Our 4th visit here in 6years {no visit '20/'21} due to Covid}. Visiting with our Car Owners Club.
We had 3 nights in the Rally Field, and were then asked to move to the campsite for the remaining three nights. This was no bother in a caravan, as the site is only over the road from the Rally Field, but it would have been a pain with a tent or trailer tent.
The grass is kept well cut, in both the Rally Field and the campsite, and the pitches are a good size, and not too close together.
WE found the staff friendly {as always}. The toilet block looked to have received a bit of an update since 2019, and is kept clean & tidy.
The food is very good in the nearby "Grouse Inn" and whilst there we visited the Pontycysylt {sp?} Aqueduct, took a train ride into Llangollen, the nearby village of Corwen has some pleasant little shops, Llyn Brenig Reservoir, and we did a days dash to Angelsey {some 50+ miles away}
We're looking forward to next years visit, as it seems to have become an annual trip.

This site is in a quiet location despite being just off the main road.
The location is beautifully situated in a valley about 2 miles east of Corwen and with the River Dee a 2 minute walk away, which, in the summer at least, offers a fantastic playground for the kids.
On the hill overlooking the river is the Grouse Inn which has a nice menu appealing to varied tastes.
There is plenty in the area to keep us all busy with lovely walks on the adjacent woodland! Facilities are good and well organised.
Pitches are generally level although the site is on a slight slope.
Will definitely revisit in the future!

Terrific little site which provides the perfect base to explore and walk to your hearts content.
Decent size pitch with amenities close by. Never had to queue for showers or loo.
Warm welcome on arrival.
Highly recommended.
There is a pub close by that serves food but can't comment as we did not go.

Love the location, less than a minute off the main A5 but feels like the middle of nowhere. We didn't hear any road noise, very quiet and peaceful.
A couple of minutes minutes walk to the steam railway, river and the village pub.
The site is well run, great warden and clean facilities.
It does seem a bit bleak for some reason. Pitches are a bit rough and need clearing up as does grass, bits of old rope separate pitches.
Hardstanding pitches aren't the largest, the grass area has more room.
It is a clean site but needs a freshen up and will be even better.

Nice Quiet well maintained site with friendly staff, facilities kept clean,
Close to Cowen for shops and central to explore Wales.
Pub within walking distance and dog friendly.
Carrog Steam train wasn't running when we were there but the station is just over the road.
Pitches aren't overly large and you may struggle if you have a large van.
We would return

Nice site split up into different fields so never felt crowded, nice staff,
Central to Llangollen and Bala lake.
Could do with a small play area for kids.
All in all really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Yet again a well maintained site.
Toilet/showers have been upgraded from our last visit, and pleased with them.
Nice quite site within walking distance of local pub and Lanngollen Railway Station, across the road.

Great location, nice big pitches in beautiful surroundings, great for local walks and the steam train from Carrog which we took into Llangollen.
No traffic noises from our pitch however there was a big group of multiple families sharing our field and they were extremely noise past 10. 30 which was a shame, especially as the site claim noise after 10 would be dealt with. Spoilt our peace and quiet for 2 of the 3 nights.
Only complaint would be the cleanliness of the toilets, the toilets themselves were very dusty, especially on top of the cistern (where you flush the toilet) Bit concerning they weren't being cleaned thoroughly not least of all because of covid.
Despite this, mainly due the location and beautiful views, we would return here.

Wife and I stay here for a few days, showers are big, easy to get dressed in, hot water but you do need to keep on pushing the button.
Lovely views, Corwen 4 miles away with a shop selling food and drinks, and a few pubs. Back at the site.
No noise after 10 pm at all. A short walk to the river and pub with nice views a good range of beers etc menu a bit short reason covid 19. Tea room over the lane from the campsite.
Will be going again

Really enjoyed our stay at the Station Campsite at Carrog. We booked last minute and managed to get the last available pitch with a hookup so we weren't expecting much but it was lovely.
The pitch was spacious and level and the facilities were well thought out. The chap in the office very kindly put us close to the toilet and shower block as my husband is disabled.
The site was tidy and clean and everyone respected the quiet time. The fire pit for hire was a brilliant idea. Absolutely delightful surroundings and just a short walk to the local pub with the best view of the river on the covered terrace.
We even got fresh eggs for breakfast next door.
We will definitely be booking this site again.
