Fabulous site. Couldn't be better.
We arrived on spec. We drove up the road, found this site and managed by luck to get in. We had a fantastic pitch and the site owner put our caravan on the pitch for us, levelled and ready to use. That is what service is all about!
A lovely quiet site with a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, kids play area, shop, and everything you could need. Staff very friendly and more than helpful. No kids running amok at midnight.
Nearby there are plenty of lovely uncrowded beaches, St Austell and Mavegissey are just up the road with Charlestown, Fowey and Polperro only a short drive away. 3 minutes drive from the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Highly recommended.

Had 11 nights at Tregarton Park and although the weather wasn't brilliant, have to say the park was the best site we have stayed on.
Staff were very friendly & always had an hello for us. Site was very clean & tidy and the shower block was like a 5star hotel compared to other sites we have visited. Very clean modern toilets and the showers had hot water every time we used them. Very kid friendly as my 4 year old daughter had to be dragged out of the showers! We enjoyed every moment of our stay, peaceful & loved seeing the rabbits running wild every day.
You definitely need a car to travel around but that shouldn't put you off such a beautiful part of the country. Everything is in easy reach. Have nothing negative to say about this place. Give it 12/10.
Will definitely be returning.

Friendly site from the moment we booked our pitch back in February 2010 - recommended by friends. Directions provided by the site are perfect and easy to follow.
Beautifully looked after site - all facilities are spotless! Pitch was very large and access to water, waste and bins was close by. Recyling area and bins are emptied daily. The shop is well stocked and reasonably priced too. Pool was very clean and it is positioned to get lots of sunshine, its a great size and very safe.
Selected this site as it does not have entertainment and the pool / playing area is closed at a sensible time. Perfect site for people / families who want to explore a beautiful area of Cornwall.
Would return to this site and would highly recommend it to other families who need a site that has covered ALL aspects to provide a top quality relaxing camping holiday.

My family and I visited Tregarton for 2 weeks this summer. The site is wonderful, its the second time we have been there and would recommend it to anyone. Its the cleanest site I've ever been to with great facilities.
The showers are cleaned to a very high standard, plus there are great laundry facilities. If I had to complain about anything it would be the lack of hand dryers in the ladies loos and not enough showers for the ladies either. Also I feel the shop could have opened a little later in the evenings too. But all in all a great site :)

First visit to this site, and we were very impressed. The pitches are really large, so plenty of room for our huge tent. Good facilities - the toilets and showers were very modern and clean with plenty of hot water at all times of the day.
The site is very quiet at night, helped I think by the space between units - we tended to be woken by the wood pigeons in the mornings! We didn't use the laundry facilities this time (just saved it to bring home!) but noted that the washing machines automatically dispense persil non-bio and comfort conditioner - you cannot add your own (£4 per wash).
Our only gripe - with two older children to entertain, it would have been nice if the swimming pool and tennis court were open slightly later in the evenings - both shut at 6pm, which was a shame on the few sunny evenings we had! Also, you need to book the court in advance which can be tricky if you miss the shop opening times.

When we arrived we had a warm friendly welcome, not rushed at all. We were then shown to our large pitch and the owner sited and levelled our van for us in minutes.
Facilities are all first class, spotlessly clean at all times of the day.
Even though the campsite was full, we both commented on how quiet it was all the time we were staying there. What a treat.
Loved it here so much we have booked another stay in September.

Tregarton is a very well managed site with friendly owners. The showers and toilets are first class and the site is clean and tidy with well marked out pitches separated out by bushes and shrubs.
We were on pitch 34 which was next to the kids playpark (as requested) and our 3 girls enjoyed coming and going. On reflection it was perhaps a bit too close to the road for us and we were advised of this when we booked, so that is fine. It is not a busy road but after a while the road noise was intrusive - mind you, you hear everything in a trailer tent! Next time I reckon that a pitch another 10 meters in would make all the difference.
Tennis court is first class too, easy to book and we had a couple of games and enjoyed that.
Swimming pool is really great and is heated. Weather was around 18 deg and raining during second week of July and it was funny to see the steam coming off the pool as it rained!
We would definitely go back to this site when we go back to Cornwall again and would thoroughly recommend it as a relaxing and quality site.
I am sure the weather will be better next time, we left a few days early as it was so stormy!

I agree with most of the other reviews here about the facilities being excellent and very clean, so I wont repeat all of that.
The site is very nicely laid out and has been tastefully developed with old cornish buildings around.
We were on a pitch near the kids play area, a really nice one which kind of sits on its own with out other pitches either side. I can't remember the number now. The kids (7,5 & 2) had a fab time and the older two could go off and play without us all having to go and supervise them.
My only disappointment (not the fault of the park) was that I found the site lacked atmosphere. There were mostly caravans there in half term week. Which meant that most people were in their caravans watching TV in the evenings. The rule of the play park being locked at 9pm was great, so no rowdy kids after dark, which was great with us being so close to it.
The only other negative was rather a lot of rowdy adults around the pool drinking beer one afternoon.
Although Tregarton park was very neat, tidy and organised and made for a very easy camping week it wasn't really my cup of tea.

Lovely, quiet, family friendly campsite. Great toilet and shower block, really clean and modern. Lovely steaming hot water. We had a bigger pitch size (they vary) which was great for our large tent + cars. Older kids loved the pool, younger kids loved the play area.
All facilities are really well laid out and maintained. Washing machines - £4 with self-dispensing powder and softener. Dryers - 20p's, min 60p per load. Take-away menu was really handy, we all had fab, fresh, hot food.
There are only 2 things that I can note if I'm being really picky about our experience:
1. We wished the pool and tennis courts stayed open a little longer in the evenings - closing at 6pm means there's nothing for the teens.
2. Our pitch (29) was right at the front corner of the park near the road. Its not a particularly busy road, but we did really notice the noise of traffic at certain times. Another pitch slightly further back would have been fine.
A great holiday, a great camp site, we would definitely go back again.

We stayed here the last week of July. We had plot 84 which was huge even for our massive Vango 8 man tent. We even managed to park our car on the plot.
The plots are laid out well so that you have privacy from your neighbours. I agree with previous reviews that the only noise were the wood pigeons in the morning and a cow mooing somewhere in the distance. We had lots of early morning visits from rabbits which the kids loved, so we really felt 'at one' with nature.
We deliberately picked this site because they don't have a bar or evening entertainment so it is quiet earlier than many places we have stayed. A definite plus in my book with two preschoolers.
The owners of the site were pleasant and straight talking. I like the fact they have a few rules and tried to make sure other guests stick to them, although their 'dogs to be kept on a lead' isn't always adhered to and there were a couple instances of roaming dogs around our tent, one of which one member of staff drove past but did nothing about.
My only (all be it small) gripe was that they could do with a family wash/shower room as my two year old wasn't keen on using the showers to begin with. Showering the kids in the evening meant we had to queue pretty much every night for a shower even though we varied the times we visited to see if it made a difference. There are only 5 showers for women and the same for men, so be prepared to wait 10 minutes or so during peak season. I had the same when I used the shower in the morning unless I went in before 7.30am.
That said, the showers are clean and the glass door between shower and changing area means you don't get all of your stuff wet/have to get dressed in a puddle.
The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. I expected to have to pay over the odds for forgotten essentials or every day stuff such as bread and milk but was pleasantly surprised.
Would definitely stay here again if we went back to Cornwall and can see why people repeat-book Tregarton.
