Brought my oldest boy here for his first ever camping trip, and my first for a few years. I think for the first time in his life he had the freedom to wander and made full use. The lack of a children's play area was not a problem as we came equipped with a few toys. We found the staff and other campers very friendly and chilled out. He even made some new friends. Would definitely visit again as the area has loads to do for adults and children alike. We were made particularly welcome in the Oddfellows Arms in Chester Street, Cirencester. Tricky to find but served real ale, good food and had a decent sized beer garden and play area.

Stayed for a weekend on our way back from the south coast. Found the site to be very pleasant and the staff were all very nice. The toilets and showers were clean and adequate, three toilets for ladies and two showers plus extra showers in the cabins outside. I would definitely use this site again as it is a perfect location for visiting the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire.

A pleasant site, close (5 mins) to Cirencester. The facilities were kept clean, my only comment would be that things might become a little crowded in season (only 2 toilets and 2 showers) in each. There was another temporary structure that looked like a shower block but was not open (no need in Feb). The site was well kept, with barrier & card access for security.
It's best used as a base to go and visit the local area, especially with kids as there are no play facilities. There is a level of road noise audible from a nearby dual carriageway, but it didn't spoil the visit. The owners couldn't have been any more helpful, showed us to pitch, helped get van on and were full of useful info. I was amazed at how much stuff they had in the little reception / shop. Almost everything I needed and not over charging either.

Staying on the site for three weeks while notice period is completed at work and then travelling Europe for a year. Have found the site superb. Facilities are excellent and what can we say about the staff - friendly and exceedingly helpful. We've new to motorhoming and have had helpful advice that will come in handy during our travels. If you have not visited do so - you won't be disappointed.

Just arrived back from a weekend staying at this site. We found the facilities to be very clean and warm, and the park well managed. Cirencester is only 5 mins by car and is very quaint and has a surprising number of interesting shops etc.
Whilst at the park we experienced quite a few problems with our caravan (it being new to us and first time out). However the owners bent over backwards to offer every possible assistance they could. This included sorting our our frozen gas supplies out of their normal hours, getting us sited with their 4 X 4 when our twin axle got stuck and giving us a quick lesson or two in the general mechanics of our electrical/water system.
It is a very nice site and made even better by the friendliness and willingness to help of the owners. Many thanks Peter! - Would recommend.

Visited this site in January and found that it was ideal as they offered flat and gravelled hard-standing which were generously spaced from other units. Shower blocks and washing up facilites were clean. We have previously camped at Camping and Carvaning Club Sites and have found that, in our opinion, this site gave a much warmer welcome. We look forward to our return to this site and lovely part of the country.

OWNERS COMMENT. As owners of Mayfield Park we always welcome feedback from our customers, so thanks to all those who've posted on this website. We ask everyone on arrival to let us know of any problems (if we don't know, we can't remedy) or tell us any way we can help them. All our direct feedback as customers left this year was how much they enjoyed their stay, with often positive comments on our helpfulness and cleanliness.
It therefore came as quite a shock to read one or two comments from people who were unhappy with our washing up and shower facilities, which are cleaned and checked several times each day - more often in busy times. However, in the light of these comments we have reviewed both our cleaning regime and products.
We all look forward to the completion of our new facilities in the near future. Jan, Adrian, Peter & June

Very nice tidy campsite and only £9 for a pitch. Very friendly and accommodating staff, even though we did arrive late. Small shop on site selling most things you need at surprisingly cheap prices. Cirencester 2 min drive, and good base for lovely part of the Cotswolds. Shower block was small but clean. It was end of September so quiet and no queues. Bypass is within earshot but easy to get used to. Would definitely recommend and will return.

We stayed for a week at Mayfield park. Good things about the site include, helpful and pleasant owners, great location for touring the cotswolds, well stocked site shop with freezer facilities, gas etc, the pitches were a good size so you are not cramped by your neighbours, the site has a security exit and entry system with barrier.
Not so good things include, only 2 mens toilet cubicles and 3 womens toilet cubicles to service 72 pitches so expect to queue..we found it easier to visit the local tesco's loos...cleaner too! The ladies showers were rancid and the road is very noisy.
With a little effort in the toilet block and hygene department..this could be a superb site.

First ever camping trip with family. Site clean and staff very helpful but the CONSTANT traffic noise from the nearby Cirencester by-pass did my head in. Family didn't sleep properly for the whole two night stay. Camped in the slopping field which was awkward, airbed kept sliding down the tent. Very close to town, very conveinent. Overpriced.
