We have been visiting this site for 20+ years and it continues to maintain it's very high standards.

The 'new' toilet block near the shop is very high spec and both blocks are always scrupulously clean This is a well maintained site but lacks a toilet block towards the airport end of the site, where new hard standings are being installed. Both toilet blocks are fairly central but many pitches are a long walk away.

The staff are always friendly and helpful, the shop is well stocked. The nearest supermarkets are in Oban 5 miles away. The bus stop is outside the site and service is good. Views from the site are magnificent and all pitches face the sea.

We have used this site a few times, as has already been said it is always tidy and well maintained the showers loos etc are top class. There is lots to do in the area careful not to just sit in the van watching the tide and the boats come and go.

It is quite a large site but spread out over three areas. The shop is excellent as is the caravan shop and the grocery /post office in Benderloch It is quite busy in the summer but great in the spring and autumn.

The staff are friendly and helpful only fault they zip round in a van not very eco friendly. Although you can recycle glass and paper.

We have just returned from two weeks at this fantastic site and we had the best holiday that we can remember. The site is privately owned but is run and maintained to Caravan Club standards.

The staff are excellent, well informed on the area and most importantly very friendly and welcoming. The toilets and showers are immaculate and the shop is well stocked with everyday items. There are also some caravan spares and toilet fluid.

This particular area of Scotland is beautiful and we were lucky enough to have two weeks of glorious weather to help us enjoy it at its best.

We have booked another two week stay in September and we can't wait to get back to the site and the area.

We came here last year and loved it so much we stayed again this year on our tour of Scotland. We were even lucky enough to get in again on the way back. We just love this site, the atmosphere, the views - whatever the weather, even though we had mostly hot sunshine!

It is great for taking out the kayak and the site is very dog friendly - so long as everyone picks up and keeps control of their dogs. Super shop and very friendly staff.

The site is quite large but never feels crowded or noisy. Its one of those sites where people stop and chat such is the relaxed feel of the site. Behind the scenes are a small group of people constantly making sure everything is up to scratch.

It's a very clean and well kept site. Cannot recommend highly enough - its one of our top sites and we really didn't want to leave!

I love this site. This was my second visit. For a lone female, it feels very safe whilst still having loads to do in the area. Cycled 10 miles around part of Loch Etive - very safe, flat road opposite the site. Return bus trip to Oban costs £3.15 - loads of ferry cruises to choose from here. Walked up the hills behind the site for an alternative view.

I don't have a single negative comment about this site - friendly staff, very clean, and the best view I've ever found: always something different to look at in the bay.

If you don't like big sites with long rows of vans, then don't come - all the more availability for the rest of us.

We visited this site for a week before Easter. We were greeted by the friendly wardens on the opening day of the season. We were lucky enough to be sited on the edge of the shore. The facilities are quite modern and scrupulously clean. There is a very well stocked shop, with newspapers, frozen foods and most things which you might need.

The views were breathtaking. There was snow on the hills when we first arrived, and by the fourth day, there was snow everywhere which just added to the splendour of the views. There were ferry boats going to and fro to the islands all day long. The nearest ferryport is Oban. There was also a small airport to the southern edge of the site. They seemed to have flying lessons from there, but they were only small aircraft and didn't make much noise.

During our stay we visited Oban, just about a quarter of an hours drive from the site. It is a fairly small harbour town, but with many supermarkets, mainly on one site and a leisure centre. Later in the week we went to Fort William, there wasn't much there and we couldn't find anywhere suitable to get lunch. We did however, see Ben Nevis in all its glory, but it seemed quite a long drive from the site.

We also went to the Isle of Mull for a day. It is advisable to book the ferry before you go, because even at this time of year, some of the sailings are fully booked. We got the 11.55 ferry, but on hindsight we should have gone earlier, as it didn't give us much time on the island.

We visited picturesque Tobermory (known as Balamory to many pre-school children as it is a daytime TV programme). It was well worth going; we had to search around for a while until we found all the buildings on the TV programme, but we managed in the end, and our souvenirs and films were much appreciated by our grandchildren. Sadly again there wasn't really much choice for eating out. The ferry did have packed lunches for sale, but if we went again, we would probably go prepared with a picnic.

We found a lovely place for meals about five minutes away from the site. If you turn right out of the site, go over the bridge and down to the first junction, turn right there and the pub is just on your right. We went there for several meals and the food was first class.

Dogs are welcome on the site, there are the usual restrictions. We always take our dog with us.. The tide didn't get up far enough to clear the mess. It is this which gives dog owners a bad name, and at some time in the future may get dogs banned from sites.

One thing which worried us on the way up to the site, was the road from Tarbet at the top end of Loch Lomond, where the road narrows and winds considerably. There were also a lot of roadworks which led to many sections of single file traffic.

Our visits to Scotland are not as frequent as they used to be, due to the midges. However we took some good advice from a friend, and went early season. Not a midge in sight!

We had a lovely holiday, if you like peace and tranquillity then this is the place for you.

Despite the great views and good facilities we didn't really warm to this site. It appears to have nearly 300 pitches and I think we realised we have a new site choice criteria - if the site is big enough to need a car park for the toilet block then it's too big for us.

Bit of a strange pitch allocation process where they tell you the pitch number you are on, give you the site map, but then you have to wait for the Warden to drive you to your pitch. Depending on how many other arrivals there are I could see this taking a while at busy times.

The staff were friendly, the shop was well stocked and there is a small outdoor shop up the road, plus Supermarkets etc in Oban. Other reviews have commented on the fact that it is a Caravan Club site, but note it is an affiliated site rather than one that is Caravan Club run.

For Motorhomers like ourselves they try to give you a level pitch near the old railway line. This does mean you are several rows back from the front but the other areas all slope quite a lot. One other Motorhome plus is that the waste facilities are very good, no heavy lids / grates to lift and there are 2 of them on the site.

Site with some of the most beautiful views I've seen. Pitched right on the water edge. Lots of loos and showers. AS caravan club site, so an area specially for caravan club members. Lots of caravans stay here all summer. Very quiet site.
Nearest supermarket Oban (5 miles) but a very well stocked shop on site selling newspapers etc every day 8.30 - 8pm in season and till 6pm off season.
Free showers. 2 shower blocks cleaned at different times during the day. Not very well lit at night, you need a torch, and a map (which you are given of the site) there are paths everywhere.
Very relaxing would definitely come again. End of October, 2 nights £29.50. Very friendly wardens who show you to your pitch.

An excellent very well organised site. The reception / shop has most things including midge bite remedies! A warden guides you to your allocated pitch, drive in and drive out. Most people wont have to reverse.

The views are stunning as you are pitched barely 20 yards from the shore.

The toilet and shower facilities are first class. Plentiful and immaculate. We never queued once. Superb dog walk for miles along an old disused railway track that runs through the centre of the park. We'll be back.

A bus runs past the site at frequent intervals for Oban.

When we booked this we didn't realise it was a Caravan Club site (and we are Caravan and Camping Club members - OOOPS!). Anyway, we were welcomed and enjoyed a 5 day stay. Site facilities are excellent.

Make sure you visit nearby Ganavan Bay plus Ellenabeich and its excellent free museum plus opportunities for sea trips or ferry across to little Easdale opposite.

Good location for Oban and ferries. Mull was glorious especially the white sand beaches at Fidden and Calgary. If you have the time a trip right around the island is worthwhile.
