Superb adult-only site. 10 pitches, hardstanding, with electric hook-up, satellite connection, toilets and shower, all for £19 per night.

Site is beautifully maintained by Bev and Mark, with nothing too much trouble. I had a medical emergency late one evening and Bev was only too happy to take me by car to Gloucester hospital, a journey of approx 70 miles round trip, returning at 1. 45 am.

It’s a great shame we are only allowed to score sites out of ten, as this one is worth far in excess of that.

This site is an example of what all sites should strive to achieve.

This was our 3rd visit to this beautiful peaceful site opposite the forest.

Bev who runs the site is very friendly & helpful nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile.

The site is kept lovely and well tendered. Lots of birdlife on your doorstep.

Facilities are basic but always very clean and tidy ideal for a 10 pitch site. Lots of walks in the forest and surrounding areas.

There's a lovely coffee shop in Brean always friendly with good food drinks etc.

Already booked again for next year can't wait to return. Love this tranquil site. 🙂

Lovely 10 pitched adult only site, perfect for our dog with so many walks into the forest without having to take car out.

Site was immaculate including toilet/shower.

Owner was really welcoming and friendly, gave us loads of information for places to visit.

So many attractions to see all within a few miles of campsite.

Would definitely recommend.

 Liked everything.

Fantastic location right next to the Forest of Dean.

Small site. Not regimented like most sites.

Loads of places of interest to visit close by.

Disliked nothing.

Excellently maintained site on interestingly undulating ground.

Plenty of room. Some levelling required but varnished (!) wooden blocks provided where needed.

Satellite dishes available on most pitches as terrestrial signal is absent due to the hilly nature of the terrain.

Bev could not be more attentive and helpful.

Just returned from a 10 night break staying with Bev at Hawthorne Cottage.

Absolutely wonderful site in a superb location virtually surrounded by trees with the associated wildlife.

Bev is the perfect host being knowledgeable about the area, available when required but not intrusive.

Thanks for a great stay.

Gorgeous quiet site immaculately presented and run by Bev. No frills but basic and very clean toilets and showers. A shed with waste and recycling bins too, plus bird feeders and bird tables where you or Bev can put food.

Many birds visiting the feeders including woodpeckers, nuthatch, tits and finches. Also saw and heard green woodpeckers flying over. Lots of information provided by Bev too.

Love the many walks from the site into the Forest and also up across the road into a different parent of the Forest. Although quiet nowhere is very far away at all.

The roads are good if you go steady and there are shops and fuel etc nearby in Lydney or Coleford. Super chippy in Bream and great meals at The Orepool and The Miners in Sling.

Sunday lunch at the Miners is to die for but you must book.

Lovely tranquil wind down site, thanks Bev we will return.

Just spent 2 nights at one of the best campsites we have been to.

A friendly greeting on arrival, a complete description of facilities and surrounding area.

Ten hardstanding pitches well spaced and kept this site is a credit to Bev and her hard work.

As you walked out the gate there was a path leading down to the Bream Heritage Trail with so many different things to see on the way around.

The area is stunning in the Forest of Dean with so many walks especially for those with dogs.

We would highly recommend this site to any adults looking for peace and tranquillity.

Well done Bev keep up the good work.

Stunning. Exactly what we were looking for. A peaceful and tranquil couple of days.

Bev was very friendly and extremely helpful.

The Heritage walk from site was great and worth walking.

It was the first time for our two dogs and they were a little noisy but Bev was very understanding.

Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Bev emailed us very good directions to the site, which made it extremely easy to find.

Bev is very friendly and on arrival offered us blocks and a step as we were on the only pitch that had a slight slope.

Lovely walks directly from the site.

Beautifully kept site, very small site but lots of room between pitches and it is an adult only site, so very quite.

The show block was old and took a 20 pence piece for a long shower. Bev had put 20 pence pieces by the shower in case people did not have change and left complimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel again in case people didn't have anything.

Really lovely stay, we will return for longer next time. Thank you Bev. This is our favourite site that we have ever used.

I would have given the customer service more than 10, Bev is a wonderful host.
