This site is by far the best we've ever stayed at. The toilet/showers are amazingly roomy and in 2 halves so they're never closed for cleaning. The grounds are very well kept, as people were vacating the plots the gardeners moved in to do the borders etc. The staff are very helpful and cheerful.
The walk to the beach takes about 10 minutes walking over the sand dunes and is well worth it, miles and miles of unspoiled sand, and appears quite safe.
The town is also a short walk away as is the castle and again is worth the visit.
All in all it's a beautiful site where I would definitely make a return visit.

WOW, What a site, by far the cleanest site we have ever stayed on, the toilets and showers are more like those you would get is a good hotel, they are immaculate, they are separated into two halves by shutters, when it comes to cleaning they close one half to clean leaving the other half open to use, the fully serviced pitches are inspected, grass edges trimmed and stones put back on hard-standing every time a pitch is vacated.
The staff are friendly and helpful, after ten days on site they almost seem like you known them forever.
There is a nice sized play area including a play park and separate fenced dog walking area, we didn't take our dog but when we realized just how dog friendly Wales was we wished we had of done.
Location is great, ten minutes to the lovely clean beach and about the same to town (up a big hill!), unfortunately Harlech seems to be shrinking from its former glory but the shops that are left were all very friendly, especially castle gift shop.
The one down side was the wireless which they don't charge for as they know its not great, you give a donation to charity to use, in fact on a rainy day it was impossible to use as the whole site was on it, on sunny days or early morning it worked fine.
Thanks Min-Y-Don, great site! Long way from Norwich !

What an immaculate site. Pitches were in perfect condition, weeded and edges trimmed almost daily. All pitches are fully serviced, this is the first time we have used a fully serviced pitch and we felt thoroughly spoilt. The toilet block was outstanding, best I've seen. Immediate site access was good for all sized vehicles but this is Wales remember and access via all road routes are subject to the odd hill and odd tight bend but nothing too precarious. Barmouth is just up the coast a few miles and is probably the biggest/closest town. Harlech itself, sadly, is a little tired and run down albeit has a beautiful castle and the most amazing beach. Miles and miles of flat sandy beach, half of which is dog friendly all year round. When we went (first week in July) there was hardly a soul on 4 miles of sand. The site has the backdrop of Harlech castle on one side, Royal St David's Golf Course on the other (which you walk through for about 5 minutes to the direct access to the beach) and the mountain ranges in the distance over to Snowdon. No shop on site but a Premier just a few minutes walk at the end of the road. Lovely play area for children on site, looked almost brand new, and a fab little enclosed dog area which was perfect for our two lurchers who can never be let off the lead for fear of them running away. The fact we could let them off as the dog area was completely enclosed was ideal for them. Perfect and peaceful site, good location for exploring this area of Wales.

An absolute gem of a site. Within walking distance of a lovely beach which is great for walking the dog!
Immaculately kept site and the toilet blocks were again absolutely spotless. A shop nearby within walking distance and Harlech village too, although up a very steep hill ( great on the way back!) The site is a credit to all those involved with it's maintenance. We will definitely be returning.

My family and I have just returned from a week stay on the site. It was our second visit. The site is still as wonderful as it was the first time!2 adults and two children 8 and 10 years.
Firstly: great site, well maintained.
Great kids area with something for all ages up to teens.
Fabulous shower block, spotless as always.
Great location for the beach, golf course and Harlech and surrounding towns.
I would like to make a special mention about the staff. We had a couple of incidents during the visit and my husband ended up in hospital (nothing to do with the site at all!) The staff went out of their way to help us out. They gave us all the details we needed and offered local advice that was priceless! Carl and his wife went above and beyond when they looked after our two dogs whilst we were off site. They regularly checked on how things were going, even offering to extend our stay to take account of my husband's health.
Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made sure we didn't have to worry about a thing.
I can't recommend this site enough for all the right reasons and not just the amazing care we had. Faultless all round, even the sun was shining the whole time!
Thanks again to the staff for all their support and help, you made all the difference to our holiday and hope to see you next year, if you'll have us!

Excellent site with first rate facilities. Toilets and showers must be the best that I have experienced, unless you are fussy about privacy cubicles in the male area There is a free courtesy bus which runs from the Beach Car Park to the railway station and castle (every 30 mins), which you can board at the site entrance. The long sandy beach is fantastic.
Trains run to Harlech or Pwllheli every 2 hours, except at present the Pwllheli route has replacement buses due to a bridge reconstruction (expected to be finished by September).

We are a family of two adults and two boys aged 8 and 10 and a dog! We visited with another family of the same make up. The site itself is very clean and tidy and well maintained. The shower blocks are spacious, warm and clean. There is an excellent park area for the kids with various different areas to play on. Our kids spent a lot of time there. The dog walking area has plenty of dog bins and although it is small it is more than enough as you are located right on the beach.
We were in pitch 43/42 next to the dog walk and park area. If you don't have kids it may be a bit noisy for you next to the park but we had no issues.
The only downside was that we were located next to the perimeter fence next to some flats. There was one family that played loud music a couple of times and had a domestic where they were screaming and shouting at each other but that was in the daytime and other than that it was quiet. I would worry if this would happen more often in the future and we didn't want our kids to hear the language used!
We ate at the Victoria pub near Talybont which was good as usual and the pub located next to the train tracks a 5 min walk from the site (name forgotten) it was really nice and had good food and service. Worth a visit again.
Overall a great site with everything you need. We would return again.

I can only repeat other reviewers sentiments about this exceptional park with first class facilities. A spotless service block opened by card entry and an extra touch with piped music. Fresh water tap and grey water drains on each pitch that is reasonably level - our van for once didn't require leveling blocks. A convenience store is a few minutes walk from the site selling a useful range of items albeit a little pricey. If you walk the other way you will find miles of sandy beaches to enjoy with stunning views of Snowdonia. My only negative comment about this really good site is that you can't chose you pitch. We were placed mid way along and found which ever way we looked it was either into the vans opposite or into the neighbouring units. But other than that I would recommend the site.

Just returned from this site and could not be more pleased. The toilet blocks are the best we have ever visited and the pitches are well spaced. The location is superb with a lovely view of the castle. We have spent a brilliant two weeks there and would definitely return. The only criticism I have is the low grade gravel on the hard standings which mean heavy duty pegs are required along with a good carpenters hammer.
