This site is well located and is just around the corner from the Camping and Caravan Club site at Kingsbury Water Park. On entering the site it appears to be well managed. The pitches are all flat. There are Electronic barriers on the entrance/ exit.

The Wardens are really nice helpful people. We were given a choice of pitch on arrival. The caravans are placed around the roadsides and trailer tents and tents go into to the middle of the circular area.

The kids play area is well set out and is visible from most parts of the site.

The elson disposal point is easy to use.

The showers were clean, plenty of hot water and there was a bucket & mop with disinfectant in for people to use after showering. Most people used this.

Seperate toilet facilities, the mens urinals could have done with being cleaned, instead of just relying on the disinfectant blocks placed into them. The WC's were clean though. Plenty of soap, hot water and a hand dryer that worked.

The dish washing area was good, plenty of hot water, No plugs on the sinks, but two bowls provided that fit into the sinks. There is a good sizes commercial washing machine and dryer on site priced at £3 and £4.

The reception sells a few basic items.

The only problem that we encountered with our stay was the fact that we were woken up at 2am by people in tent behind us who were sat around a fire pit, laughing, shouting, screaming, Drinking alcolhol. Plenty of empties around their feet. One of their party was urinating onto the grass pitch. I went and asked them to be quiet as we had two small children with us. As I walked away the abuse came along with more noise.

It was at 4. 30 am that the noise ceased as a couple of other campers (very large handy looking guys) approached them and told them to shut up.

Next morning after a few complaints, two young women were removed from site.

We were told that the others had been tld to leave, but they stayed for an extra day.

On our final night, there was another domestic at the far side of the site that spilled out into the park and others jhoined in. The noisy crew behind us began shouting, but we were saved by a very heavy rain storm that made everyone go inside.

On speaking to a few regulars, this site does attract the rowdier elements. The low price may have something to do with it. We were also told that it is always the campers in tents that cause issues (they certainley did behind us), mind you when you allow 2 adults and 3 children to share a tent made for 3, there's bound to be problems.

A lovely site with a poor reputation, maybe the owners should ban tents to see if things improve.

I cannot recommend this site as it is at present, its a real pity.

This is a very well positioned site. Plenty to do in the area and also close to lots of Midlands attractions, yet plenty of countryside very close by. A bit of noise from the main road, but not excessive considering proximity to tamworth and kingsbury. The campsite owners were friendly and helpful.

The site is very flat, well laid out and private. There is a good play area for kids, the showers, toilets, utility room/washup area all situated together in one block. These were generally clean and we didn't have to wait for using these (even on the Easter w/end we stayed there). We were close to the shower block which was fine, but might be a problem if you're pitched further away. (although its not a massive site).

Nice and secure, with well gated access, and well lit. A bonus was the mobile chippy that called on sat evening, very nice. No club on site but plenty of pubs nearby.

Great site, will definitely stop there again soon.

The main advantage of this caravan site is its price. At £16 per night for 2 adults in a caravan, you can’t go wrong with electricity included. Their pricing is very clear and very fair – it’s £6 to overstay for the afternoon, including Sundays, and it’s £1 per visitor per day. When compared to another caravan site not so far away, the choice of site becomes obvious.

The site consists of a very large oval field with a playground in the middle. Caravans are pitched around the edge of the field and then the other side of the ‘road’ around the oval are loads of hard standing pitches. We had plenty of space, but we could see that when its busy, the site’s policy of lining all the caravans up could mean that there is little more space than a caravan and an awning between pitches, but we’d be happy to risk this.

The playground includes 2 swings, a climbing frame and a slide. This, together with loads of green space in the middle of the field, gives children plenty to do, and unlike another nearby site, ball games are allowed.

The toilet block is well established; it is clean, but needs a bit of a makeover that could easily be done for a small amount of investment.

The sinks and toilets are a bit tired and there needs to be a smaller urinal for children as well as accessible sinks. The grey waste and elsan point are the same and it is a whole in the ground, surrounded by concrete and then lots of stones – this is a very clever design and avoids lots of splash back that is a risk when emptying at waste height – it also saves having to lift the waste up high. The water point has a similar clever design with lots of stones around it to avoid any mud building up.

The downsides of this site include road noise from the A4097 and the M42 and the waste disposal – or rather lack of waste disposal. Unfortunately, the site has a large skip for waste which was overfilled when we arrived – they then used 2 builder’s sand bags to carry the rest of the waste. This of course attracted lots of flies and the smell was obvious for the pitches near the toilet block. Therefore, avoid those pitches closest to the block. All it needs is for them to change their method of waste disposal with their contractor.

Overall, great value for money and with it only being ½ a mile from Kingsbury Water Park with an easy walk and bike ride in, we will be back.

We have just stayed at this caravan park in our Bailey for a weekend and was joined by my father in his Avondale.

The first thing we should mention is the steepness of the drive coming in to the park from the right (Kingsbury park side). It caused the legs of our 'van to ground and could have caused severe damage so please take care. The site warden was informed and admitted it is a problem and going by the deep scores in the driveway a lot of others have experienced this too. They should get this sorted really!

The overall site is in good condition however there was a power cut and the showers did not get hot until late morning the next day. There was also some kind of disco playing loud music until gone 1 am on Saturday night which we did not find very conducive to a good night's sleep!

Apart from those points, the location is good. We could ride our bikes to the water park and we have a lovely meal at the Dog and Doublet pub (mixed grill was amazing). Apparently there is a chip van that visits on a Saturday night too, worth knowing!

I have visited this site on several occasions and have been very pleased with the outcome and had no problems.

When we went this weekend we where placed in a quiet spot that the manager recommend. This was fine until Saturday night when a marquee had a party in it until 1 0'clock in the morning. This kept use awake and several other clients. If we had been informed about this we could of moved the tent also in the rules for the site it said no loud music after 11 o'clock so is it one rule for them and another for other people we where paying guest just as much as the people in the marquee.

So Unfortunately we will not be visiting this site again.

We have just returned from a short weekend at this site. This was our 1st trial of an older caravan so we decided to stay quite local in case we hit any problems we are not far from home.

When we arrived on site we were asked if we had any preference as to pitch location we asked for close to toilets. We couldn't have got closer it was perfect we were shown to our pitch all was explained where everything was -most helpful!about 4 hours after we got there we had a problem with our car my husband went to ask if they had a set of jump leads there was an army of fellow campers came to our aid !

Most friendly site. Will defo go there again ! Big thanks to all

2nd time at this site which we use when we have gone to the NEC. It is so convenient for the NEC and in a nice area in the country. Great value.

We have had a good pitch both times and the facilities are good. It does seem to be used a lot by contractors but they never caused us a problem. We stayed for 2 nights and had a very warm welcome and the cost is very good at £16 per night with electric.

Booked in for a weekend break to visit the xmas markets at Birmingham. We arrived late and the owner came out to reception and guided us to our pitch. He was well humoured even though it was past 8, the site is quite and busy with a assortment of motorhomes and tourers, seemed to be a base for a lot of contractors. But this wasn't a issue a few went to work on Saturday morning but didn't make a lot of noise. Its a sleepy site with campers not very active till after 8.

The showers were clean and warm. The shower cubicles could do with a few hooks but apart from that the are fine. The site itself was clean and well looked after.

We got the bus from outside to Birmingham if you are going to get the bus check the times as they only leave on the hour,

When we got back from Birmingham we headed for the lea marston hotel for dinner which for 2 people with 3 courses our bill was under £50 so great value and excellent food.

Great site and we paid £32 fir 2 nights great value as well we will return the next time we visit Birmingham.

We stayed here for only a few nights and would definitely recommend going here and staying longer. The manager was welcoming even though we arrived outside reception opening times.

The shower block and toilets were v clean. It is very close to motorway links and lovely village pubs. There is a small playground for smaller children, but plenty of space for my older boys to play football without upsetting anyone.

We have stayed at this site previously and had written a positive review about it. However since then it has definitely gone down hill.

The showers and toilets are now smelly, unclean and in need of some refurbishment. Only one of the 3 soap dispensers had soap in it all weekend. They were never closed for cleaning and we didn't even see someone in there cleaning them during the day.

The dishwashing facilities are now poor - gone are the plugs and washing up bowls so we had to block the plug hole with paper towel in order to wash up. The cold tap wasn't working in one of the two sinks which meant only one was really usable.

Finally, they have introduced a rule to say that you cannot use electric heaters in your caravan or awning, only gas heating must be used. And anyone abusing this rule will be thrown off the site. I have never ever known a site that stopped you using electric heaters when you are paying for an electric hook up especially when you are paying £20 a night. Although it was summer it was cold and as I do not have a gas heater for the awning then it was too cold to sit in there.

The only positives were the chips from the van on Saturday night and the car boot in the field next door on the Sunday morning.

We will not be returning.
