Likes. Close to the beach, fair, places to eat, arcades. Parks, fast check in.
Dislikes. Not much room getting through the actual car park to the campsite barrier. Was crazy!
The pitch spaces need some TLC, it could be a great campsite.
The showers and toilets are the worst we have seen. Awful!

Easy access to and from Campsite to main porthcawl town approach road via your phob entry barrier release if taken a car or motorcycle or even your campervan.
Easy walking distance past the the fair ground onto towns large promenade.
You are literally on the beach which was for me ideal being a surfer and dog owner, dogs are allowed on the sands from 01st October to 30th April.
Site has showers, toilets, clothes washroom and sloosh room for those Potra Poties, and access to freshwater for filling up when required.
Nice spacing between pitches, so no problem if putting your awning down, and as I could see all pitches have electric hook up, so even if the site is nearly full you can always get connected.
And finally you have the Hi-Tide restaurant and Harbour Lights Bar for good food and drink, also free entertainment throughout the season.
TICKS ALL THE BOXES.

Basic no frills camp site. Large gravel pitches, portacabin toilets and showers were clean and tidy.
Very close to beech and amusement arcade. Lots of pubs and food outlets close to hand.
Short walk to town centre. Aldi supermarket close by.
For £28 per night you can't go wrong.

Love Hi Tide, there is plenty to do and beautiful beach.
We have a severely disabled child who does not cope well with noise.
But where are caravan was it was quiet and peaceful with stunning views.
Will definitely be returning.

Great location on the edge of the beach. Next to a funfair and a good range of activities and eating places.
About a 15 min walk to town. Lovely views, amazing sunsets.
But really woefully inadequate facilities for the number of pitches and for what they charge.
We are very unlikely to stay there again unless they do a lot to improve the facilities. And, because it was a very busy weekend, they opened the camping field as an additional car park, so, the already poor facilities were now being shared by all the day trippers.
