Seriously this campsite is spotless so much care and attention given to provide a high standard,
Outside the campsite is bus stops going either way and long range X53, through Poole or Bridport and further.
Excellent public house across the road with delicious food plus a farm cafe again excellent food.
I can’t rate it high enough. Well done 👏

From the start to finish this site was perfect for us. All the staff were very friendly. The pitches are fabulous. The site is very clean and the toilets and showers are spotless.
Everyone on the site were in high spirits as the weather was great. There were a few party's of people enjoying themselves but respectfull of other campers.
The area was fabulous with a nice pub, The Kings Arms around the corner plus a lovely cafe that sells wonderful produce.
We had a great walk from the campsite to Hardys monument, this had amazing views.
It's about a 20 minute drive to Weymouth which is a very nice seaside town.
Wish I was back there. We can't wait for our next visit. 😍

Very clean toilets and showers with well spaced pitches.
It was gated with rising bollards to block entry and departure but these were activated by the van's registration plate. Very clever.
But I still think £23.50 is too steep for a small van (Mazda Bongo) to stay on a piece of grass without electric hook-up. Just these mad times, I guess.

Despite reading many good reviews about this campsite, we were disappointed with our stay here.
Firstly, the good points :-
Attractive area around the entrance.
The facilities were modern and always kept very clean.
Secure entry to the site with number plate recognition ( no code to remember)
Good exercise field for dogs
Milk vending machine
Good location.
Staff were friendly
Quiet at night
Negative points :-
We found it to be quite bland and more like a car park.
No contact with staff on arrival as pitch number already sent via email.
Pitches in centre of site were very crowded
No hedges or plants to divide pitches or areas, these were only around the entrance
One corner of the site, where we staying on a fully serviced large pitch, had no WiFi.
This area is also close to the B road so traffic noise was an issue during the day.
Poor road services around the site.
A large number of pitches were seasonal with no one staying on them.
Charges far too high for standard of site.

Great peaceful site. Facilities are excellent.
Toilets and showers are spotless. Poor tv reception in this area but wi-fi connection was good so able to watch tv.
We would thoroughly recommend and would visit again.
We gave a child friendliness 1 as we had no children so can’t comment

Very clean and quiet site (though we were there on the quieter week of Easter). No problem with noise except for the crows.
It's a site in a valley with good walks up to Abbotsbury and the surrounding hills.
Great field to walk dogs and ours lived the rabbits. We enjoyed the on site milk and coffee machines.
Toilets etc very modern and kept clean with maybe 3 cleans a day. Staff very friendly.
Registration number recognition made for easy and secure coming and going.
Pitch size excellent for a small caravan, gazebo and pup tent.
Beautiful weather made for a superb experience.
Within easy access of Weymouth.

A lovely site in a picturesque village with access to many Dorset towns and villages.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
The showers were powerful and well-maintained. All the toilets were clean and fresh.
This is a site we would definitely return to when we're next in the area.

Portesham Dairy Farm campsite is excellent. From the registration number controlled entrance to the automatic hand basins and the extra hose in the showers for washing particular areas, everything is so well thought out.
And in spite of a previous reviewer complaining at the cost we found it quite reasonable at £17. 50 per night on a hardstanding pitch with EHU.
Not only was the campsite brilliant, but the village boasts a superb pub with excellent food and the best farm shop (really a cafe/deli) we have visited, both easy within walking distance.
The reception staff were available all day and were lovely.
We will be back!
