First impressions on arrival were clean site, large hard standing pitches, toilets and showers clean. For me it goes down hill from there!
The majority of the people on this site seemed permanent and of a different mind set to holiday caravan and campers. There are definitely a lot of men returning to the site from work each night in high viz jackets! The site had no atmosphere and was generally unfriendly.
The following negative points will ensure I do not return to this site.
The noise from the road was loud and disturbing.
The dog walk is a lane off the site with no dog bins.
There are no bins around the site, just one skip next to the reception.
The elsan disposal is just a hole in the ground.
The showers are small (except one) with no shelf or chair making it very difficult to get changed.
Lastly the showers and toilet have key pad locks or key access

What can I say great site!
Booked over the phone a warm welcome on arrival, barrier in and out,
Pitch was large tarmac for the car and van and plenty of room,
Showers and toilets were spotless and well maintained,
Chippy van came round on Saturday (and every Sat) and was great!
All in all great site and would recommend however £4.00 per night a child I found a touch expensive.
Would I go again most certainly!

We have just returned from a weekend at this gem of a site. We had driven by a few times and thought it rather open but far from it.
I reiterate previous reviewer's comments on the welcome to the site but must stress the safety that you feel on this site. Since the previous reviews there is now a coded barrier system in place and I'm sure this would deter wandering children.
Toilets spotless, showers again spotless although one of the 'push' taps was extremely fast and needed a hand resting on it continually.
Would we stay here again? Most definitely. If you're looking for somewhere near the NEC or Drayton Manor Park this is the place!

Before we arrived on site we communicated via email. The site was very efficient and informative with there information.
On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and everything was explained to us regards the toilets etc, we were escorted to the pitch which helped us as we always take ages to find it!
We were pitched right near to the park which was great as we have 2 young children and they could just play without us having to be there all the time.
The facilities are spotless and there is a shower in the ladies that is large enough for 1 adult and a couple of children. The water can at points be a bit hot for younger ones, but it is fine if you are careful, and this was was advised by the owners.
There is loads to do near by and we were spoiled for choice hence our return visit in November which is already booked.
This site is well recommended.

We just spent a lovely weekend at this site. On first impressions it is not particularly picturesque however once we got settled we noticed that the layout is fantastic.
We have two children 7 and 4 yrs. The play area is in the centre of the field and we were able to let them play out without us having to sit right next to them because we could see them from our tent. They had a fabulous time making new friends.
The couple that run the site were lovely, very friendly and helpful.
Toilets, showers and washing up area were fantastic! Clean and tidy and large enough to have your own space.
Fish and chip van came on Saturday night which was brilliant.
Brilliant value for money at £12 per night for a tent with electrical hook up.
Lovely short walk to Kingsbury Water Park which is a really nice place to visit.
We will definitely visit this site again.
Only downfalls I would say were the noise form the road and the planes flying overhead - but they weren't too much of a problem at all.

Yet another great visit to this site, we have been the last two weekends, and we will be back again. The site managers were again friendly and very helpful even giving our youngest dog treats which she was very happy about.
The showers and toilets were warm and clean all the time we were there, as ususal.
Kingsbury water park is only a couple of miles away and pub and shops are close too. The chip van comes every Saturday and takeaway's can be delivered to site too.
The road really is not a problem to us, I would not let it stop you visiting this site.
Another good time had and as I said we will go again!

We only bought our first caravan 3 weeks ago and decided to stay local in case we had any problems and couldn't have found a better place.
The guy in reception reversed our van onto our pitch as it was our first time towing and had only ever driven forwards!
He also lent us a pair of wire cutters and some tape when we realised our electric cable had been dragging on the floor and had worn through, leaving us without brake lights and indicators! First towing lesson learned.
We have 3 dogs and were placed next to the dog walk which was ideal.
The pitches are a good size, nice and deep, you have a hardstanding for the van plus room for your car, awning and still loads of room around.
I see from other comments about vans being there which look like they were permanent, yes there are some but they aren't exactly decrepit and their pitches are still very well kept.
The road is fairly busy but is more of a background hum and unless you listen for it you soon forget it's there, we slept perfectly well with the van windows open.
The farm behind the site is in the process of building 3 large fishing pools due to open in April much to my partners delight!
If I had to find one suggestion of an improvement it would be nice to have a proper dog walking area as at the moment it's in the lane and not safe to let them run free, although it is only 15 minutes walk to Kingsbury water park so not really a problem.
The toilets and showers are immaculate and conveniently positioned so they aren't far from any pitch.
We plan to return very soon.

This site is local to us and ideal to try out our new trailer tent. It cost us £12 for 1 night, which is all we wanted.
There are ample toilet facilities, which are modern and clean. They are next to the office which is at one end of the site. This means a fair walk if you get a pitch at the other end.
The facilities include showers, washing-up area and toilet drop. The showers are accessed by a key for which you pay £5 deposit and the toilets are accessed by entering a numer code.
The site is on the road to Kingsbury, not a main road, but one of the main entrance routes to Kingsbury Oil Terminal, which means quite a few lorries and Petrol tankers going up and down the road. This means the pitches near the road are quite noisy.
The site is flat and has plenty of EHU's for both caravan and tents. There are water taps around the site and a childrens play area in the middle.
The ground is quite stoney, which bent a few of our pegs, but does mean on the whole the site was quite dry underfoot. Apparently one area does flood, but the owners kept us away from that.
The site is a bit close for us, but if anyone is visiting Birmingham or the NEC then this site is ideal being very close to J9 of the M42.
If you are a golfer, the site is about 10 minutes from the Belfry Golf Course, and about 20 minutes from Drayton Manor Theme Park.
Gas is available on site, but there is no shop.
The villages of Marston and Kingsbury are both very close, both I assume have Village Shops but we did not go to them.

We've just returned after a week on this site.
On arrival I met the owner, Mark, who seemed very friendly and helpful. He showed us to our pitch and brought along a handful of leaflets for things to do in the surrounding area.
We were given two toilet/shower keys (a £5 refundable deposit on both). The showers and toilets were immaculately clean throughout the duration of our stay.
I do agree with an earlier comment made about there being a lot of older caravans on site - there are a LOT of permanently sited tourers (most of which are very old) - I would say the majority of pitches were taken by these & some are very shabby indeed.
There is a lovely little play area in the centre of the field which our youngest loved. However, do take care not to allow your kids to 'roam free' as there is an extremely busy main road running parallel with the site and there are no gates to stop your little ones leaving the site and running onto the main road.
On the subject of roads. We did find it to be very noisy. We never normally bother about traffic sounds but several times we had to turn the volume up on our tv in the evening because of the noise. Definately request a pitch well away from the road.
The site is in a fabulous location - 10/15 mins from the Tamworth Snowdome (well worth a visit - our kids loved Tobogganning!), Jacksons Camping & Caravanning showroom is also 15 mins away (the best camping accessory showroom we have seen, as well as a huge awning/tent display (we bought a couple of spare poles) and a folding camper & caravan display). So great we went twice =)
Cadbury World is about 20 mins away (another fabulous day out) and Drayton Manor is 10 mins max (save those Tesco Clubcard Vouchers!).
We also popped down the road to Kingsbury Water Park - a mere 2 mins by car. We loved feeding the Canada Geese and had a lovely long walk by the lakes & through the woodland. Next time we go we will go early, hire bikes and make a day of it with a picnio.
All in all we were very pleased with the site - it was lovely & clean and in a fabulous location. We would definitely return.

We have just returned from a two night stay at this site with our friends and thought it was great. We used it as a base to visit Twycross Zoo which we thoroughly enjoyed. The nearest shop was in the village about 1 mile away but we decided to go to the large ASDA (about 3 miles). This was very handy when it rained quite heavily and our children needed new trainers
On arrival we were shown in which areas we could pitch and were given a code for the toilet and key for the showers. It was very quiet so we had plenty of spots to choose from in the well set out grassy area, we pitched our tents close to the play area so we could watch our children play. The people in the reception were very friendly and helpful and even took a baby mole that we found down to the local vet.
The toilets were extremely clean and well set out, with 6 loo's ( 1 child sized) in the ladies and 4 sinks, my only recommendation would have been a small foot stool so the children could reach the sinks easier. The shower area was very spacious with one of the cubicle's being larger, this was helpful for me as I was able to take all 3 children in at once. They were powerful enough for us and although I love a hot shower it was a bit too hot for my youngest child. There was a large work surface and mirrors in this area with plug sockets.
Overall it was a clean and well run site that I would visit again.
