise and site is ideal for seaside and broads. Both Billy and Pam very much involved in running the site and keeping everyone happy without being too over the top.
All in all the best site we have yet visited and at a very reasonable cost. We will return again and again
