This campsite is one of the most amazing places to stay, Ray the owner is an absolute legend ! Park up respectively where you like and enjoy the atmosphere, everyone on the campsite is super friendly and really made it something to remember, campfires, good conversation and acoustic sounds are memorable meeting up with fellow campers on site.
Facilities are all you need for a comfortable stay, simplistic toilets and no charge hot showers, washing up area, water, elsan point. Firewood available on site.
Location is stunning within walking distance of the doone valley and tea room, however the National trust owned tea room is a little disappointing, there are better places to eat! So take a packed lunch and go yonder and find yourself a stunning picnic spot by the stream.
Access this place is remote and I recommend that you are prepared to sacrifice reading a good book to good conversation as there is no phone signal coverage being deep in a valley.
The lanes here are steep, winding and hilly I would recommend small campervans accessing the campsite and entering from the left as its a tight turn towards the doone Valley, ensure you take the A39 turnoff into leeford over the bridge turning left for easy access.
I do not recommend large motorhomes taking this route either way you may get stuck!
Take a map or use all trails for from this location for a picturesque walks, you won't be disappointed!

Can't rate this place highly enough!
Perfect for what I needed: simple field setup, located near lots of walking and small towns, friendly atmosphere, basic facilities and reasonably priced.
Ray, the farmer, is a real gent who visits the farm regularly throughout each day. He can provide logs and great advice for the local area.

Lovely site, next to a babbling stream to wade in or swim in up river. Adequate facilities, always hot water for showers. Ray is very friendly and helpful with tips of the area.
Fires are welcome and Ray can provide logs. Beautiful local river walk to Watersmeet and Lynmouth.
My only recommendation would be a rule about playing music ie don't allow it! (I love music but not always other people's choice)

Pleasant, peaceful, flat site; with babbling brook running alongside.
Beautiful views up the sides of the valley.
Grass cut short, good for keeping interior of motorhome clean.
Facilities basic, but clean.
Farmer very chatty and amiable.
Look forward to going back there again.
Road to site is very narrow for a motorhome.

Great site, great facilities and fab for dogs.
The owner is super friendly and helpful about walks and nearby facilities.
You can have campfires and the owner comes around with logs to buy if you wish.

Great site, great owner, Ray was an absolute gent, 1st time at this site in the beautiful valleys of our beloved Exmoor.
This will definitely be our go to campsite on Exmoor from now on! Toilets, showers, fridge, freezer and electric hook up opposite the river side.
Love love love.

We are used to bigger more commercial sites but always loved this area and were looking forward to staying here.
It was everything we hoped and more, we pitched on riverbank and it was perfect.
Facilities are fine everything as you would hope. As previous reviews say Ray is a great bloke very friendly and welcoming.
Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful pleasant break especially as no internet or phone signal,

Great location, we stayed in the first smaller field.
Surrounded by trees and a river- and camp fires allowed!
Very quiet and relaxed vibe.
Really friendly owner, can’t wait until our next trip back 👍

Beautiful campsite, but only two toilets and two showers (one not working), would not fancy queuing for the toilets if it was even slightly busy.
Lovely and peaceful, beautiful river and walks.
