Visited here for three nights mainly to meet up with family and spend time with our two little granddaughters. What a lovely holiday park, we were very surprised to see how neat and tidy everywhere was, clean and well kept.
A bonus for us was the short level footpath to the beach which was also a lovely surprise and perfect for sand castles and fun!
The swimming pool was next on my list to try, also a positive experience, water was warm and plenty of choices of where to swim. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Thorpe Park.
This was our first outing in our tourer since having a 3 year break. We bought the caravan last October and it went straight into storage.
We have never stayed at Thorpe Park before and didn't know what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised.
The park is very easy to find as it is one of only about 3 camp sites in Cleethorpes.
Upon arrival we found the touring reception as the park is well signposted, Check in was very easy and we were told to choose our own pitch, there were plenty on offer as the touring section is quite large, We chose pitch 71 close to the shower block and touring reception. We were on a grass pitch which was a bit soggy due to the weather being a bit rubbish.
The pitches are large and very well spaced out. Our caravan is 23 ft and we had an awning. There was plenty of space for both as well as parking at the other side of the caravan.
The drinking water tap was a bit wobbly and took some aiming to fill the aquarolls without getting soaked, but I managed it ok.
The shower block was clean and warm, the showers are the usual push button for 30 seconds of water type. The water from the shower is not controllable and is very hot to the point of being uncomfortable, I wouldn't have put my 6 year old son under it.
Pot washing facilities are under cover and have large sinks. Take your own wash bowl or plug though.
Elsan waste point is in the same block and is as clean as you would expect. There is a 10 Pound deposit for a shower block key.
The touring site is a 5 minute walk onto the Humberston beach, which is made up of Dunes and a boggy area as well as the sand. I went on at 8 am every morning apart from one with the dog and it was a great place to be, other dog walkers, No dog mess in sight so credit to the beach users with dogs for cleaning up after their dogs. Dogs are not allowed on Cleethorpes main beach and not many other places in Cleethorpes.
The tide was out at 8-9 am and when we went back on at 1pm it was only just a bit further in.
The Funworks entertainment block is a short walk from the touring site and is the same as any Haven site. Walk through the arcades to get to restaurant and entertainment, drag money out of you before you sit down to eat or watch the shows.
The carousel bar served nice food at fair prices. We didn't use Papa Johns pizza place this visit but usually enjoy them.
The entertainment was average, and in fairness the staff work hard for little pay, it seems the same standard no matter where you go, you get one singer that is ok but thinks that theyre better, one singer who is ok but doesn't show much interest, a dancer who cant keep to time and one that is clearly wasted on a holiday park, It keeps the kids entertained and lets the parents sit and have a drink so it's not all bad.
The swimming pool is a good size but the water is freezing cold and you only just warm up whilst you are in it. The locks on the changing room cubicles are terrible and you are forever getting folk pushing the door and they come open, these really do need attention.
Staff on the park were friendly and helpful wherever you were.
Eating out off the park, travel about a mile down the road (follow signs for Mablethorpe) to the Pear Tree, they do a 2 for 1 meal offer and the food is fantastic.
We only had a short stay here and the weather was a mixed bag, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in future maybe for a longer stay.

Just home after a three day stay with our two year old granddaughter. Weather apart, this was one of our best trips ever. Booked a serviced euro pitch and was given a choice of the remaining pitches. First pitch chosen proved to be too muddy and wet. A look around and a more suitable pitch was found.
The site is typical Haven fare, and with our granddaughter with us absolutely perfect. The staff were all cheerful, helpful and a credit to Haven. Entertainment for children is first rate and the facilities as good as anywhere we have stayed previously.
As stated in earlier reviews, the Spar shop is expensive, and the cost of the additional sport/recreational sessions would soon mount up. The cost of our three nights was £37. 50 so one of the comments that smaller sites are cheaper would seem to be debatable.
Toilets are clean with ample hot water but useless tissue style toilet paper. A family room with bath ( no plug ) proved invaluable for a two year old with an aversion to showers.
A dog friendly beach is a short walk away, and we never experienced any noise other than a lovely dawn chorus from the many different birds on site.

Had a fantastic week here at the end of May (Spring Bank week). I booked this site with some trepidation, as I am not a big fan of commercial sites with club houses etc. However this site has changed my mind. The reception for touring pitches was well sign posted and therefore easy to find. We had a very friendly welcome and everything relevant (water, showers etc. ) were pointed out to us. The site was full as this is the busiest week/weekend of the year but never had to queue for a shower or the toilets. The shower blocks were always clean, if there was any mess this was always cleaned up by the time I next visited the shower/toilet block. We pre booked some activities for my daughter and her friend (both aged 14) before we arrived and I would recommend doing this as they get booked up very quickly. They did go swimming a lot and never got turned away so when they had no activity booked they were swimming instead. There is a lovely pedestrianised area that is between the site and the beach, this has 2 lanes (1 for pedestrians and one for cyclists, this takes you all the way in to Cleethorpes itself. Friday and Saturday nights can be a bit noisy due to the bar being open later on these nights but the rest of the week there was no noise after dark. Although Haven are dearer than the smaller sites I would recommend them to families as we never once heard the girls complaining they were bored, which is a first on our holidays.

Spent Easter this year at the park.
Fantastic welcome and pitched in the small area on a euro pitch.
This was between both shower toilet blocks which was kept very clean at all times by the staff and a credit to them as the park was packed.
Plenty to do for the grand daughter even at 2 1/2 yrs old, great dog walking on the beach with easy access.
Prices in the Spar on site was steep but Tesco Extra 10 mins away.
Worth while for familys and will go again.

This was our 2nd stay at a Haven site, both taken within a week of each other and both booked only the day before we travelled. Have to say on arrival we realised that Thorpe park touring park was a much older site than the previous one we'd stayed at (Caistor). Buildings looked tired, and in much need of a freshen up. The entire park is very large, and split into 2 sections across an access road, the camping site is situated amongst static vans on the left side, There is a supermarket at the entrance to this side of the site and 3 tourer toilet/shower blocks, plus a small children's play area, but that is it; all other facilities and activities are across the road on the main park. These include another supermarket, papa johns pizza, burger king, bars and cafes, swimming pool, crazy golf, climbing wall, amusement arcade, fishing lake to name a few.
On arrival we were booked in, at the touring site office (which is very well sign posted) by one of the wardens, paid £10. 00 refundable deposit for a key to the toilet blocks and told we could choose our own pitch, as they don't allocate pitches at Thorpe park. (Even though our booking confirmation specified Euro pitch). Hubby chose pitch 33 on a corner of 2 roadways (we later realised this was a bad choice)! Hard standing for the van and car, with gravel for the awning area and surrounded by trees.
After setting up, we noticed the grass area next to the parking space was waterlogged, which we assumed was caused by a leak from a fire hydrant. I reported this the following morning along with a broken aerial connection, on arriving back on site after a day out, the aerial connection had been fixed in a fashion - a length of coaxial with a screw-on end adapter hanging out of the socket box, - other sites we've been on all have push-in ends, so still couldn't use the aerial. The fire hydrant didn't look as though it had been touched, and the area was still as waterlogged.
Unfortunately there was heavy overnight rainfall during our stay and the awning area was standing in 2-3 inches of water for more than 24 hours. (Fortunately we don't use an awning, so the worse we had to endure was wet feet stepping out of the van)!
Only used the toilet block 3 times and to be honest I wouldn't want to have to use them more than that, not the cleanest, toilets wouldn't flush and the hand dryers are a waste of time, paper all over the floor on 2 occasions, the other time the cleaner was in there, but doesn't look as though they are cleaned very often anyway, on the whole could do with a total make over.
Elsan point needs proper hand washing facilities, not just a sanitizer dispenser!
We didn't use any entertainment or eating establishments on site, so cannot comment on those.
We only booked the site due to it's late availability, and only ever really use any site as a base, so the entertainment isn't an issue for us, but I was annoyed to be woken up between 12. 00 & 1. 00 a. M. By exceptionally loud music, and shouting, which carried on for quite a while, considering site rules state quietness after 10. 00p. M. Not sure where it was coming from, I assumed another touring unit but hubby thought there was probably a bar or clubroom in the area as he'd seen people coming down from the palm springs area of the site carrying trophies earlier in the day, though site map doesn't show anything in this area, as we left the following morning we never had a chance to find out who/where the noise came from.
Pleasure island Theme Park is next to Thorpe Park so for family's with children and teens, possibly an enjoyable day out, though expensive, the beach is also very nice, and there is a miniature light railway to take a ride on. Other than that Cleethorpes really doesn't have much to offer, that we could see, usual run of the mill town centre chain store shops and pubs, nothing special or memorable so won't be returning in a hurry if ever!

We have been to Thorpe Park on many occasions but not in school holidays in a tourer - we decided that we would bring our caravan here for 4 days in the Easter holidays. The price was cheap and I guess we got what we paid for -a fully serviced hard standing pitch with fun works passes to the leisure complex.
The wardens and cleaners were all hard working but I don't think they could cope with the levels of people as the toilets and shower facilities were not great ( and not clean for long). I think they need updating - 2 toilets were out of order but people were still using them that was a little disgusting. My husband said the men's toilets were not good either :(. We had to pay a deposit of £10. 00 for a key to use the toilet block - you got this back at the end of the break.
The grounds were well kept and plenty of space for the kids including a little play area our 8 and 9 year old enjoyed.
Haven Thorpe park itself is starting to look a little tired but saying that the kids had a great time - although don't be fooled into thinking havens is a cheap camping holiday once your in the complex everything costs. The swimming pool is great although the changing facilities were quite grim.
The beach at Cleethorpes is lovely and we were lucky with the weather.

Warm welcome to the campsite once we had checked in and paid £10 deposit for the toilet key we were directed to our pitch. We were unable to book an electric pitch but after seeing how the tents in the electric part we cramped up I'm glad we had a basic grass pitch. The ground was uneven and rubbish left by previous users was still on the ground. We had plenty of space around us and the people in the statics near us were very friendly. It's a short walk to the toilet block which my personal option is that they need cleaning more often especially when the site has just had a lot of wet weather. The hair dryer in the blocks was great to use for the kids. Pot wash area was nice and clean. Water was warm in showers. Again the sinks in my option needed a clean over during the day in fact we were they're three days and I saw the cleaning staff once. The swimming pool facilities were great would be even better if the outdoor area was heated ! The swimming pool staff we excellent from booking activities to helping children the lifeguards were on the ball and seemed to work as a team, very friendly. One jumped in to help a child get out of the pool some places would of just watched. Also when on the station near the indoor slide the lifeguards were great at joining in the fun. The pool parties were well organised and the activity team were fantastic with the children. The showers in the pool were warm and the changing area was clean. The food outlets were good Burger King and fish and chips pizzas too. The main food area in the bar was good value. The park and sand area was great for the kids. Shame you had to pay for golf and the hamster balls. We had a lovely time here the beaches are huge cleethorpes is a short distance away and pleasure island theme park was next door which was wonderful no queuing no fuss great rides.

Just got back after a fab 10 days camping. Everything is just super. Pitches are extremely spacious, staff very friendly, toilet/shower blocks lovely and clean with constant hot water. Lots of things/activities for the kids. Beach is just a 5 min walk. Pool is fab. Couldn't ask for a better place. Definitely recommend! Booking 2 weeks next year! :-D

We stayed here for 3 nights as we had just bought our first Tourer, a little beauty, Coachman VIP 390/2. We know Cleethorpes well, but had never been there for a holiday. We had 2 dogs at the time (its now 3. ) & this Site was also Pet Friendly, which is very important to us. At a cost of only £62 for 3 nights & with 2 Dogs plus we had use of all the Facilities which looked great. I thought the touring area will be horrible etc etc. What a shock when we arrived, it was very nice. Clean, tidy & more than enough room as large pitch bays. We had a wonderful time, very pet friendly, great customer service, helpful & friendly staff. The Toilet Block was immaculately clean with a lovely fresh smell & great showers.
Definitely a 10/10. We are going back again this year. One of our Faves.
