Met by very friendly site wardens upon arrival at the beatifully planted reception adorned with flowers. Our relatives had already pitched up, so we were advised that the pitch next to them would be free the next day if we wanted to stay in another pitch just for the night. This we did.
Facilities were clean, a bit dated but in good working order nonetheless.
Two blocks so there are always showers/toilets available. Quiet site, with plently of space between pitches, mature trees around the perimiter and in the centre added character but did not cause the site to be dark or over shadowed. Well maintained services, recyling, bins, etc.
The location is perfect if you don't wish to drive anywhere as the town of Tewkesbury is a short walk (10 mins) and has plently of shops for provisions or places to eat if you don't' wish to cook! We tried the Indian in the High Street which was OK.
Our first visit, and it's too far for us for a weekend, but will definitely consider this site for another 4-5 day stay, and even longer if we decide to venture out in the car further afield.

Another visit to this lovely site fantastic staff great facilities toilets are one of the best with privacy cubicles and good showers, there are two blocks with wash up laundry and waste disposal, reception sells basics and takes orders for papers. I did not see a play area or any children when we were there. A short walk into town with all the shops you need a supermarket a beautiful home made bread shop and plenty of restaurants, we had the best Indian ever at the Rahj, lovely river walks and boat rides. There is a bus stop at the side of the Abbey which is well worth a visit. We use it on our way south and as a stop off to wind down. I am sure we will be back.

This is a very well kept Caravan Club site, yes the toilet blocks are a bit dated but were always clean and the site grounds maintained as you would expect from the Caravan Club. All pitches are grass and quite a few are very un level ! The site is very well located being just a 5 minute walk from the town centre with all the usual pubs, shops & restaurants (weatherspoons across the road) The downside is the constant industrial machinery noise from the adjacent plant (started at 7. 30am and silence finally fell at 6pm) the other issue was the regimental style in which a couple of the wardens ran the place was seen on numerous occasions telling members off for parking incorrectly and we were shouted at by the man for taking a 5 meter short cut on the one way system, neither were ambassadors for the Caravan Club which is a shame as you rarely come across such rude abrupt CC staff anymore !

It's exactly what you can expect from a caravan club site with excellent security given its close proximity to the centre of Tewkesbury, yes the facilities are dated but they are numerous clean and perfectly functional. Left at the exit from Gander Lane and you will find an Aldi within 2 minute drive, Morrisons near motorway junction, Tesco metro at the other end of the high street. Pub's restaurants and takeaways all within waking distance. Good flat walks along both the Avon and Severn rivers, Ledbury and Gloucester both approx 12 miles away so plenty of options for a change of scenery.
16 amp ehu no issues with free view or satellite reception mainly flat grass pitches, levelling blocks needed for a small number of pitches. Good playground just outside of main entrance for the little ones.

This is probably our 4th visit to this site but, we won't be returning. We've been to Caravan Club sites up and down the country, even in Scotland, but found this to be the worst by far.
As previous reviews have said, the wardens are far to officious and run this site like a military establishment. We'd innocently parked outside of marker post and we genuinely thought the foot we were out really wouldn't be an issue. We were wrong. I had a warden phone me, then a visit by 2 more telling me I'd pitched outside of the marker post and it would need to be moved. The owners of the caravans on the adjoining pitches also had the unwelcome visit.
What should have been a relaxing weekend turned into a trip where we couldn't wait to leave. It was such a shame as the site itself is wonderful. It's location is perfect for a gentle level walk into town. We even managed to enjoy watching a game of cricket at Tewkesbury Cricket Club next door. The restaurants in town seemed plentiful and we enjoyed a fantastic curry in one of the pleasant Indian restaurants.
We really do like Tewkesbury, but we go away for a restful peaceful break after a hard weeks work. Unfortunately, due to the wardens on this site we'll try others nearby, even if it means a 30 minute drive back to Tewkesbury.

We visited this site during the late October half term holiday.
The site itself is just a short walking distance from Tewksbury town centre. Access to the site is very good, and when we arrived we were met with a very warm welcome by the wardens, even though they were very busy.
It's certainly not the quietest site I've been to. Due to it's location, you can always hear a low hum from local traffic and the M5 which is just a mile away. You also get the once every 15 min chime from Tewksbury Abbey, which didn't bother me but did bother some.
The facilities on site are to the usual CC standard, yes the toilets and showers are dated as others have mentioned, but they are always clean.
My only gripe with this site, and it is minor. The grass needed mowing. When walking to the wash block the wet grass would get your shoes wet very quickly.
I would have liked to see a children playing park on site, yes there is one close by offsite, but one on site would have been a bonus.
If you're after a site where you can park up your car for most of your stay, this is certainly the site for you.

Very clean and tidy showers and toilets, secure environment. Easy to find. Friendly staff. Walking distance great for town shops and pubs.
Abbey right on door step. Ace site. Will be back in summer. Bus stop right by abbey if you want to explore other places. One of the best sites we have been to this year.

Stayed here in early September. 3 in MH and one friend in a tent. Very busy site but was the perfect location for access to the town.
Wardens were friendly and helpful.
Facilities a little tired and could do with a re-furb but still more than acceptable.
It is a short walk into the town centre which is very nice. Good selection of pubs and restaurants. Plenty of other things to do as well; the Abbey is very interesting; the River's Avon and Severn very near by.
Whilst we were lucky with the weather, we had a great few days away.

Have just returned from a weekend at this site and were very impressed.
Location: perfect, town literally around the corner with bus stop very close.
Facilities:very good, clean and tidy at all times.
Pitches: we were fine but as they are all grass, may be a little worried if there had been heavy rain.
Wardens:Very pleasant and helpful.
We will definitely return.

Stayed for a week in july with a motorhome and young children. The site is not the best laid out site I have been to, to get to the showers etc you have to cut across pitches and some people do not like that. They are all grass pitches with electric and some taps dotted about however there is only one tap for motorhomes and it can get busy the drain is also at the same place right near the entrance so can cause disruption in vans coming in and out. The showers were hot but do need an update, the loos also need sorting out they took ages to refill when flushed and did not always flush properly. Caravan club rules apply here, park correctly and don't do this or that etc. Location is why we stayed here close to shops and swimming pool and cinema. Kids park in field next door. Site was quiet for july not full, lovely array of flowers at entrance.
