We stayed stayed for two nights over May Day bank holiday weekend. Booked for three nights, but left Sunday evening to avoid the wet weather forecast for bank hol Monday! Parts of the site were a bit boggy due to lots of recent rain, but most of it was fine. Toilets block always clean and pleasant. Small play area, but plenty to keep our kids amused. Lots of space for running around or ball games. Site is nice and level and so close to M42 so really easy to get to. We spent Saturday at the snow dome in Tamworth which was great fun. Will certainly be returning.

We stayed there 2 nights in the rain and had a fabulous time. We arrived on site and drove slowly round to reception to be greeted by Glen who was very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. My husband asked where to pitch our van he told us to pitch up straight on the grass near to reception near to all amenities.
The site had washing machines and toilets with showers we only used toilets but a £5.00 refundable deposit is in place for shower keys. There was a playground centrally located not really large enough for 120 pitches in main season we think, but our children did use it.
All water services were kept clean and tidy and bins. Park is very clean and spacious pitches and on the perimeter pitches are hard standing and look like long term use. Finally tv reception is very good. Saturday night the chip van arrives at 7.30 pm and they are not to be missed red hot, crispy and delicious even better than our local chip shop !

I stayed here for one night en route north having completely forgotten to book for the night before Easter. What a friendly welcome my elderly Mum and I had on arrival. Staff were attentive to our specific needs and happy to answer all my questions. The showers were clean, warm and had plenty of hot water - a relief not to have to bring change!
I'd agree that there was no plug in one of the dish-washing basins and it lacked recycling options. Having no children, I can't comment on those facilities.
We enjoyed the proximity to the motorway (we heard no noise other than a background buzz) and the joy of watching pairs of birds courting in the hedgerows.
I'd plan to stay here again next year.

Very clean site with short grass and well drained.
Lots of seasonal caravans surround the perimeter of a very large camping field. A play area for small children sits in the middle of this field.
Toilets and showers clean with plenty of hot water although a plug for the sinks will be required if you want to wash your pots etc in the dishwash area.
Staff ( I assume) were overly fussy about cars being on the grass and if maybe a bit more friendly and polite in general, would probably attract more repeat business to what is otherwise a nice site.

We booked for short stay to coincide with the Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC.
Access to the site was very good - not far off Junction 9 of the M42.
The person who checked us in seemed very unsure as to who was pitched where stating that several of the motorhomes would have gone to the show! Luckily, we did not 'steal' anyone's pitch!
The ground was level and the grass was short. We did have some rain during our stay and the ground drained well.
Pro's: Reasonable rates @ £15 a night inc 2 adults, EHU and awning and no charge for showers. Security barrier via keycode after 9pm but open throughout day. Conveniently located for tourist attractions and approx 3/4 of a mile from Kingsbury Water Park.
Cons: The showers had very little room between the shower curtain and the door. My husband struggled with this when drying after his shower. In the ladies the shower to the far right is considerably bigger so I used this one each time. There is some road noise but the site is near the M42 and you cannot really hear this once inside your caravan.
The toilets for both the men and the women are in separate blocks. Therefore, I feel the showers could be made bigger and refurbished. But they were hot and free.
The other thing we noticed was that there seemed to be a lot of seasonal pitches. These appeared to be located around the whole perimeter of the site on hardstandings. We also saw quite a few people who were clearly using the site as a base to go to work. Men were going out around 7. 30am and returning around 5. 30pm in what was clearly work wear i. E. High vis trousers and jacket.
To summarise: good value for money in a good location with easy access. We would probably stay here again but we used this site as our 1st choice of site (nearer to family) was fully booked.

Stayed over the august bank holiday weekend. We wanted something near to thomas land and this fitted the bill.
Lovely site but very busy and children quite noisy at night. The toilets and showers could do with a clean.
Very handy for Thomas land.
Would be Good to have a recycle station as all waste was just chucked into one big skip and was full after the weekend.
Car boot next door to the site on a Sunday morning was very good. Started at 7am.
Staff friendly and dogs are welcome on site.

This was the first time I had taken my niece and nephew away camping and what a fantastic time we had.
The welcome we received was really friendly and the booking process swift and efficient. We were at our pitch within 10 minutes of being on site.
The site felt really secure and I felt confident that my nephew could go anywhere on the site and be safe. The playground was a great distraction for him and a great place to make friends. This happened within 5 minutes.
The showers were clean and powerful giving a great massage on my shoulders following the pressure of erecting the tent with my niece. The toilets were always clean and there was always plenty of paper!
There was plenty of room on site for the number of tents that were around and we never felt overlooked or in anyones way.
The chip van was a great addition on site on Saturday and definitely made a change from having to cook.
In all we had a great couple of days and will definitely recommend this site to friends.

We were so impressed with this campsite that we stayed an extra night. It's only a small site but offers the basic needs ie. Showers toilets, hot water, dish washing, washer/dryer, and a small park in the center.
We were able to let the kids go play with no worries as they were always in sight, 5mph speed limit so no speeding cars.
The downside is the busy main road on a night time with traffic moving all night, I myself did not have a problem with this and slept soundly, however I did talk to a camper who lost sleep because of the heavy traffic.
Personally this is the ideal location for visiting Staffordshire.

This is a great campsite for a short or long stay. We stayed here for 2nights on our way over to France and visited Drayton Manor when here. The site has a park right in the centre and it was great to let the kids go play and we could sit and relax without worrying as there is no place they can go.
The toilets and showers are hot and clean, which makes a huge difference. The chip van comes in on a Saturday night. the food is lovely and reasonable. We liked it that much that on our way home from France we called and booked another night as a stop over.
The staff are very friendly and helpful they give you 100% of their time. We will definitely be returning to this site in the future and have recommended to our friends and family. And hey the site is also cheap for 2adults and 2kids we were only £15 per night ye canny beat it.

Stayed here for 2 nights to tie in with a visit to Thomas World/ Drayton Manor which is only a few miles away. Also close to water park and a nice farm/ play barn. There is a large supermarket a few miles away which was handy but a shop on site would be good as we had to drive miles for some extra tent pegs.
Paid £12 per night for a tent without EHU but EHU available as were hardstandings for caravans. Not too many tents so there was loads of room for the children to play. If there were more it would detract from the site.
Chose this site as it had a play area which was small but fine for my 2 year old (although the swing was only suitable for older children).
No pubs nearby but ice cream van came every afternoon and fish and chip van appeared later on which were all good. There are also Chinese/ Indian takeaways that will deliver but we didn't try them.
Campsite, toilet, showers and utility kept clean and tidy. Showers were free and plenty of hot water, never had to queue and there was a large vanity area which I found handy for changing children. 2 sinks for washing up, plenty of water taps and bins not overflowing. Was also a washing machine and dryer.
Were lots of rules but nothing unusual and the owners did ask a group of noisy children to keep it down which we approved of!
