I stayed at Blackmore for an extended long weekend over Easter.
I requested a jumbo pitch with EHU as I preferred to have a bit more space, not being on my own with the dog for a change.
I was offered to choose my own pitch out of a choice of 3 by the helpful staff, and chose Pitch 133, which had a bit of shade that I thought would be advantages as I am not a sun worshipper. However, the weather was not all that great during my stay, with some cloudy, windy and wet weather, mixed with the occasional sunny periods. And I wished I was not in the shade when the sun was out, as I felt quite cold being in the shade.
The site was very well-appointed and the staff very helpful as expected from a C&CC club site. It has two excellent facilities block, and the one closest to my pitch had a large recreation room attached to it, equipped with a pool table, a number of benches and seats, and what appeared to be comfy armchairs and a sofa. The room was a welcomed alternative than sitting inside one's unit when the weather was not favourable outside.
Plenty of hot water for showers and dish-washing. Although the showers are the usual push-button variety, ladies, the shower roses are detachable from the walls and can be hand-held via flexible hoses!
There were not many youngsters about during my stay, however, the outdoor playing equipment and the field nearby for ball games appeared to keep them entertained.
A mobile chippy comes every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and was very popular, as the site was next door to a Caravan Club's site. It can be found in the playing field just outside the site that also serves as an overflow car park for both sites. Be prepared to wait for a long time though, it took us nearly an hour to get our food, and there were only about 10-12 people waiting in front of us when we joined the queue! However, the beer-battered haddocks and chips we had were very tasty, and portion size very generous, definitely good value for money, providing one is prepared to wait!
The site is close to Malvern and the famous Malvern Hills. The town itself is quite quaint with some interesting places to visit.
We went exploring in Malvern and the Malvern Hills, and went further afield and visited Eastnor Castle (relatively expensive for what it was worth) and the Brockhampton Estate.
There are a number of walks at the Brockhampton Estate of varying lengths, however, there was no indication of level of fitness required and difficulties for any of them, except they could be steep and muddy in places, and appropriate footwear should be worn etc. Be warned, they are far from 'pram walks' and gentle strolls except perhaps for the shortest 'Heart' walk, and it took me nearly 3 hours to complete the 'Orange' walk that is about 2. 5miles. I did feel rather proud of myself afterwards, as it was quite steep, muddy and slippery in places.
Be warned about potential power outage, as we experienced during our stay. The site was busy over Easter, with nearly every EHU pitches occupied (plenty of non-EHU pitches left though). During the second night of our trip, being Easter Friday, the night time temperature dropped quite significantly, and it put a strain on the electricity supply when those with EHU started to turn on their heaters to keep warm, resulting in the entire site losing its power on three separate occasions. The staff went round the site asking anyone who was still awake to turn their heaters down to a lower setting to preserve power after the first outage.
All in all, a pleasant stay and I have found another site that I would gladly return within 2 hours' drive from home.

We visited this site for five days over the Easter week.
The wardens gave a warm welcome on arrival and then showed us to our pitch.
We chose a grass pitch with EHU, the pitch was reasonably level and gave us great views of the Malvern Hills.
The site it self is well laid out with a couple of very clean and modern washblocks. The showers were the push button variety but gave a very decent amount of pressure.
There is a shop on site selling the basics but is only open at certain times of day.
The play park was well received by my 9 year old son and our dog enjoyed the dog walk.
We only experienced one negative on this site, when it became full on the Friday night, the electric for the site kept tripping. I mentioned this to the manager who said it was the fault of us caravanners for using too much power.
Nearby is the lovely village of Hanley Swan, also close is the very nice town of Great Malvern. Further afield but still a short drive away is Upton on Severn and Worcester.
I would definitely recommend this site and will return.

We stayed over the Easter week-end and were very pleased with our choice of site.
We arrived at the site to find the office closed and no one around, even though we had said what time we would be arriving. We found a number on our booking confirmation and called that, only to hear the phone ringing in the locked office. Someone arrived very soon and said there was no point calling it because they weren't there and that they were working close by and saw us arrive. We felt suitably put in our place.
The site is beautiful and quite large but was not crowded and the ablutions were spotless and I rarely saw anyone there. Super hot water all day long.
The barrier was stuck in the up position on our return to site one afternoon, with two wardens standing by it. We drove slowly towards the open barrier and the wardens and gave the barrier code over to the wardens, only to be told to use the key pad????
The view of the Malvern Hills is stunning and the surrounding area is beautiful. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll into Hanley Swan along a footpath where there is The Swan pub and a few village shops. Great Malvern and Waitrose is very close by.
A walkup to British Camp is a must. The car park is small but there was plenty of movement and we were able to park without a wait.
Beautiful site, beautiful area but would be nice if the wardens didn't have demonstrate their dominance all the time.

Seems the site managers were replaced in May 2014 by different sorts. We unfortunately booked on the 2013 reviews unknown to us the managers had changed within weeks of booking.
Arrived while the reception was closed well within our booking time, we were finally met by (the site manager!)
NAME! NUMBER! MEMBERS CARD! It was hard to tell if we were on a holiday site or in a detention centre.
The greeting was cold, miserable and very unwelcoming and extremely un professional.
Years of caravaning with both the C&CC also the CC club this warden has put us off booking with the C&CC.
If I could give any lower rating than 1 out of 10 I would have.

Stopped here for 2 nights for the nearby Busfest with my unusual combo of campervan plus puck. Very friendly and efficient welcome from the managers. We were shown to the pitch with no quibble as to how we wanted to align things. The facilities and the whole site were absolutely spotless, and whilst we came for a show there is lots to do in the area and we will come again especially after discovering the pub in Hanley Swan is dog friendly

Our first visit this year and we were very pleased with this site.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the shop had a range of basic foods such as bread, milk etc.
The kids loved the playground area and there was lots of space for them to run around.
The toilet blocks and recreation area were also kept very clean and tidy.
We had a lovely meal at the Swan in Hanley Swan and they have a play area in the garden for kids too.
Will definitely go back there again.

Stopped here on our journey up the M5, what a lovely find.
The site has pitches set amongst trees or in open fields and are well spaced out. The staff are very helpful and friendly, there is a small shop that stocks the camping basics and the toilet facilities were immaculate.
There is a lovely dog walk around the edge of the site.
Internet access is available throughout the site but you need to pay for the access code.
About a miles walk down the road is the village of Henley Swan with a good pub- good food, beer, wine and large garden.
Will definitely go back some time soon.

The site is very nice, very pleasant staff,
Toilet block very clean and well kept,
Transport a must very rural,
If you fancy a meal I would not recommend the bluebell at Malvern food very poor, also there are three pubs called the bluebell, the club staff recommended the bluebell at Ryall just past Upton on Severn, unfortunately no high chair for children and very miserable staff, so rude we just walked out with out ordering, finally found a great little pub in Upton on Severn, called the pie factory. Don't be put off by looks, food very reasonable price and very good quality. Nice roaring fire and great welcome from the lady who runs the pub.

Our first trip to the Malverns and despite the vagaries of the weather we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Firstly the Campsite, we are familiar with C&CC sites and therefore expect a certain standard but Blackmore exceeds others in almost every way.
Exceptionally clean facilities in beautiful surroundings with the additional bonus of the Malverns in the near distance. Great Malvern has everything you will need in way of supplies.
Upton on Severn is a few miles away and is worth a visit, some old buildings and a few shops to browse in.
Try the Bluebell Pub at Callow End for a meal out, great selection and quality food at reasonable prices.

Super welcome from managers, and lovely reception area. What a lovely relaxing site, a pleasant surprise and welcome after tackling the motorway.
2 toilet blocks, both spotless with more than enough loos and showers. Never had to queue.
Small play area suitable for toddlers and older children. Indoor activities room with tables and chairs.
Wonderful area with beautiful countryside. Lots of walks in the hills only minutes drive away.
A little gem of a site.
