We have just spent a lovely weekend at this site & have re-booked another. A lovely site well laid out and very peaceful. The wardens were very friendly & helped us get settled onto our pitch. There were a few slightly bumpy pitches in the area we choose however there were plenty of pitches to choose so we just went for the flattest. If you took small children to the site I felt they would be very safe on bikes etc. Probably not much fun for the older kids although there is a pool table in the rec. Room. There,s a mobile fish & chip van on Wednesdays & Saturdays.

We live about 30 mins from the site & work till late so with the nights drawing in this is an ideal site for us.

A large site with the majority subdivided into smaller sections. Although camping we were with a caravan and were allowed to pitch on an area of adjacent grass. The caravan was booked as being on hard standing but in fact it was grass create and was therefore the grass was a bit worn. Plenty of space around our pitches but some areas did seem to be more squeezed in.

The shower and toilet block we used was very clean, although the showers are the push button type which can get a bit annoying. When we visited a number of the toilets and showers in both the gents and ladies were out of order. However, with a pit of planning regarding shower time we still didn’t need to use the block nearest the site office.

There was only one rubbish area, adjacent to the site office, which was a bit strange for such a big site, particularly as all the other CCC sites we have been on have bins located at various points. There were proper recycling bins provided though. There was also a good short dog walk around the edge of the site.

Although we didn’t need to use our freezer blocks (we had use of a caravan fridge this time) we did notice you could only seem to hire them at a cost with no apparent facilities to freeze your own! Therefore the note that ‘Freezer Facilities’ are available is a bit misleading.

The Swann Inn in the village did a good pint, let dogs into the bar but did seem very expensive for food. The wardens are very friendly and recommended a lovely pub (The Old Bush) in Callow End. This was excellent and well worth the short drive for the food - we had a very full Steak & Guinness Pie and Lamb Shank.

Just got back from a brilliant 5 day stay here. The wardens were very helpful and friendly, and helped us select a nice pitch.

The facilities were always spotlessly clean, with plenty of toilets / showers / wash cubicles. The showers are the free, push-button type and there is a 20p hairdryer in the ladies.

On site there is also dishwashing, laundry facilities, a mother / baby room and disabled toilet (both accessed by getting a key from reception I think but we didn't use these), and a large room with a pool table and lots of chairs / tables which would be good on rainy days.

The site itself is very tidy, and there is lots of space between the pitches (we were in the field nearest the entrance). There was also a kids play area and a dog walk (we didn't use these). There were quite a few units on site but it was very quite at night.

There is a village store, butchers and pub serving good food only 15 mins level stroll from the site.

Overall very pleased and will definitely be returning.

PS: If following a caravan onto the site for the first time - ensure you turn onto the 'Camping and Caravanning Club' site (first right) and don't go straight on to to the Caravanning Club site - especially if you have a tent - they got very upset about this

Not having pitched a tent in 25 ish years we bought one, and this was the first site we stayed on, just for one night to see what we might need for future camping.
It's a wonderful site, clean, tidy, very helpful staff who even guided us to a great greasy spoon breakfast cabin!
The shower blocks were clean and easy to use, I tell you, camping grounds have come on a long way from the muddy fields I used to camp on, we are most impressed.
We will go there again for longer next time.

We stayed here 1st week of August when it rained torentially, locals said they hadn't seen rain like it in years!

I was a lovely site though - 2 toilet/shower blocks, both spacious, modern & spotless & no queues.

Son, 13, brought his friend with him & they spent lots of time in the pool room. Our 4 year old loved the playground.

Washing, drying & dishwashing facilities were great.

Our only problem was that the hardstanding was green plastic stuff pushed into the grass & after 2 days of ridiculously hard, non-stop rain we were paddling in the awning! There were people far worse off than us though - some people in tents had to pack up & abandon their breaks as they were flooded.

This hasn't put us off though & we'd definitely go back.

This was our first visit to Blackmore and wont be our last. We had a fantastic pitch just in front of the shower block and the playground was in front which was ideal with 2 little ones.

The facilities were clean, modern and I never once had to queue for a shower. Washing up facilities excellent.

The surrounding area was beautiful and was lovely to visit an area of the country that we usually just pass through on the motorway. Lots to do in the area even with little ones if they don't mind walking and visiting castles. Goodrich castle was well worth a visit.

We loved this site and will definitely return!

This is a lovely site. It doesn't feel big at all, thanks to some clever use of hedging to subdivide it into smaller fields.

The facilities were very clean and perfectly adequate, although the showers are the push button type and don't stay on for very long so you have to keep pushing to restart them. There wasn't a temperature control, but they were warm enough and not too hot.

The staff are very friendly and made a real effort to find out what we wanted from a pitch and did their best to accommodate it. We asked for one with some shade and were given a great one that we were very happy with. We were shown there by a chap on a bike and he spent several minutes discussing with us the best way to pitch the tent and where to put it for maximum shade.

The locality doesn't have a huge amount to offer unless you're a walker. The malvern hills are a must - the view from the top is stunning. Our daughter really enjoyed painting some pottery at the Green Frog Pottery shop in Malvern, although it was expensive (you pay per item and a large mug was £10!)

We had a wonderful weekend at this lovely site and will definitely be returning.

This was our third visit to Blackmore and even though the local Three Counties Show was on the weekend we were there and the site was full (200 pitches), it didn't feel overcrowded as the pitches are well spaced and quite a few are surrounded by trees.

The staff are very accommodating and friendly.

We had a hardstanding pitch - which is of the 'mesh under the grass' variety. Very easy to peg out the awning and yet firm underfoot if the going gets wet.

Toilets/showers were up to the usual standards, spotlessly clean, with spacious cubicles.

Games room is good for the kids but the table tennis table had disappeared since our last visit, leaving my 12 year old disappointed. Had to make do with the pool table!

Upton on Severn is close to hand.Good local pubs and tea rooms/shops.

Difficult to get a good reception on the TV - due to the proximity to the Malvern Hills I think - but worth it for the views.

All in all 9/10 for Blackmore. A really good C&CC site and ideal for us for a weekend visit.

On arrival at the site after sorting out the office stuff you are directed to your pitch by a site warden on a bicycle. As I was right next to the wash room block I checked them out 1st, all spick and span and considering that it was Sunday afternoon that was good as all the weekender's had just gone and they stayed clean all week The site itself is huge plenty of space for everyone The grass was well manicured (although later in the week after a rather strenuous walk the constant noise of the mowing machine did get on my nerves)

Locally there is lots to do You have Worcester to the north Gloucester to the south Tewkesbury in between but the best bit is right on the doorstep The Malverns some absolutely stunning views from the top of the Worcestershire Beacon (at 1395ft) Park at British Camp car park (£2 to park all day and the parking ticket is transferable between all the different car parks) and walk across to the Beacon There is also disabled access to The Malverns via tarmacked paths

I also never checked to see what was on at the 3 Counties Showground as during the week there was a Championship Dog Show on and I was surrounded by dogs of all sizes and breeds. To be fair to the owners there wasn't too much yapping. The people behind me had 4 Bearded Collies and apart from the odd spat they were no problem, but it would be worthwhile checking just in case

The only point I can actually say that let this site down was the there was only one rubbish area which was just behind the entrance / office, for such a big site there didn't seem to be that many bins either although they did have some proper recycling bins plenty of water points so I would have thought they could stick a wheelie bin at each water point

Would I go back to this site. Yes definitely but I would make sure that I was pitched in a different area of the site

Went with another family (they had electric hook up and we didn't) and we were sited opposite each other despite the site being quite busy. Great facilities - washblocks, washing machine, tumble dryer, hairdrier takes 20ps, family bathroom, children's play area, games room with pool table and loads of free space, shop with milk and ice creams, cool block hire. Very welcoming, friendly and well kept.

Nearby Upon on Severn was lovely, The Swann Inn at Hanley Swan good food but slow service, Clives Fruit Farm fantastic for strawberry picking and entertaining the kids!

Would love to go again!
