Just come back from a five day camping trip with my wife and two children, this is a huge site with a lot of good facilities especially for children, there are two bars to choose from, an entertainment bar and a quieter bar, a nice swimming pool and play area, for a good day out pleasure island is situated just outside the camp, Thorpe park has direct access to the beach. Just outside the park is a pub called the trawler-man, good food carvery only £4.49 adults and about three pounds children. You can walk from the site into Cleethorpes, catch a bus from the site or get the mini railway just outside the site. The staff were friendly especially the touring warden who is a very pleasant man. On the negative side the camping area of the site was very uneven and boggy and needs major ground work on it to level it out, hopefully this will be done at the end of season for our visit next year, also my wife was not happy to find there is no electric points in the female shower block to plug in hair dryers and straighteners etc, especially as the male shower block had electric points for razors and an hair dryer. The shower blocks have recently been re tiled hopefully they will put the power points back in for next year as this is not acceptable.

This is a great site with plenty to do. All the leisure facilities are all together. A nice pool with fun area for kids. There is a fantastic crazy golf course and go-karts. There are other rides as well, but you have to buy tokens for everything which doesn't come cheap! A great club accessed from the amusements where there is good entertainment every night for kids and adults . There is a well stocked shop near the camping area as well as a fish and chip shop. There are a couple of beach accesses leading on to a great sandy beach. The site is set in lovely surroundings near a nature reserve. We looked at the camping facilities and we hope to come back and camp here soon. Some of the camping area is being re-vamped aswell. The setting for tents and tourers is lovely and clean. The site is within easy walking distance to cleethorpes and 'pleasure island' is just around the corner. We would visit this site again.

Well I booked this with trepidation. However on arrival I was pleasantly surprised. The touring warden was a nice guy indeed, in fact the first ever warden to shake my hand and say welcome. The touring area is on the outskirts of the main Haven static site which is vast, enormous in fact.
Bourne leisure now own Haven and have spent a fortune on the sites, it is rumoured Thorpe Park has had around £1.6m spent.
But first the pitches. The pitches are concrete hard standings with a sort of upside down L shape for the car to go on the left as you are looking at it. We got a Euro pitch which has drainage and water/TV turret. The TV hook up is a F Plug satellite type so take an adaptor. However we used our Status UFO ariel and picked up freeview no problems! So if you have a freeview box - you are laughing here. Got BBC, ITV and CH4 and 5.
The drainage is quite far away from the pitch so you will need a lot of pipe to get to it - we used the waste master but had the convenience of being able to pour the waste away into the drain.
Now if you own a EURO caravan then the pitches wont work for you reversing in if you want an awning as the pitch is lined up for right hand awnings only. So off I popped to see the man and he had no problems with me going in hitch first so I could get my awning up. No stupid CC rules here!
So onto the site. There is one (I think) toilet block which is also the washing up and chemical disposal area too. The block was ok, but it had a family room with small bath, shower and basin. Very handy for me and Mrs P and Ms P.
Not super clean as it got hammered by all the families, we had to play "look out of the window" to spot when it was empty. The shower didnt drain very well but all in all the room made life easy for families.
As has been said, the plugs arent present - we used our caravan shower drain plug and it fitted fine but apparently you can hire them for £1. Take one with you as he isnt always around (or jam in some toilet paper!). The facilities on site consist of a little park with bouncy castle, a very good crazy golf, some smaller tea cup rides (around £1-£3 a go)and a family bar as well as the Haven obligatory Entertainment room.
The Aqua bar is attached to the amusements where £30 can vanish in an instant. The bar isnt cheap - about £2.60 for a pint of lager. Food is on all day with curry night Tue and Thu. The warden told me not to eat the food there and we didnt!
There is loads for kids - if you have kids then Haven lay it all on - ok for a price but if you have kids you know what I mean - its worth every cent.
On site is a shop and chippie which are very dear - Im not one to moan as I expect high prices on such places but this was dear indeed.
TOP TIP - there is a Tesco about 2 miles away and a chippie around the corner which is lovely.
You can access the beach and Cleethorpes main centre within a few minutes.
All in all this isnt cheap but if you look around there are some great deals. It was very clean in the complex, the toilets and showers let it down but all in all a good bet for a family. Can get a bit 'chavvie' at times so avoid school holidays if you can.

Stayed for a one night mini-break with our 3 kids and touring van. We stayed on a very nice euro pitch. The warden was very friendly and even though we had to be off site by 10am, for a £5 surcharge we were able to stay on our pitch til 6pm, which was nice as we could take our time getting sorted for going.
It was a lovely friendly atmosphere, however cars and even site work vans were travelling at least 20-30 mph, which made me cringe as there are so many little ones playing. All over the site people were driving everywhere, which I thought was inappropriate in a holiday site. Easy walk to a lovely sandy beach, where you can walk the coast path to Cleethorpes , which is a lovely walk. The site is near Pleasure Island Theme park, which we didn't go to this time, but would be a nice day out. The entertainment complex at Haven was very expensive, there were the usual kids bar, arcades and souvenir shops inside the nightclub, competing for your cash. We struggled to get a table, so i feel you have to go out early if you want a seat. The only free stuff was the entry into the entertainment complex, which has doormen to oversee. The swimming pool was free entry, and was lovely and warm (like being in a bath), and was great fun for us all ( we spent 2 hours in the pool) , although you have to queue for the changing cubicles. The fairground type rides, and go cars and donkeys etc were chargeable.
I feel this place is an expensive way to holiday if you're not extremely careful with your money. There's all sorts of shops and chip shops on site, so you wouldn't have to go out and about at all really. I enjoyed our night away, but I'm not sure I'll go back, as even though it was fun, it didn't feel "special", and I was too stressed about all the traffic flying around, whilst my young kids were out playing with their new-found friends.

This site is very well visited from a lot of tourists from all over the country, and indeed some from the continent. The site where you can park your tourer is really clean and on the euro pitch is very nice and close to the shower blocks and toilets. I think these are pretty clean, although could be better.
From the euro pitches,it is only a few yards to the camp shop which sells a very good choice of food and provisions, they are of course a little dearer though.
Next door is a good chippy which in my mind is quite expensive, and just across the road is the bar where at the rear is a very nice area for kids. There are couple of ponds for fishing and you can catch a good size fish if your using the right bait.
Not far from the site are couple of decent pubs. If you decide to walk into town you will pass the boating lake, again nice fishing, or you could choose to take the train.
All in all, this site is the most popular that is in Cleethorpes, but I think eventually it may be just for the sited caravans. You can walk round the site calling in to the other shop and there is a nice sailing club also, it is very nice to stay on this site and it is well worth the visit.

We visited this site for Easter break. When we arrived we were told to pitch any where we wanted on the no-eletric site, so we did. We were visited by the grumpy old man in charge of the tent field and told we had pitched our tent in the wrong place but they have no markings and he was not very polite. The toilet and shower block are OK a bit blocked at times. The big club house was smokey, expensive and if you wanted a seat you would have to be in there, fully made up at about 5 pm. We found the other bar to be nice and pleasant though. The mini-golf and playground for the children were really nice. The swimming-pool is good but not organised as you have to queue through a bar to be let in and needs to be sorted out a little better. Very expensive to stay here and we will not be returning in the near future.

I thought this site was well laid out. Toilets and showers were o k. Warden was helpful and friendly. Tent field was flat. My only niggle was the speed of some of the traffic travelling round the site, it was a little excessive, they need to stop this it is an accident waiting to happen.

The site is set at the end of Cleethorpes and is so large it is a village in itself. There is every possible facility you could imagine and you wouldn't have to leave the site all week if you wished. We had a large hard standing Euro pitch with electric hook up supply, our own tp, waste water disposal point and TV ariel point. Jim the Warden was so helpful. The ground is exceptionally hard and it was difficult to pitch the awning and windbreaks. Be warned that previous caravaners have left tent pegs in the ground so it can be quite dangerous underfoot. Toilets and shower blocks are by code entry and there is a different code for both the toilets and family / disabled facilities. Due to the plugs disappearing, you now have to pay £1.00 for 2 different sized plugs which is refunded at the end of your holiday. The large family / disabled room was excellent with a bath and separate shower. The bath can get quite sandy and there is nowhere in the shower to place toiletries. The floor does get quite flooded. We did not visit the club house or pool as we had very small children. We also did not visit the shop as there is a Tesco store out of town. The walk into town is one and a half miles but it is lovely and easy with a pram. The map provided by the site does not show that there is access to the coast path via the camping field. Although Cleethorpes has a fairly bad reputation, it is the ideal place for a family holiday as there is so much to do. I would definitely bring the children back here again.

Great site, nice flat site, although a bit on the small side compared to others we have visited at Haven. Entertainment is great, good atmosphere. Toilet shower block is a bit small, and there is a family / disabled room, has a different door pin code which you get off the warden, it has a bath (no plug though!)in there and only hairdryer there is. Only downside some of the caravans there looked really rundown old and dirty Nice beach, although the sea seemed miles out. Lovely nature walks next to beach. There's a little zoo worth a visit that has talking parrots - brilliant! Lovely park there and boating lake.

Visited over the Easter weekend. Nice grassy pitch at edge of beach (with grassy mound between, so no sea views, but no demarcations, so got cramped as more people arrived over the weekend. Shower facilities good, never any queues, despite site being packed. Kids (15, 11 and 10) loved the pool and we rarely saw them. Shop was pretty useless, full of bizarre ornaments, but nothing useful that anyone on a caravan/camping holiday might need - no tent pegs (yes, we forgot), no wellies, no cooking utensils/pans, disposable plates etc. Fortunately huge Tesco nearby provided all our wants - including extra bedding as the weather was VERY cold! Good takeaway near tent pitches. Overall an excellent break, but the site definitely looks after its owners, and not tourers! Fair amount of litter, too, especially cigarette ends around loo block!Cleethorpes itself was a nice surprise, very nice area.
