Hi Tide is close to the beach and lots of lovely walks. It's also close to the town and an Aldi which is handy to get your daily shopping needs.
The site itself could do with some upgrading, the toilets and showers are in very old demountables and are very tired, along with the kitchen area.
They do have a chemical waste point which again could do with updating and have water facilities for your van and drinking water.
Apart from that we did have a great stay there and enjoyed our time, we will be back because we love how close it is to the beach but will use our own shower to make it a better stay.

Great location for Porth Cawl. And the beach.
Relatively tidy site, could do with the grass cutting.
Flat pitches, bins emptied daily but the showers aren't the best. Push button with little water coming out and only stay on for a couple of seconds.

Great location for Porthcawl / walking distance to everything. Used it as a stay over for 10k race.
Maybe not enough showers and toilets if site full as only 3 female and 3 male showers and 2 toilets female. 2 male toilets. The key fob for the facilities was a good idea as I’m sure they would be used by others not staying on the site otherwise.
Check in lady very pleasant.
A small flyer outlining facilities would help as didn’t know where washing up facilities or toilet dump was and had to ask other site users.
When we checked out - no one was in the office for us to return key fob and get our deposit back

Could be better, check in was a breeze, site was close to beach, fun fair and bars,
Pitches were a bit rustic,
Only 3 men showers and 3 women shower in a portacabin, toilets in another but not enough facilities for campsite when full.
Fresh water taps not on a hard stand so everything got muddy and porta loo sluice sink was stinking.
I wouldn’t stay here again.

Easy booking process. We paid £30 for an electric plot and it was easy enough getting the keys.
You are required to pay £20 as a deposit for the key which you then get back at the end.
When we arrived after going to get food in the van someone else was in our plot so we had to go and get a different plot instead.
When talking to a worker for their help they weren’t the most helpful and was clearly stressed.
Other than this hiccup the area was clean, tidy and quiet.
Toilets and showers easy to use with your key fob for security.

Nice clean site. Beach in on your doorstep.
Close to the Arcade's, Funfair and High Tide bar and restaurant.
The toilets Are always heated and clean and so is the shower.

This site is well situated close to the beach
Toilet block clean and tidy, use a fob to get in
Only downfall is that if you are in gravel pitches, some pitches are uneven and it’s across the road, but you get what you pay for, ideal

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed.
All facilities were spot on, we were a stone throw to all we needed and required.
Showers were hot and clean.
