Reviewing as a tent pitcher. Good ,safe site with friendly staff and clean facilities. If you are camping beware of your pitch. I was first camper on the weekend and was given a pitch that was nearest; the reception, the squeaky automated entrance pole, the gardeners shed, the 'storage tanks', the road to the local Beirut estate, the VERY loud Tewkesbury Abbey bells, and an agressive caravanning couple with 2 dogs on Prozac. Insist on a pitch as far away as you can get from the reception side and you have a superb venue. Great pubs, a One Stop in 1 mins walk, a truly superb deli, and even a traditional sweet shop.
Would particularly recommend the cricket pitch, whih is 100 metres from site. The comments from the clubhouse to the opposing fielders should be recorded for posterity! Good cruise along the Avon at £3 a head. If you're short on a cash though its one way only, so double the fees to get back to where you started!

The site location is excellent, easy access to town with all its amenities. The Berkely Arms is a nice pub, with friendly staff and regulars. There is good fishing both in the river, and at a series of lakes (large mirror carp)a short drive away opposite the Hilton Puckrup Hotel on the A38 towards Worcester. One one criticism we had was that the pitches were very close to each other. This is especially difficult if, like us, you have a foreign caravan with the door on the 'wrong' side which means your awning is directly facing those opposite. Even without this particular problem, I felt the number of pitches should be reduced to give a bit more space. Other than this, nice and clean and well looked after.

July 2004 Had a great weekend at Tewkesbury recently, our pitch was a little bumpy, and the pitches aren't overlarge, but a lovely tidy site, toilets/showers up to usual CC standards. Easy walk into town, wardens helpful, would go again.

August 2003 This site is one of the best Caravan Club sites & is open to non members & tents. We spent 10 days here in the heatwave of 2003. The site has two exellent shower blocks which are spotlessly clean, the site also has security barriers and visitors are provided with a key. This is a site where you can forget the car and just enjoy the surrounding area, you can take a short stroll into town and have a meal, all are reasonably priced, also many pubs with real ale. For the anglers amongst us it's perfect, with the Back of Avon only a five min walk away this water contains many fish including quite large carp.

2002 Slightly sloping in places but ideally located for easy walking. Turning left out of the site takes you to the quiet side of town and the Abbey.
Turning right puts you almost into the high street with its shops and eating houses for all tastes. Browse the antique and bookshops and sample the ale in the many pubs. If you fancy a river cruise this is where the Avon and the Severn meet. There is plenty of riverside walking to be had. There are Market Days and it does have a theatre. Easy access to The Malvern's, Worcester and Cheltenham.

July 2002 We had a couple of weeks here in July and found it an excellent base - the site was very good clean and friendly
Most of the pubs do bar meals at a reasonable enough price although the Berkeley Arms was very cheap and cheerful. Some nice enough walks following the river Avon and cycle friendly paths.
Close enough to most of the Cotswolds, Cheltenham, Gloucester etc. Sudley Castle is worth a visit as is Bourton on the water, Stow and the Slaughters if you haven't been.
There is a path to the back of the site (fenced off) which runs along the housing estate and although it can be a little noisy on a Friday night, the site is well screened and we didn't find it a problem, we felt very safe with the children considering this is a town site.
