A tent on a caravan club site?? well it was fine a nice site only 6 pitches for tents with 4 having electric hook up. As with all the other reviews nice toliet blocks, short walk to town but beware if you are in a tent, the caravanners and motorhomes do seem to look down there noses at you. Ooooh ahhhh

Really nice site just behind the abbey and a stones throw from the town. Very clean and with good security plus having somewhere to park and hook up when arriving late or early. Grassed parking mostly level or gentle slopes but take a 25 meter cable for some hook ups are some distance. There are two shower blocks including disabled that are as good as you get on any campsite, beware these are closed every morning 9.45-11.00 for cleaning (just when you need them) apart from that just about perfect and a good base for much of the Cotswolds plus Gloucester docks are worth a visit.

Just returned from a week at Tewkesbury Abbey and have had a lovely time! Even the weather was reasonably kind to us! This is very clean and well kept site (as you'd expect from the CC) Nice toilet and shower blocks with plenty of hot water. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal for children on bikes, although there is no play area on site (about 5 minutes walk to the nearest park!) Small shop on site. The area is prone to flooding but a emergency procedure is in place if this happens, but we had no problems on this score even though we did have a few hours of heavy rain! Tewkesbury town centre is an few minutes walk away, and has plenty of shops and places to eat. The Abbey is worth a visit to! Would definitely go back!

Great site with views of Tewkesbury Abbey from some pitches. We stayed here for one night during the last bank holiday. It was busy but we still had a fair choice of pitches on our arrival. There are some nice little 'cozy' areas if you choose your pitch well. We managed to get a pitch with a view of the Abbey from our motorhome. Toilet facilities were nice and clean - the usual Caravan Club standard. Plenty of things to see and do within walking distance from the site. Tewkesbury itself has plenty of high street shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs and the walk to the River Severn across the 'Ham' is lovely in the sunshine, boggy in the rain I'd imagine?! The site was doggie friendly (which is VERY important to us!) with a park and dog walking area right outside the main gates.

The site is very close to the town centre - nice to be able to walk down before breakfast for fresh bread and a paper. Facilities are good and clean if a little ageing. Access is controlled by a barrier and there is no vehicle access after 10.30pm. Staff were cheerful and helpful despite the site being very full while we were there.
Choose your (grass) pitch carefully - some are very small, and you can find yourself on a thoroughfare to the facilities if you choose the wrong spot.
Whilst the town is for the most part less attractive than a medaeval town should be in our opinion, and somewhat traffic-ridden, there is an apparent good choice of pubs, restaurants, and food shops. Turn left (on foot) instead of right out of the site, then right down Mill St and you can cross the river at the weir by Abbey Mill and walk along the 'Ham' to the far side of the town centre - more pleasant than walking through the town at busy times.
The area itself has a lot to offer, with the Marches, Malverns and Cotswolds at hand, but we will try the other Cotswold sites before we consider returning to Tewkesbury. The site does have its loyal adherents though - we met several mainly mature couples who return regularly and pitch up for a week or more, so perhaps you should try it for yourself.

A great site with the usual top class facilities you would expect from a caravan club site, even though the pitches are not as large. The site is also close to town so a stroll to the pub or the take away is great! The abbey over looks the site and is picturesque when lit up at night. A very popular site where pre booking is a must.

Really nice site very handy for the town. We only stopped for one night on our way home from france but we wish we could have stayed longer. Showers and loos were nipping clean. We would recommend the food in the Bell Hotel our were great. If you like the sound of church bells this is the place to be

A pleasant site situated a short walk from Tewkesbury town centre, the site is ideal for a stopover as it is only a couple of miles from junction 9 of the M5 motorway.Access to the site is by electronic barriers and pedestrian gates,a key for these is issued on arrival. The site consists of grass pitches, the site was rather crowded during our stay.I found the toilet/shower blocks (the site has three) well maintained, but had to queue for shower, felt there could have been more toilet & shower cubicles at the block I used. There was dishwasher/veg preparation area.there was a motorhome service point at site entrance. Will visit the site again,as there seems so much to do in Tewkesbury, there are river cruises, walks etc, good shops for stocking up,also plenty of pubs & restaurants.

A great site located close to the town centre and the abbey. We found the pitches OK, but we only have a smallish camper van. No problems with the facilities, up to the usual CC standard. Very handy for the town, plenty of pubs and eating places, lovely walks by the river. We would definitely go again.

A really lovely site. Right in the town almost next to the Abbey. Toilets not up to usual caravan club standard but ok. A visit to "My Great Grandfathers" restaurant is a must in my book and only a couple of minutes from the site. Would definitely use this site again.
