May 2003, June 2003 I can only echo all the other statements made here - a peaceful, well kept site.. Highly recommended.....
But remember to book your pool session when you book your pitch....

May Bank Holiday week, 2003 Situated on the A415, 5 miles south of the market town of Witney, Standlake in Oxfordshire is a charming, rural village that exudes character.
The village is home to less than 1,300 inhabitants and its most notable feature is the River Wundrush, which flows through the village and joins the Thames at Newbridge, some 2 miles to the south. It’s about 15 minutes from Burford (the gateway to the Cotswolds) and the city of Oxford is less than 20 minutes away.
I had high expectations of Lincoln Farm Park. Amongst other accolades, it was credited with the AA 2002 Overall Winner, Best Park in the UK, is a Best of British site and the Alan Roger’s Inspected and Selected Campsites Guide described it as ‘quite outstanding.’
An air of tranquillity greeted me as I drove into the reception area, which is situated alongside tall trees and mature shrubs. As I observed some children playing on the 9-hole putting green and others with the outdoor chess and draughts, I felt a sense of instant belonging. I immediately felt that my two boys, aged 11 and 12, would like it here.
I registered at the reception building, which I later discovered also housed a sizeable leisure facility. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the reception also doubled as a well-stocked, convenience store offering the usual array of campsite necessities including bread, milk and throwaway barbecues.
Lincoln Farm Park is a level, grassy and secluded site, nestled in 9 acres of landscaped farmland. All of its 89 pitches have 10/16A electricity and 22 are fully serviced (mains water, drainage and satellite TV). The site welcomes caravans, motorhomes (inc. American motorhomes) and tents. The pitches range from adequate to large in size and some are more secluded than others. The pitches near to the children’s playground tend to be more open and, being close to the playground, can get a little noisy at times.
The playground is of the large, adventure type with barking and rubber laid as appropriate. There are no signs displaying opening times, though, and I was disturbed twice by children whose parents appeared to consider it reasonable for them to use the playground as early as 7am. Quite unfair, although the fault of the parents not the Park I must stress. A sign clearly displaying opening and closing times, however, would be prudent in my opinion. Of course, none of this matters unless you are occupying a pitch within ‘The Willows’ area of the Park, which is in close proximity to the playground. If you prefer a quieter location, ask for a pitch nearer to the reception, most of which are set in beautiful woodland, well separated and are very quiet indeed.
Dogs are welcome provided that they are kept on a lead at all times. Two, small walks are channelled into the perimeter of the Park although these are only long enough to give your dog a quick run off its lead. There are, however, ample walks in close proximity to the Park.
The facilities offered by the Park are quite remarkable. The leisure centre offers the choice of two, indoor pools. One is completely clad in pinewood and, with the addition of carefully placed soft lighting, boasts a rather pleasant ambience. It contains a small spa pool and sauna while the second pool offers all of the above plus a steam room. Use of these facilities is subject to a separate tariff (£3/adult £1.50/child) and public swims are restricted to twice a day (0900-10:30 and 16:00-17:30). Outside of these times, the facilities can be privately booked by the hour for a modest charge (£13-£16). The pools did get quite busy during my stay and it was impossible to enjoy a swim during the afternoon sessions due to the number of children using the pool. I did try to hire the facilities privately but all sessions had been pre-booked. I must stress that I visited during a busy Bank Holiday week. Nonetheless, it would be advisable to pre-book if you want to be sure of using the facilities.
The sanitary facilities comprise of two separate blocks at either end of the park. Both are heated, immaculate (amongst the best I’ve ever seen) and tastefully decorated. Piped music provides for interesting sensory enjoyment to complement the showering experience and free hot water is in plentiful supply. Self contained shower units with enclosed washbasins and ample dressing areas are of notable mention. Family bathrooms and baby changing rooms are also available. Disabled facilities are well provided with a direct access pitch next to one of the blocks. Washing up facilities are of equally well-maintained standards and also provide free hot water. Microwaves, freezers, chemical disposal points, motorhome service point, battery charging and laundry facilities are also available.
Just outside the Park (2 minute walk), there is a local, friendly pub serving good food and beverages. A little further a field (2 miles), there are two pubs adjacent to each other on either side of the bridge over the River Thames. The Rose Revised pub rents out pedalo-gondolas by the hour for use on the river and, although I didn’t find the staff particularly welcoming, The Maybush offers good quality food, served on the patio alongside the riverbank. There is a Thames path that runs adjacent to the pub, great for general walking or excising your dog. As the weather was particularly pleasant during my stay, I spent an afternoon on the riverbank with my family and even took a swim in the river. I felt like I’d just dived into a Famous Five book and needless to say, we had a rather smashing time with lashings of ginger beer. Well, alright, it was more like Sauvignon Blanc, but you get the picture.
Lincoln Farm Park is deserving of its accolades. It is a charming, well-maintained site in the heart of Oxfordshire offering a good base for exploring the area. It is a site where couples with and without children can live in harmony and I wouldn’t think twice about going back again. Typical Pitch Charges (High Season): Pitch including unit and 2 adults and electricity £14.95 Child (5-14yrs) £1.50 Dog £0.75

May 2003 All the comments above are a true reflection of the quality of this park.
The only thing that I feel must be emphasized is that the swimming is only open to general use for two hours of the day (9-10am & 4-5pm). Outside of these times it is only available for private hire in one hour slots.
The benefit of this I only discovered on the last day of our visit when we managed to secure a cancellation; all having a thoroughly enjoyable hour complete with beach ball, lilo & water guns.
We will definately be revisiting this park, but will ensure that we pre-book several swimming sessions at the same time as we book our pitch.

March 2003 This site is so good. If anyone visits Lincoln Farm Park as a first time ever experience of caravan sites they will surely be disappointed by any others.

July & Aug 2002 I loved this site so much so we have been twice in a month. I agree with everything already said about the site. Would just like to say about the stockcars, they raced on bank holiday monday, you could just hear them but were not annoying. The pub near the park gate is excellent, good food and very good beer.

August 2002 I agree with the comments above. A great site with lots of added value features such as free microwave and fridge / freezer - ideal for tent people.
The Pools have 2 'general swim' sessions a day with rates about the same as a normal public pool. You can also book the pools for yourself (and family!).
There are family bathrooms for hire but the normat private shower rooms were ideal.
Staff friendly and it was nice to see the 'Utility' man doing the rounds of kitchens, bin areas and loos on a regular basis.
Kids play area was great(designed for under 15's) but got a bit full in the evenings.
One word of warning there is a stockcar circuit on the opposite side of the village, I am not sure what the sound will be like during an event see http://www.standlakearena.co.uk/
Great site but book.

Its got 89 pitches (including 22 super pitches) in 8 acres, most are set in their own bays a bit like continental sites.
It has two, yes two indoor swimming pools complete with spa pools saunas and steam room, a fitness suite and toilets that I will be definitely nominating for LOO of The Year award (piped music comes on as you enter!.. unbelieveable)
Pitch Fees off season specials February and November £5.50 a night.....rising to £12.95 high season...
Staff incredibly helpful and friendly.
Pubs and local shop within spitting distance....I'll shut up or I'll never get in again..
Susan Sammons adds:
I have just returned from e very enjoyable week at Lincoln Farm Park. Like Colin, we found the facilities outstanding. The park was clean and tidy and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The children enjoyed the playground, putting green etc and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings (apart from the birdsong at 5am!) We went cycling and walked along the Thames Path as well as swimming in one of the parks pools. There are a lot of places to visit in the area and we particulary recommend Cogges Manor Farm Museum (good for Victorian projects!) and The Cotswold Wildlife Park was brilliant as was Didcot Railway Centre.
The park was fully booked when we left so make sure you book in advance.
