Me my husband and my 2 and a half year old son went here for 4 nights sat till wed. We found it very friendly and clean. The price was so cheap I had to ask if he had got it wrong on the internet.
I found showers were clean. They are the type were you have to keep pushing the button. The pot wash was clean. We visited drayton mannor and alton towers whilst we were there as both are within driving distance.
I loved the fact that on saturday night a fish and chip van came to the campsite. There is co op in kingbury. The campsite is under the flight path for east middlands aiport so can be slightly loud in mornings. For some reason you never here them at night just mornings and about 6ish at night.
Would recommend this site to everyone. I will be using it again on my next trip to alton towers.

The site was easy to find and well sign posted, on arrival the staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel most welcome. The site wasn't too busy for tents with it being a Thursday and we were told we could pick whatever pitch suited us.
Our two young children made a bee line for the small but well maintained play area consisting of two swings and a slide/climbing net / firemans pole combo, it was enough to keep our 2 and 5 year old busy for our short one night stay.
The ladies toilets were very clean but my husband tells me the gents were not quite up to the same standard. The key pad lock on the toilets was quite difficult for me to use as I have a disability that makes fine motor control hard and I also failed to really see the point of them as the code was taped on the door, the only reason I could see for the locks was to enforce the rule that under 10's should be accompanied to the toilets, my husband tells me the mens toilets had a lock but it was not being used.
Due to only staying one night and then going on to family we didn't bother with getting a key for the showers but a key is available for a £5 deposit.
The site felt secure and safe, the other site users courteous and the site was clean and the grass cut (even if the ground was very hard that's not something much can be done about!). The traffic noise did seem very loud but this is the price you pay for such an accessible site, we may have noticed it more then some as we live in a very rural location and are used to very very quiet nights!
The site is in a great location to access many many interesting and fun activities, the office had lots of information on what was on offer in the area, we were spoiled for choice to be honest, we had made the stop off to visit Thomas land as Drayton Manor and this is a great site to choose for this, about a 15 min drive.
We will definitely choose to stay at this site again, for longer this time, we hadn't realised how much there is to do in the area and this site makes a great base with no concerns about leaving belongings while off site.

A hidden gem- what more can I say! On arrival we were made very welcome and shown to the pitch of our choice. Very nice site, all flat pitches and well laid out with plenty of space, small playground for the kids with plenty of room for them to run around.
Toilets and showers were kept very clean and there was plenty of hot water.
Washing up facilities and washer/drier on site. Would make an ideal stopover site when travelling to/from south/southwest as its only 5 minutes from junction 9 on the M42.Would highly recommend 5*
Nearest town is kingsbury with local shops/garage/chippy etc approx 5 minutes away.

Never been here before and site access from the main road is good although not immediately obvious where the reception is when you 1st arrive.
Were told when booking on the phone it was cash on arrival which I have to confess we forgot, were directed to where an atm could be found locally and agreed we could pay in the morning.
Later in the evening when I realised I couldn't gain access to the showers without a key, wardens gave me serious attitude for then disturbing them to obtain a key, I could have waited for the morning but with reception not opening until 10am we would have lost a significant amount of time at Drayton Manor so didn't want to wait until morning.
I accept the issue was my own doing not being able to pay on arrival in cash but the inability to accept cards didn't help and the attitude of the wardens was disappointing.
Site is well designed and adequately clean but the number of toilets & showers seems limited for the size of the site.

Been here many times but as other reviews stated now under new management.
Very thorough booking by phone so I thought they would run a tight ship. But. Only a small 'but' - grass un mowed which made the place look a little unkempt, reason mower broke.
New warden let us pitch where we liked on the perimeter (only) of the grass & is very very strict on how the van should be aligned to the road on the perimeter of the grass pitches. But thems the rules ! Now I know.
Toilets as usual clean tidy not unlocked need code to gain access. Showers fine. Utility room fine.
Sadly the wi fi isn't available any more
Would return and I'm better for it now knowing fully how my van should be situated.

The site was very clean and well maintained with a small children's play area. The toilets were nice and clean as were the showers. Entry to the toilet was by a code on the door. A key was required to access the showers (a £5.00 refundable deposit was required per key).
The utility room was always very clean with a token operated washing machine and dryer available (tokens available from reception). A huge Asda was only a few minutes drive away as was Drayton Manor theme park.
We will definitely stay here again.

We had been to this site before but were suprised to find new managers there this time.
The greeting was friendly and we were allowed to pick our pitch - which was a pleasant surprise.
The field was extremely busy with many dogs tied up next to tents on the camping field- the dog mess was a problem and some thoughtless owners had their dogs tethered on extending leashes, not good with children running about.
Cars were allowed to drive around tents unchallenged after dark which was far from safe- especially to the unlit pup tents. There is a 5mph one way road around the perimeter but we lost count of the cars ignoring the signs- the drivers were never challenged.
The toilets were unlocked all weekend and were often dirty with no toilet paper- the showers were also not cleaned to a very high standard.
We are hoping that this is just the new caretakers finding their feet, this site is just too good to have to cross off our list!
Will give it another go- and hopefully will not be so disappointed.

I have been visiting this site for many years, but after a recent change of management all is not well. The toilets are nowhere near as clean as usual and was often without toilet roll, the toilets and showers are now unlocked where you needed a key previously.
The bins in the wash room were always overflowing, there was load music after 12 one night, and bottles left on the camping field.
My biggest gripe was that people were walking dogs on the field and dog mess was a problem.People were driving across the field instead of around the road. Its such a pity that what was a super site has turned into this

I have visited this park twice this year, once for a weekend and an overnight stay in August 2010. Absolutely lovely site, the owners are lovely people, very polite and chatty. Pitches are lovely and spacious. Great value for money. Lovely small play area for the children, now for the main part. The toilets and showers : clean, tidy well kept, lovely showers always plenty of hot water, toilets are clean and the block is warm, plenty of toilet paper and soap. A laundry room if required but havent used it myself. I will be visiting again in September for a weekend and would highly recommend this site. You wouldn't believe you were so close to a big city like Birmingham, Thumbs up to the site owners as they are doing a wonderful job. 10/10. We had a big tent with EHU with 2 adults and 2 children for £12 per night and a deposit of £5 for a key for the toilets, amazing value.

Visited this site over the bank holiday weekend, found it quite busy but not too crammed. We where pitched in bottom corner of middle field and found it quite windy compared to the top of the field near to the reception. Grass had just been cut so there was grass cuttings everywhere, think we bought half the field home with us. The ground was really hard, bent a lot of pegs, so take some appropriate pegs.
Overall though nice cheap site, clean and tidy, could do with a shop on site!
Will go again.
