This was our first experience of family camping, we borrowed a tent, which has since been replaced by our own big family tent. Some friends invited us for a single night stay and we found the site to be really good.
Helpful friendly staff at reception, great washing, cleaning, shower facilities, very clean and best of all - lots of space for the toddlers to run around and amuse themselves.
Cirencester is just around the corner for supplies.
We did have quite a bit of noise from the nearby road, so next time will probably pitch at the other end of the field, but now we're now hooked, and really have the camping bug!

Nice campsite which is well looked after. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. Spacious pitches for large tents, which are well defined. Good clean toilets and showers.
The reception is close by and the barrier at the entrance adds extra security. A safe site for children. We have seen comments about the busy road nearby and the noise but we were there with two young children and hardly noticed it, don't be put off!
There are lots of pitches with electric hook ups, and Cirencester is close by for shopping.

Booked for the weekend for 8 people to test out new tent and celebrate our son's birthday. Only us staying in a tent on the field on this occasion.
Price £29 per night with electric.
Camping field - great, large, on a slight slope with large pitches.
Facilities - excellent, clean warm and all working.
Children's Playing area - just a field so take equipment to entertain the little ones (as we did)
Staff - brilliant, very pleasing, accommodating, helpful.
Information area - excellent idea can borrow books / jigsaws etc.
Was told to spread out and enjoy ourselves - we which did!
For us, only one negative aspect - dogs are only allowed in caravans and not tents and so our dog was looked after at home.
Thanks for having us and we will visit again.

We stayed here in April as a stop over on our way down to Dorset and on our way back home again. The site was excellent and the staff very welcoming and helpful, both when arranging the booking and while on site. The facilities were very good, clean and well maintained.
The pitches are very spacious and though the site is quite close to a busy road it's sheltered by trees and bushes so the road is hardly noticeable. We found the site very peaceful and tranquil.
There is a bus to Cirencester that stops nearby the site but you can also take a lovely walk there through a very picturesque village and meadowland.
We will be going back to this site next year for a longer visit and explore some of the many other lovely places around.

Stayed here for 4 nights over February half term, on a fully serviced pitch that was enormous! The site was very easy to find, located just off the main road (no tight country lane to negotiate!). Cirencester is close by, and most of the Cotswolds can be accessed with ease from this site.
The staff were very courteous, pleasant and helpful.
The site is very well kept and tidy, with access via a card controlled barrier, so very secure. Most of the pitches are level, and generous in size. Some are fully serviced, and very reasonably priced. There is no children's playground, although there is a huge 'green' area where you can play ballgames etc.
The toilet blocks had plenty of sinks and showers, were in good condition, very clean and had plenty of hot water.
The dishwashing facilities and laundry room were of of a good standard and spotlessly clean.
There is an information caravan on site, full of leaflets and guides to local attractions. It also has a selection of books and puzzles for anyone with insomnia!
The reception shop stocks a small range of essentials, and also offers home made meals to take away (but we did not try these).
There is some noise from the main road, but it does not keep you awake.
This is a great site that I would use again, and certainly recommend.

Have to agree a very pleasant, clean, efficiently run campsite at £14/night with ehu on hardstanding. Found the heated toilet/shower block to be immaculate and free though the push button on the showers became a bit tiresome. Reception was friendly and helpful. Security in and out the site was via a strict barrier system. Very handy with the bus stop nearby for visiting Cirencester, buses are hourly with the last bus back about 6-15pm although Cirencester can be walked to,details from reception. Not a great deal to do in the area otherwise. Noise from the dual carriageway a bit of a nuisance but gradually got used to it and this wouldn't stop me visiting again.

A very nice site indeed. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Level pitches are very good amd ours had was fully serviced which is great for the £13 per night that we paid. All facilities were very clean. Close to Cirencester Town which is excellent for browsing around. There is a local pub (Freehouse) about a mile away. Recommended and we have rebooked for the month of November. We also looked in the top field which is excellent for tents and vans alike with realy nice views. Give this site a try, you will not be disappointed and it is open all year round.

A lovely site, owners couldn't be more helpfu. Due to time of year there were a few vans and ours the only tent, we pitched right next to the the shower/toilet/wash up, Laundry area, and loved it here. The family bathroom was spot on, and the steps etc so 'sam' could help wash up etc. One of the best sites we have been to and excellent value from money. Got the bus into town, it was only just over £5 return for the both of us, with the stop being 100yards from the site. The barrier entrance impressed us too. Very reasonable price, for a pitch with electric hook up. Cant fault the place, we were invited to help ourselves to apples too! We will be back to visit more of the area

We stayed on this site for one night on the way up the Fosse Way. It is a well kept site with friendly helpful owners and well kept facilities. The pitch was nice, level with gravel hard stand and good grass area to the side, Good hookup on each pitch and water nearby. The drawback was the noise from the main road to Swindon which passes quite near the site and kept us awake most of the night so we would not stay there again. It is near to Cirencester which is a very interesting Roman town with nice shops and lots to see nearby.

We have just come back from an excellent 5 night stay at this site and having been camping for many years this is probably one of the best (if not the best) we have been to.
We were greeted at reception with a big smile and a full demonstration where we were to pitch, the owner also offered to help chock and level up a camper van who were joining us on the stay. We were on the rally field and although there wasn't a play area as such for the children, we had large open spaces around us for kids to go crazy in! Although the field was on a slope, it was flat with no lumps and bumps and we had a great view of the rolling cotswold hills.
The toilet/shower blocks were clean, well stocked with loo paper and were generous in size, the shower cubicles in particular had enough hooks and room to manouvre than most sites we've been to before. The dish washing room comprised of 4 sinks with drainers and stands, and again roomy.
There was also an information room on site. It was fully stocked with leaflets/booklets about the area and it also included a book stand full of books for you to borrow, they had jigsaws, board games and outdoor games for use during your stay.
The site also offered a 'top up service' for if you run out of washing up liquid (which we had done on our previous trip) or cooking oil, a very neat idea as local conveniences are not that local.
During our stay we visited Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water, Cirencester and Cirencester Open Air Pool and we planned to do more but unfortunately ran out of time.
This is a site we will be revisiting as we have more to explore, it was professionally ran, attractive, good value for money, a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds and one of only a few well maintained campsites in the area who allow children
