 We booked a last minute trip, and we weren't disappointed, there was no electric hook ups available but we survived ok,
The toilet facility's were very good and clean, and the views across the hills were brilliant especially when the sun was setting.
Was a bit disappointing as a couple of Van's had noisy generators running.
All in all a brilliant site for everything.

Fab stay, great site
Brilliant location near to all facilities, shops, bars, beach etc
Will certainly book again
Toilet and showers very clean, water hot, dish washing facilities excellent

I love Porthcawl it has everything in walking distance and staying here at the sandy bay high tide was great as you couldn't get closer to the beach.
On arrival going into the high tide to book in was pleasant but not very informative as the young girl assumed we’d stayed before just gave us the key and didn’t explain anything about the facilities etc. So I had to ask. Which was a bit disappointing.
But apart from that it was great The showers were brilliantly clean I was impressed how nice they were.
Toilets were clean but did get a bit messy from all day use as you can imagine. The campers on site were very friendly and we felt out caravan was very safe here.
We will definitely be back soon as it is a great location for us and our dogs.

We stayed for 5 nights (we ended up adding an extra one as we didn’t want to go home!) and this was our 3rd stay on the campsite.
Really good facilities, clean showers etc. Super friendly people also staying at the campsite which was a great bonus.
Customer service both for the camping and in the restaurant and bar was exceptional, in spite of the fact they were super busy on the Friday/Saturday in particular. We didn’t need an electric pitch but there were plenty for those who did want that.
The restaurant and bar have been renovated with an awesome outside space for drinks and food. The roof opens to let the sun in which is fab and well worth the investment.
Overall really impressed and have decided to come back in a few weeks and stay again.

Site well situated but lack of warden or some one in charge. Some had at least 3 cars parked in front. Dogs not all on leads.
Not enough toilets for amount of campers.

Stayed here for 3 nights with 2 x 9 year old boys, was ideal
Location close to the beach, Trecco bay and the fair and town
Showers and toilets were cleaned regularly
We were happy and probably book again

Love pitching on sandy Bay hitide
Close to everything
Shower blocks and toilets are very clean, could do with a couple of extra toilets especially when it's really busy though
But other than that it's a great site, really enjoyed.

Lovely campsite very clean and staff are so friendly
Food at Hitide was delicious
We will be going back
It is busy as expected so half term but they still followed all the covid rules

Got woke up 5:45 every morning by music and shouting at health and fitness centre
Other wise fine good location
Pitch no 4 next to barrier, very noisy as people came in and outm but only had to put up with it for three nightsm any longer I would of asked to be moved. pitch 4 also backs on to the carpark and next to washroom and toilets, so avoid pitch 4 if you want a quiet break
