I found this campsite on this site and am glad I did, I needed a stop off on my way to Cornwall and as it was last minute and the bank holiday I was struggling to find one.
This site is a simple turn up there was plenty of room and the owner soon turned up when I arived about 9pm we paid him £19 for the night with electric. We woke up in the morning a saw what a lovely spot it was, our daughter loved paddling in the river.
There are 3 toilets and 2 showers it was enough for the people that were there, but if it was busy it could become a problem having to wait, but they were all clean and tidy.
We stayed another night on the way back and if I'm down that way again I will visit again.
We didn't have any issues with the site at all a great campsite.

We´ve just returned from camping at Leeford farm, and it was a wonderful site.
If you want lots of mod-cons, it´s not for you, but if you want a lovely (flat) field next to a little river, in a very peaceful place in the valley, it was perfect.
There was a clean toilet block (3 toilets, a hot shower, and 2 washing-up sinks)and cost 6 pounds per adult, and 3 pounds for children, dogs free.
There was a pub 5 minutes walk down the road with Exmoor beer, a riding stables nearby, and all the walking or cycling routes you could possibly need.
Due to the river it´s great for older kids, but probably a bit of a worry if you`ve got very young ones. I recommend it.

We came across this lovely campsite last weekend and what a find!
The site covers two large fields beside the river just to the East of the village of Brendon. There are no formalities we just turned up and selected our own pitch and it wasn't long before the farmer and owner Ray Floyd appeared in his Land Rover to welcome us.
The site was nice and quiet in lovely countryside and there is a clean shower block and toilets with plenty of hot water and the grass was well trimmed, the whole place look natural but well looked after. Though we didn't use them we saw that there was electric hook up's. Ray was also happy to supply logs and there were no restrictions on camp fires
We found a pub within walking distance and there was a tea garden serving good grub, which had a BBC Countryfile Britain's Best Cream Teas award - they were yummy. The fishing village of Lynmouth is about three miles away and the Valley of Rocks at Lynton is well worth a visit.
We can't wait to go back and certainly recommend it!

We spent one night at this very basic site and had a great time. We pitched close to the river, and had a fabulous fire too. We walked into Brendon and had a very good evening meal.
On our visit the grass was quite long, which didn't bother us because the weather was dry. The site didn't have a shower, just a couple of toilets and sinks. As I remember no washing up facilities and just a shed where rubbish was kept (revolting) Luckily we were camped well away from this area.
It cost us £10 per night which was collected by 'Farmer Ray' a few hours after we had arrived, he seemed like a nice chap.
We would visit again but it would be a last minute decision if the weather is dry! The area is beautiful and the actual village is a very typical pretty Exmoor village.
