Arrived and checked in at reception, taken to pitch by warden, not allowed on front row because of twin axle even though we have motor movers fitted. Seemed strange as plenty of large single axles allowed on front even though many had no motor mover.
Very nice pitch though with good view but long way to showers so used our own some of the time and car to showers for other days.
Shower blocks very good and always clean.
Lots of water points and waste disposal.
Good shop on site with basics and morning papers.
Wardens very helpful.
Close to oban and local shops.
Quite at most times however can be noisy when families arrive.
Lots of seasonal pitches so site always looks full but may not have many people there during the week.
Weekenders not a problem but can give the impression of busy site.
Next to oban airfield but noise not intrusive.
Will return sometime but ask for pitch closer to facilities as mrs smith not able to walk to far some days

Enormous site much bigger than we expected. I must say though as it is divided into separate areas does not feel as big as it actually is.
Only 2 toilet blocks and they are very close to each other, they really should consider building one at the far end as it was quite a trek to the loos.Site very busy but was never crowded in the toilet block and I never once had to queue for a shower.
Views are fantastic and we were lucky enough to be placed in the front row, or so we thought until 4 days into our stay and we experienced our first storm. Strangely the wind never seems to blow off the sea but rather onto it. We had to take down our awning 8pm one evening when the poles started to bend and guy ropes snapped, not easy in a gale but we got lots of help from our neighbours. Would not recommend a pitch on the front row with a porch awning. Some full awnings did blow down that night too mind.
We were lucky enough to be near the services, but chemical toilet disposal required a car journey and night time lighting around the pitches is non-existent and the rest very poor.
Overall we greatly enjoyed our 8 night stay but would imagine it could get very noisy during peak holiday time.

A fantastic site with unbelievable views.
The pitches are quite small in places but seemed to be plenty of room between pitches. We were lucky enough to have a pitch in the second row overlooking the beach and no-one was ever placed in front of us. The downside is that you are shown to a pitch, but we were lucky to be given a nice one.
Due to being exposed it is essential to take a tie down kit. We went onto the beach (dog friendly) and collected some big pebbles to put around the bottom of the awning.
The shop stocks loads and it is a 10 min drive from Oban.
We never used the facilities as we have them in the caravan.

Family of 5 and we stayed at North Ledaig for 5 nights. This site is fantastic for scenery and fresh air. There is a good play park for the kids and the staff are friendly.
Although this is a private site managed by the Caravan Club, it does not operate to the same high standards. In particular, the toilets required more frequent cleaning.
The shop / reception is situated at the site entrance and is extremely well stocked but unfortunately the rolls are not fresh.
Many cars turn off the main road into the car park fast. To walk from the site to the shop requires walking through the car park. There is no designated path and it is therefore dangerous to send children to the shop on their own.
Overall, this site is worth the visit but remember this is west coast Scotland and there is a high probability of rain. Also, nearby Oban is a tourist town and expensive.

We stayed on this site for 4 nights.
We arrived, reported to reception and found the reception staff to be friendly and helpful, the shop is very well stocked with a wide range of food, general goods and caravan and camping accessories at reasonable prices.
We did not have to wait long to be escorted to our pitch by a warden who was very keen to ensure we placed the caravan exactly where he wanted it. While the websites say all have views towards the sea which is correct but some are so far back the view of the sea is very limited, we were lucky enough to be second row back, from the sea, so had a good view,
we were also close to a service point but not all people were that lucky and the bin area of our service point got smellier as our stay went on, to the point that our children refused to take rubbish to the bin.
The toilet blocks were modern but not always up to the standard I would expect and have received at smaller and older sites. The toilet blocks are also a very long way from some of the pitches so much that there is a car park at the toilet blocks and some people used bicycles to get about.
The biggest disappointment of our stay though was that the site is far bigger that the mentioned 120 pitches, we counted 237 from the site plan, they call it sites 1, 2, 3 and 4 but effectively 3 of the 4 sites are all one and there are only 2 toilet blocks.
If you do not like large busy sites then this is not for you! Note if you have a small boat you wish to launch this site has a very popular slipway, though there is also a small airport at the southern end of the site so if the wind direction is not in your favour, you will have the sight of small light aircraft coming into land or takeoff over the site, though we only noticed this one afternoon of our stay and was not aware of any night use.

A beautiful setting on the edge of the loch with a shingle/rocky beach, excellent for launching boats and for other water activities. I have been before and as always, the weather will perhaps make or break the holiday but that's Scotland.
North Ledaig is a vast site with good facilities although some pitches are quite a trek from the wash blocks and chemical waste disposal points. You are escorted to a pitch and luckily we got one near to the front.
The back rows are quite near to a noisy main road. Regulars can pre book pitches which is allowed as we found to our cost. We wanted to stay a further week and to do so we had to move 4 pitches along because the one we occupied was pre booked.
But still we had a good pitch facing the Lochside. As stated in other posts, the shop is well stocked for essentials and more.
Just a few words of warning though. Staff were helpful but a little stern with a 'take it or leave it' attitude. And the site is robustly maintained with warden patrols and gardeners to the point of making campers take down guy ropes on awnings to be able to mow the grass. However the site is well maintained and looked after. The other point to make is that this is NOT a Caravan club site but a Caravan club affiliated site which means that you will get a discounted tarif of currently £2 per night (instead of the usual £4) but you will not get any return of money paid should you choose to leave early under ANY circumstances.
I enjoy this site and its environs. It is pretty and well maintained in an idylic spot and recommended but read the terms and conditions first.

Wonderful site. You are taken to your pitch by the warden who assists you with pitching your caravan. Large site but didn't have a problem with availability of the clean shower/toilet blocks. Wonderful views. Helpful staff. Rather expensive shop, but provides most of what you need. Can get a bit windy at times, so make sure you tie your awning down! Nice play area for the children. Recycling facilities on site. Would definitely go again.

A well maintained site, spacious pitches, hard stand for both van and awning and ground is hard so be prepared, luckily it was not windy so awning not really tested. All vans face sea with wonderful views, staff welcoming and helpful, and a well stocked shop reasonably priced for a site shop, escorted to site, though. This is the norm. Now. Top toilets and showers high tech and spot-on. Downside: too far to empty Thetford, waste and fresh water points only 2 on top site and site nearer sea saw peeps lugging waste, water etc. 300yds. Otherwise this must be 1 of the top sites in UK.

Not being members and turned up without booking we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. Given a great pitch right on the waters edge. The facilities are very clean and tidy and the shop is really well stocked. Did seem a bit strange that the site has a members only field and a non members field, perhaps the members of the Caravan Club think they are better and don't want to mix with the riff raff non members? Any way, really enjoyed the site and Oban is a great little town, felt like a Cornish town used to before over development.
Great site, would happily return
