One of the nicest campsites we have ever stayed in! It's beautiful.
The site wardens are really nice, happy and helpful. When you arrive they show you to your area and let you know where everything is.
There is plenty of electrical hook-ups.
The toilets and showerblocks are perfect. Very clean, nice and warm and modern.
The pitches are beautiful and the warders check each pitch after its vacated to ensure that its litter free and no grass damage due to disposable BBQ's.
There is a pub about 2 minutes walk from the site which is reasonably priced, good food and also has a lovely beer garden.
This site is fantastic for kids. There is a large playground, a huge ball playing field, giant chess, small indoor games room, chickens and bunnies and even indoor swimming pools!

I had very mixed feelings about this site. We arrived early at 1100, this was due to a good start from our previous site and no road hold ups. We were made to wait 30 minutes for a member of staff to pitch us. We were then allowed on to site and left to find the pitch ourself. A warden arrived as we found our pitch. We did not see anyone else being pitched by staff
The pitch was the width of the awning and has no space for sitting or a BBQ. We were next to the main footpath through the middle of the site.
When you forget the above it is actually a very good site. After our initial problems with staff, they were extremely helpful. The toilets and showers are very clean and well designed. Most of the other pitches were very good with plenty of space. The Elsan points were good. The site had thought about wastewater and didn’t expect you to lift it a foot in the air. Good kids play area and very clean. Large play field with large chess and draughts.
The on site leisure centre is excellent. You hire the pool + steam room and bubble pool for an hour for £15+. I have two girls 10&13 and they loved it. The pool is of a good size and depth. Book your hour on arrival!
We visited Oxford, Witney and Abingdon. There is boat hire available locally and places houses to visit.
I would return to this site, but I would be pickier with the pitch on booking and not arrive before 1230.
Owner's comments:
1/ We ask customers not to arrive before 12.30.this is shown on our web site and paper confirmation, most customers understand this, as departing customers are leaving at up to this time . 2/ All our wardens are very busy attending to cleaning toilets, rubbish ,bins, and customers leaving, 3/ This customer arrived at 11am, when he came into reception ,our receptionist explained all of this and aked him to wait a short while, we still had 11 caravans leaving before 12 noon our departure time. 4/ I personally went on to our park to stop customers leaving so this customer could go onto the park earlier, I met and greeted this customer at the pitch and assisted him to push his van onto the pitch by 11.30 5/ He never mentioned at any time he was unhappy with the pitch, if he had given us the opportunity, we would been happy to have moved him, but he chose to remain silent.

Our aim was to hire a motor home and tour the UK for a week and this was undoubtedly the best stop. We stayed 3 days and thank God. Despite the rain (nobody's fault) this place had everything - and that's something you really have to think about in the UK.! the leisure pools, the bus stops right outside the park which took you to Witney or Oxford (2 days out covered off already)- there's something for everyone irrespective of the weather.
And the staff, well we travelled to a few parks during our trip, but the staff were superb here, nothing too much trouble, even delivery menus for local takeaways, freshly baked baguettes - need I say more.
And the local pub, surely the most important amenity. The Black Horse, absolutely excellent, not a quick chips and fish place, a vast array of food and home made on offer- and it actually is home made - curries, chillies, carvery, fish dishes etc etc.And a stones throw away. Please try it you'll know what we mean.
And lastly, the rest of the facilities - beautiful showers and toilets, and if you have children they even have rabbits and chickens for them to interact with! It's just absolutely immaculate.
We will definitely be back in the summer, oh yes and I forgot the shop, home from home. And everything for your tent or caravan - they even sell gas !
I could talk for hours, just try it, you won't regret or forget it

We visited this campsite and, like other reviewers, were very impressed with the facilities. Toilets and showers spotlessly clean, as were the leisure facilities. Fantastic to have use of fridge, freezer and microwave free of charge - luxury camping! Kids loved the playpark and watching the rabbits and chickens.
We were the only tent in the tent field for most of our stay, so room wasn't a problem. Our pitch did accommodate our large 8-man tent, but if you were visiting in high season I would imagine you could be rather cramped for space.
The staff were very friendly for the most part. This was the first outing with our new tent and it took us much longer than anticipated to get it down (not so much down, but packed away!), so we were late off our pitch. We were charged a late departure fee, which we expected but, given the fact we were the only tent on the site at the time, the accompanying lecture (on how they could have had someone waiting on that exact pitch etc) seemed a bit much.
All in all, a great little site and worth a visit

Thankyou April and Stephen for a friendly welcome. A lovely site by all accounts,Great play area on site, games room and other outdoor games available as well as 2x gorgeous swimming pools. A very high standard maintained at all times in the facilities blocks.
Our family ate at the Rose Revived though this was not the best of experiences. As the food took over 1 hour 20 mins to arrive owing to its popularity. A stunning location alongside the canal though.
Cannot praise the site highly enough and the care and attention to detail.Expect the site be busy when you are there !

We visited in October 2009 and had a fantastic week. The site is ideally situated to visit the Cotwolds and Oxford.
On arrival we were escorted to our pitch and the site manager helped me to un-hitch and settle in - very friendly.
The 2 swimming pools are fantastic, you can hire them so just your family has exclusive use of either pool for an hour at a very reasonable rate, about £14 per hour as I recall and the sauna and jacuzzi were first class - very welcome on a cold October day.
Nice pub in walking distance too.
Well worth a visit and we will definitely return.

We read the reviews on this site and were impressed; now having been, I have to say that it is difficult to praise this site enough. The toilet blocks are outstanding and the design of the site very simple but practical. You don't feel cramped in with others even though at busy times, you can be reasonably close. This is a very well kept site and the owners are very helpful and friendly. The pool(s) complex is excellent. We will definitely be back.

Had a fabulous weekend here. Mid October and it was full, so book in advance if you're planning a visit.
Reception were very friendly and by the time we got to our pitch, there were two men with walkie talkies to guide us in (only our second trip out with the van so this was much appreciated).
The shower blocks are warm and clean, not at all busy when I visited but that was later in the day.
You can rent one of the pools for around £15 an hour which was a great luxury and well worth the money. You get the pool, sauna and spa bath to yourself and my family loved this.
The shop seemed well stocked.
There is a nice children's play area and a snooker table and table football.
The Black Horse pub is right by the main gate of the site and serves great food - but you'll need to book a table as it was very busy when we were there.
Highly recommended, we'll be back for sure.

We visited this campsite 1/09/09 for five days, I can't rave enough about the site & all of the staff everything was fantastic, and the whole place always spotlessly clean. And they were very welcoming to our well behaved Staffordshire bull terriers. The private leisure facility hire was a real plus.

Only one word to describe this site.Excellent.
The tenters area is separate at the far end of the site. Enough pitches for about 15 or 16 tents. Large size pitches and well sheltered area. There are 2 kitchen areas with microwaves, fridge and freezer for use free of charge. There is also an outdoor seating area if you don't want to sit in your tent to eat.
Staff are super friendly, even came to see us when we were putting up tent to give us a tour of the facilities. The toilets and showers are the best we have come across. Individual cubicles with shower and sink in and spotlessly clean. There are also 2 indoor swimming pools that can be hired privately if you want. These are very clean and include a spa pool, sauna and steam room.
There is a pub outside the camp, The Black Horse. The food here is excellent. There is also a village shop that sells everything you could want. We would certainly recommend this site to anyone.
