Stayed here for two nights. Immacualte site with large, flat and well spaced pitches. Grass better than our lawn! We were directed to our pitch and welcomed warmly. Very pretty location in the orchard with apple trees all in full blossom. Spotless toilet/shower facilities. I really liked the fact that mop and bucket left to mop shower area after use, so no mud and grass left behind! Excellent play area and tractor for children.
We had glorious weather, and enjoyed the riverside stroll to pub, which served good food and welcomed us with three young children. Also visited Burford House with fantastic adventure play area for children, beautiful formal gardens, and well stocked garden centre. We also visited Ludlow castle - children loved all the climbing to be had.
Highly recommended site, we hope to return in August.

My wife & I have spent some of the summer touring on a motorbike & have visited this site twice this year as I grew up around this area & still have family locally. Of the many campsites we have stayed this summer this is without a doubt the best. A relatively small site in a beautiful setting this offers the peace & tranquillity we like. The site is completely level & immaculately maintained, beside a river & an orchard it really does offer a very relaxing environment. Compared with some of the truly awful facilities on some other sites the toilet & shower block is very clean with wash areas curtained off to offer privacy & there is even music playing. The owner is very friendly, helpful & accommodating & even though we were bikers made us feel welcome which we found is not always the case! There is a very nice pub just a short walk through the orchard & the local towns of Tenbury Wells & Ludlow offer all that you could possibly need. If you are looking for a peaceful, clean & well maintained site then I totally recommend that you visit this site. I use this site to evaluate other sites we stay at & up until now I have not found anything better !.

This is a very nice, peaceful site. We have just returned from a weekend at Westbrook Farm Park which was thoroughly enjoyable. The setting is very nice in an orchard and apples were in abundance at this time of year, but windfalls seemed to have been cleared away in most areas. As previous reviewers have said the grass pitches are in good condition, large and each has water tap, drain, EHU and TV aerial (EHU and TV are chargeable). The ground is level and I found no stones when knocking in my pegs, there are also hard standing pitches for caravans and camper vans which looked very well maintained. The toilet blocks (and wash-up) are very nice, clean & tidy but I would imagine a little small at busy times. The gents had 2 showers and 3 toilet cubicles plus urinals. Piped radio is a nice extra as are the individual basin cubicles. There was always soap and toilet paper when we visited. The showers cost 20p, but for this you get a nice hot (controllable) good pressure shower in a spacious cubicle - and 20p was enough for 1 shower in our experience. My kids loved the safe play area with climbing frame, roundabout, swings, seesaw and old tractor which was a favourite. There is also a basket ball hoop and football goals. Ball games are not allowed elsewhere on the site. As others have said the pub is 5 mins walk along the river to the main road. We found a warm welcome and good food. Eating in the bar our kids made use of the pool table and jukebox. The food really was very good! There is no shop at this site so you will need to head out for supplies or forgotten items. Tenbury Wells is about 3 miles away and has a general shop open into the evening, a number of pubs etc. Ludlow and Leominster are also close enough for some more intensive shopping and I would recommend Ludlow for a visit to it's castle, nice shops and when there, market. All of these benefits come at a cost: Firstly the prices are above average - a tent, 1 adult, 2 kids and EHU plus £3.00 late departure charge cost over £40 for 2 nights. Secondly in order to achieve the desired environment this site is obsessed by RULES. On arrival you follow the man on a bike to your pitch where you are told how you must locate your tent and where to park your car, "Doggie Buckets" are everywhere to clear up after your dog (a good thing IMHO), children must be accompanied to the toilet blocks (not enforced in our experience), BBQs must be placed on bricks, childrens play area is only open 9am - 9pm (my kids were sent away before 9pm because it was getting dark and told it was closed), No visitor cars past this point etc etc etc. Now these rules achieve a good standard on this site and I understand their purpose, but if you are not one to stick to rules then I would suggest you may want to think before visiting as there are more than usual and every tree trunk, notice board and wall has a little sign telling you what you must or mustn't do. Thirdly we did experience some noise from the nearby A456. All in all this is a very nice site which was enjoyed by both adukts and kids. It maintains a certain standard and that will appeal to many visitors. We will certainly have it on our list of places to return to as soon as possible.

Just recently come back from camping here. It is a really lovely place and I would definitely go here again. We went to the local pub both nights we were here - nice food. Just a couple of things to remember to take if camping, lots of 10p & 20p coins for the showers. Also we had a blow up bed which had a mains pump, but the power points here do not have standard sockets so you will need an adaptor plug (a round outdoor blue plug) for any power you need.

This is an incredibly neat, tidy, clean and well organised site. The toilets are immaculate, and the owners obviously take great pride in running the site. You do pay the price slightly though in lack of freedom - we were told off for parking our motorhome about 10" too far to the left! So it's not brilliant if you're in a group and want to be near other people. You also have to overcome the feeling that you're in 'campsite surburbia'. Showers were 10p for 6 minutes for women and 20p for 6 minutes for men!? There's a short walk along the river to a pub with good food - we sat with children in the bar area - it was a bit smoky, but we felt welcomed. The on-site play area isn't great for pre-school children. But a short drive away is Burford House Gardens which has one of the best play areas I've ever been to - in a lovely setting with a house, cafe, garden centre and formal gardens (you pay for the formal gardens but the rest is free).

Have just returned today from a weekend away at this lovely site. It is local to us and will hopefully become a regular. All facilities were spotlessly clean and pitches generously spaced. We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and were quickly helped onto our pitch. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in providing the best facilities for their guest's enjoyment.

Visited here at Easter 2006. We were the only tent there for the whole weekend (where were you all?!) and so it was very spacious and a good spot. The site is excellent, well looked after, and the loos, showers etc spotless. Its the first time I've had radio two piped in at a site, whilst I've had a shower! It also seemed to be a good site for kids with a good safe play area and a separate dog walking area. The pub is 5 Min's away along the river, although it is quite small in the bar and I imagine will get very busy in the summer. Tenbury is a 10 minute cycle away (nice along the back road) and Ludlow 10 Min's in the car. The downside? Well I'm afraid to say the cost has now risen to £16 per night just for a single pitch, with no electricity or anything. Its also still 20p for the shower and £2-00 per person if any friends visit! When my wife suggested that we might only stay a night or two, as the weather was unpredictable, the owner informed us that it was a three night minimum booking, this despite the fact we were the only tent there! So all in all a very good site, but you will pay slightly more than normal for it!

We love this place! Of all the sites we visit this is the one we all love ( 15 & 11 yr olds included ). Most kids would be bored if they can't entertain themselves though. Fortunately ours can. The pitches are very big for a tent, all with hook up if you want it. Picnic benches are around the site which you can move to your pitch if you want to make use. Toilets are warm, clean, odour free & have piped music. These are a credit to the owners.
There is no shop on site except for Gas. There is a pub on the bridge which is a pleasant walk through an orchard along the river but in high season you may have to pre-book to eat there. Shops are in Tenbury Wells 3 miles down the road. An excellent 'Chippy' which we look forward to every trip. Ludlow around 7 miles away & is a great day out. The Castle is cheap for a family.
If you are a river fisherman then this place will not disappoint. This is classic River Teme fishing. We would love to say this place is horrible just so that few people will go & so leave us there in peace ... but that is not fair because it is brilliant for those who want peace & tranquillity. 5 Star site.

June 2005 Just returned from this fantastic site. It was extremely well maintained, the toilets and showers were spotless. I loved being able to watch the kids in the park from our tent. We had no problems with noise from traffic or other campers. Can't wait to go back.

May 2005 We visited the campsite for the first time last weekend. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived, booked in and the owner (?) took us to see the pitch. We have a tent. The pitch was excellent and putting the pegs in was a delight, no stones etc. We even had our own water supplly but this is not surprising as most of the people staying were in caravans.
The toilet block was very clean and even had background music! There is a nearby pub but dont expect to eat in the restaurant unless you have booked beforehand. The food in the bar was fine though.
Any criticisms. Well £24 for two adults in a small tent for two nights was the most I have ever paid in over ten years. Charging 20p for the shower therefore seemed a little stingy. The noise from the nearby A road was at times quite loud and went on into the night, OK if you are in a caravan but not a tent. We also found that there was quite a lot of loud conversation around the site even after 11.30pm which in my opinion is usually not the case on campsites, it might be normal on Caravan parks though.
Overall, a good weekend.
