I'm sure that you'll have read all the other positive reviews on this forum and all that I can do is add to the praise.
From the moment we arrived we had a great weekend. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The site is spotlessly clean and the toilet blocks really were the cleanest and nicest that I have found. Our 4 year old thought that the well equipped play area was great and the kids, 4 & 14, me and my girlfriend all loved the swimming pool/ spa/sauna.
We had a good sized pitch, but some looked a little small. Having said that they ask for the size of your outfit when you book and so, I'm sure, allocate them on that basis.
Overall, great and I will be going back again soon.

We stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed the swimming pool which we booked for our children. The toilets were the best we have seen in over 27 years camping. With piped music to listen to when washing!
We had an electric hook up and a stone pitch which was the only grumble as was quite hard on feet in a tent. Would we stay again yes we would. Expect to stay in 2010 for a long weekend

This is a small site managed by a pair of couples, who are very friendly and work hard to keep the site to a first class standard.
Extremely well kept facilities (the price reflects this of course), reception / shop open 8am to 8pm daily. Two pubs and village shop within 100m of site.
The site does have it's own landscaped games field and mini golf course, plus 2 indoor pools and a sauna which can also be booked for private sessions.
On the down, site is in middle of nowhere with not much to do within walking / cycling distance. Childrens play ground is fairly small, and you can bike around the site in a couple of minutes.
The tent field can get a bit mucky, and if you happen to get put in the caravan area, you may find yourself sleeping on gravel.
They need £10 cash deposit for the barrier key.
All in all, would definitely recommend this campsite if in the area.

Spent five nights at this campsite and it was wonderful. The owners are very helpful and friendly, the pitches spacious and picturesque. The toilet/shower blocks were the best and cleanest I've seen at any campsite. The pools were great, and must be a saving grace in bad weather. We had great weather but still went for early morning swim. The shop well stocked, good nearby pub (did not eat there tho just had drink!)It is set in a pretty village and a gorgeous part of the uk. Would return definitely!

Well what a site this is.
We arrived twenty minutes before the 12.30 check in time and instead of the usual frowns and comments you get at most sites we were greeted by the friendliest and the happiest lady that we have met on a camp site. We were told exactly how to find our allocated fully serviced pitch to such a degree that we didn't even need the map provided.
The instant impact that the sight has is a joy and it resembles an arboretum rather than a camp site. Our pitch was more than adequate in size and a huge plus was that the owners provide a hose, grey waste pipe and tv aerial without the need to unpack your own.
As others have said the toilet block is as good as you can possibly get and the showers have loads of space. The indoor swimming pools and saunas etc are well used and kept spotless. The local pub is well worth visiting and the beers and food is superb. One not though is that I heard that the owners are changing soon so it would be good to think that their standards are maintained. We caught the local bus into Oxford for a days shopping and spent another day at Blenheim Palace.
This is without doubt the best site that we have visited and we would recommend that you give it a try.

Just come back from 1 week at this site. Really nice spacious clean site with friendly helpful staff. I'm not so sure about the set up with the swimming pools, as there is only 2 x 90 minute sessions a day for open swimming which we found restricting. (other than that you could hire the pools to use but with only 3 of us this worked out an expensive option. This is the first campsite I've been to where the pool is not included in the price of the camping) Nice pub well within walking distance. My dog spent the entire week trying to get the chickens/rabbits although it's a nice touch for the kids.

Our second visit of the year, this time we went with family and had 2 pitches together, which were in their own little area which was perfect. It had been a very wet week but dry the day we arrived and the pitches were not overly wet so everywhere looked clean and tidy.
As always the shower blocks and swimming pools were kept immaculate.
We will be back again soon

We booked this site as it was a Best of British and, as usual, we were not disappointed. It is mostly for caravans (74 pitches I think) but there are about 16 pitches for tents, with what looked like a special area for groups in tents. Pitches were very generous - we've got a big tent (8x7.5m) and there was plenty of room. They've got drainage squares which makes it a bit uncomfortable on the feet in the tent (perhaps take slippers?) but does stop too much mud. It had been raining all morning when we arrived and there was some mud on the pitch but it wasn't too bad.
The owners and staff couldn't have been friendlier, or more helpful and always seemed to be on the go cleaning, tidying and emptying recycling and rubbish.
I would recommend that if you can request a tent pitch number that you go for 75-80 as these were the ones that got the morning sun. Most of the caravan pitches were fenced off with hedges or fences and seemed to offer a lot of privacy.
My little boy loved the play area and looking at the chickens and rabbits in their quite luxurious houses!
As per previous reviews, dawn chorus starts early, we also heard noise from nearby military airfields but that was infrequent and only in the day.
The local pub, Black Horse, was great. They had a band on the Saturday night we were there and all tables were reserved for the evening, but they happily let us use one for an afternoon drink.
Just down the road is the River Thames (I think the place is called Newbridge) with two pubs and lovely walks. Customer service in both pubs was appallingly bad and the food in the one over the bridge (rather than the Rose Revived where there were a lot of plates of food being left) seemed to be better. Lovely place to sit and have a drink and watch the world go by and you can also hire a little boat if you fancy a trip.
All in all, a great site which we will definitely be returning to.

This was our first full outing after upgrading from Tent to Tourer Van and we were full of trepidation. Shouldn't have worried. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our pitch, we were helped in every way possible with best way to pitch, help with levelling (although site dead level)and anything else they could do with awning etc. This site will totally spoil you from any other site.It is absolutely immaculate and the toilet block is spot on 5 star. The leisure facilities are wonderful and we were able to privately hire by the hour the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Very nice for couples. The children's play area was also superb and although lot of children on site, quiet very early. Fantastic pub 2 mins walk from site entrance with very good food indeed with last orders 9pm. Very good location to use for RIAT. Only 20 mins away from Park and RIde for Oxford which was excellent.

We are not experienced campers, this was only our second trip with our kids (6,4 & 3), but this site made our holiday.
On arrival the staff were very helpful and followed us over to our pitch to assist positioning our TT. There was a barrier between reception and the camping area which means all traffic has to slow down so the kids were safely evicted from the car after an 8hr journey to roam around and find the playground.
Pitches are gravel, so no muddy shoes trailing straight onto groundsheet, with a very spacious grassy area surrounding.EHU and Water closeby and toilet block not far from any pitch.
The toilet block itself was superior in design and cleanliness. Cubicles with washhand basins, a cloth adjacent to sink to clean up after yourself, I think most people did so as I never entered a cubicle that wasn't immaculate. In the main block there were 6 showers cubicles with washhand basin, a mop and bucket between two showers to clean up.
Dish washing area behind toilet block was also immaculate and adjacent to the animals, which thoroughly entertained the kids whilst I did the dishes. Also in this area was a microwave and a freezer, the laundry was also close by. Everything exceptionally clean.
The laundry is where I have one wee gripe. The washing machines are top-loaders and you really need to use a liquid detergent. My first load came out much as it went in, only slightly damper, but reception gave me another token to try agin and advised on liquid. Better, but not the best. £3.20/wash £1.50/dryer.
Play area was a major hit with kids, not huge, but more than adequate and safe.
The swimming pools are very good, and although I initially thought that hiring it soley for our use was a bit extravagant, I changed my mind as £15 for the 5 of us to get the place to ourselves was great. The hour is very tight though, as they like you out in time for a quick clean before the next party go in.
The shop was ok, internet use a touch expensive, but I have learned since that its a standard price.
The village is lovely, very picture postcard, worth the short walk through the village to the church. There is a post-office with general store which has everything the shop onsite doesnt have. The only pub open during our visit was The Black Horse, only had a drink one evening and didn't eat, so cant really comment.
Did eat at The Rose Revived at the bridge along the road a bit, nice pub, lovely location and had a kids playarea. Food was ok, I expected better though. Just along from the pub you can hire motor punts for a wee trip along the Thames. Very nice, £20/hr.
Advice from staff onsite was very accurate and helpful re getting into and around Oxford. Park and ride is the way.Just remember to get off the bus!
All in all we had a great week here, will def return. This is a fabulous site, the only draw back is that every other site from now will pale in comparison, we have been spoiled by the quality of this site!
